(CNN) - More than a dozen pieces of jewelry were stolen from former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s Deer Valley, Utah home last week, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
Park City police told the paper that the thief was likely someone who had access to the house. There was no sign of forced entry.
The $5 million home is currently up for sale, along with another Romney residence in Massachusetts.
The former Massachusetts governor will address activists at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington Friday, as he aims for his third win in the annual gathering’s presidential preference straw poll.
Just like you morons...... a crime was committed and because he is republican, you say he deserved it.
Pathetic losers.
It was that republican raccon caught on the White House grounds
RUSH LIMBAUGH SAYS ROBBERY CAUSED BY OBAMA'S STIMULAS PACKAGE! ha ha
Stealing is wrong, whether the victim rich or the poor. It sounds like the majority of the comments here condone stealing as long as the victim is rich or from a different political persuasion.
@Mike in VA
you said: Hey if all you democrats like the budget so much how about you all pay for it! I'd rather keep MY money for MY family thank you.

Mike, all you republicans aren't as stupid as you look that is a great idea. First you pay for the 5 trillion dollars your boy dubya racked up and the next time the republicans want to take out another leader based on lies and false information you and your family can fight the war.
Why do you liberals bash a guy that has worked so hard to earn all his riches? Romney is not paris hilton or britney spears here. He got into the best schools, got an mba/jd, created one of the greatest investment firms, saved the olympics, etc. i'd say he's earned every penny he has, all through the america dream. why are liberals so quick to criticize a guy that has earned his riches?
I am an Independent who really respects Romney. Romney was brilliant in his article about the auto bailout situation and he turned out to be right. Republicans should smarten up and ask Romney to represent themselves more because he is smart and very good looking. Romney should be in charge of the financial mess not someone like Obama. In my humble opinion.
"What I wanna know from you then, do you wanna share my lust with,
I love til the day when I'm feeling your care,
and is just I heard that you wanna spend the one night,
I'm helpless for you baby but is alright..."
Ohhh weeee, guess who won? LOL!!! Took out 3 of those bastards, you know what I'm doing, LOL!!!!
I'm helpless for you baby but is alright...
For crying out loud, even the twist is bustin out, LOL!!
Ohh snaps, Mitt is onto us, we gotta hide...

Suspicious……he just sold two estates and now this. Insurance fraud. But that is the Republican way. WE all pay for their mistakes, not them.
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Wow, just wow. I have no idea how some of you actually have the cognitive ability to function. Has it occurred to you that this latest plan to stimulate the economy has more pork in it than an Oscar Meyer plant, and it's not even mechanically separated? Yes, W did spend a lot in Iraq, but, if the democratic peace theory holds (like it has for, well, all of recorded history) it will be money well spent. This bill is horrible and gives billions to pet projects that will not create the 3 million jobs that BO predicted, but will put us even further into debt.
Uh – this may be a dumb question, but WHY would someone leave jewelry in a house that is for sale and is probably being shown by strangers to strangers?
Do we want this nitwit in charge? (Don't think so).
I'm just saying..............................
Well... now we know where the racoon when..
Okay...... explain to me WHY WASN'T THESE VALUABLES IN A SAFE IF YOU ARE SELLING THE HOME MR. ROMNEY?
WHO in their right mind leaves valuable jewelry in a home they are selling? Does that make any sense?
It sounds like Mitt Romney is in serious FINANCIAL trouble and it trying to keep it under raps. FIRST he announces he's selling TWO of hims mansions because they don't need the space. YEAH RIGHT.
NOW....we hear one of the house being sold was ROBBED? This is sounding TOO coincidental for me. Something sounds very fishy, fishy, fishy......
RICH WHITE MEN like Mitt Romney know exactly how to CHEAT the system better than any criminal in the street!!!! Mitt is NOT fooling anyone with this garbage, he's trying to cover up his financial trouble BIG TIME. Republicans are such COWARDS.
you have your The $5 million home is currently up for sale... you have people looking at it... and you don't have your jewelry in at least a locked box?
here's your sign
Which one?
He won't miss it. It was probably plastic paste that you spread all over your face to pretend you're human.
Sounds like an insurance scam to me.

Just to put the facts out there ...
Romney was born in Detroit, Michigan, and is the son of former Michigan Governor, American Motors chairman and 1968 presidential candidate George W. Romney.
Yes, he had such a hard life, and worked for every penny.
Now, since we know that is not true, stick to the facts!
Matt (PA)
Yeah, Romney sure had to work hard at being born, you're right.
Look up information on his life. He's not the Horatio Alger story you'd like him to be.
Additional, a big booooo to ANY liberals on here who say that he deserved to be burglarized because he's a Republican. Do unto others.
I don't know. This seems to be happening quite a bit these days all across the country. I'm just suspicious by nature I guess. But I suspect many of these once wealthy have found themselves in a financial bind and, for insurance purposes, maybe having their own property vandalized or claiming it was, then filing large insurance claims to regroup and get money. I suspect many of these once wealthy are heavily in debt and most of their riches weren't in actual dollars and cents, but were on paper or tied up in the stock market. that's my opinion of course. But I suspect we'll be hearing more and more of these so-called high profiled home "burglaries."
Unless someone came in and used force or threatened the residents of the home, then it was "burglarized" and not "robbed".
So now his wife will have to wear her $500,000 bracelet instead of the 1 million dollar one. So what, this is not news.
it's bad to make fun of robbery in ANY situation, yet I find it so ironic that the far right posters that make fun of EVERYTHING President Obama has done from his wife, kids and even choosing a puppy get insulted when there are some here taking a poke at Romney. As far as I'm concerned it's wrong on BOTH sides but as usual it appears the far right has NO problem dishing such tripe out but darned sure can't take it.
Wow, Rethuglican haters out in full force, aren't they?
Must have been the Obama tax collectors getting an early start.
