Rush Limbaugh is featured along with several Republican leaders in Congress in a new ad out Friday paid for by two liberal groups.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - A new ad out Friday argues that the Republican leadership in Congress is following Rush Limbaugh’s lead.

Entitled “No,” the 30-second television spot, highlights Republican opposition to the Obama administration’s $787 billion stimulus package.

“So who are Republican leaders listening to?,” an announcer asks before the ad cuts abruptly to footage of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh saying “I want him [Obama] to fail.”

“No,” is paid for by Americans United for Change and AFSCME, two groups that supported Obama during the general election and who are advocating for his agenda now that he’s in the Oval Office. The ad airs Friday through early next week on national cable and in the Washington area, according to a statement by Americans United for Change announcing the ad.

Limbaugh is set to speak Saturday in Washington at the Conservative Political Action Conference, an annual gathering of conservative activists.

Updated Noon with RNC response: “The Democrats are running a permanent campaign rather than doing the bipartisan work of governing," Republican National Committee spokesman Alex Conant said in an e-mail to CNN. "These ads are part of the Democrats’ larger strategy to do something, anything to try to take the focus of their massive spending binge," Conant added.

It's pretty much obvious when every Republican that speaks out against Rush has to come on his show the next day, kiss the rings, and beg the Godfadda for forgiveness.

Scott the Independent   February 27th, 2009 12:01 pm ET

Rob – Ayers is not an advisor – if Rush told you that then I understand why you are confused on the facts.

TRUTH   February 27th, 2009 12:01 pm ET

Hey Richard, that is better than the spokesmen for the Democrats whom are illegal immigrants and uneducated and unemployed welfare leeches.

AndrewW   February 27th, 2009 12:01 pm ET

This is obvious, and has been obvious. Look at all the Repubrickans on CNN.com. All they ever do is repeat what Limbaugh or Hannity say.

I hate to say it but the South has the worst education of the country and yet they have the highest amount of Republicans. WHY IS THAT?

Who are the educated people, and who are the followers who listen to what they're told on the radio?

Leah from FL   February 27th, 2009 12:01 pm ET

Palin/Limbaugh 2012.
Is that really the ticket the gop wants? This is scary and sad.

Obama   February 27th, 2009 12:01 pm ET

Rush lol.. oh what a role model to listen to!! Geesh.. just like Jindal was the rising Star and Palin was the perfect VP.

Where do the republicans come up with these jokesters??

Palin is now paying taxes on income she claimed as PerDiem working from home and did anyone see that it wasnt just days here and there it was like a maternity leave at home from like after her son was born til June? Several months! Now she is paying taxes on it.

Plus she is now paying $7000 back to the state for her kids trips that were not by law considered for her to claim the state to pay for.

This is just so funny!!! then Jindal comes out and boy was he dumb! Just how did he get in charge of Louisiana? New Orleans is still in shackles!

suzyku   February 27th, 2009 12:01 pm ET

The ad is correct! The republicans are really pretty stupid and disgusting. They need to all disband, get rid of their idiotic so called leaders (who don't lead), get rid of the right wing nut jobs and start over! When they speak the majority of this country doesn't listen anymore!

Scott the Independent   February 27th, 2009 12:00 pm ET

This is what the democrats have failed to do the past 8 years. Point out the flaws; express a voice and support the agenda for change. Call the republican party on everything they do. Let them know the eyes of the world are on them, their lies and their misrepresentations. I'll be making a contribution to both this organizations.

Bev   February 27th, 2009 11:59 am ET

I think this is the biggest joke. The liberal news media has brainwashed Americans into "Obama Messiah Syndrome" for over a year now. How on earth can they justify attacking a conservative radio host? Possibly because he has the #1 rated talk show in the country? Gee...I wonder why. Don't worry. After Obama's spending sends the economy into a tailspin all his "It's Bush's fault" rhetoric will fall on deaf ears. Americans have short memories and little patience. After four years of this liberal garbage we will have a conservative in office again to clean up this mess. In the meantime the Democrats are going to Attack! Attack! Attack! the Republicans as usual but it won't work.

Chris - Denver   February 27th, 2009 11:58 am ET

That tells me prettty much all I need to know about the party that runs on "character" issues. Taking cues from a lawless drug addicted hypocrite

Noneya   February 27th, 2009 11:58 am ET

Joseph Goebbels – Goebbels used modern propaganda techniques to manipulate and psychologically prepare the German people for a large scale military conflict. Among other propaganda devices, he invented the "Big Lie" technique, of blaming the victims (such as the Poles, the Jews, the French) for the transgressions of the perpetrators.

Sound familiar?

One big, fat, drug-addled fool leading the rest of the fools who threw America under the bus. Hopefully, he'll continue to lead these delusional GOP puppets over the cliff and America can regain some integrity and economic stability.

Peggy A   February 27th, 2009 11:57 am ET

All the Liberals out there there voted Obama into office are now trying to take away the freedom of free speech. Rush Limbaugh has said over and over that he hopes President Obama's POLICIES fail, not the person. It's time for Democrats and Republicans to open their eyes and not let the Far Left take this country into Socialism. First it's the bank, then it's health care. America better open up her eyes or we're not going to recognize the country we live in.

David   February 27th, 2009 11:57 am ET

What a joke! The AFSCME......whatever. Rush.......whatever. So do you all really buy into this two-party scam?

Jeff   February 27th, 2009 11:57 am ET

Seems like it would be nice if, rather than name calling and mudslinging, we could talk about the issues. Liberals don't always have the right answers, and conservatives don't always have the right answers. We need both in this country. Not every leader is perfect. We'll just have to live with that. Both sides are doing their best to improve the country we all love.

The same sort of hitting below the belt that Senator DeMint used is showing up in these comments quite frequently, and from both sides. Doesn't it seem odd that these uncivilized rants are taking the place of informed discussion? Gets old after a while.

Limbreath Is A Big Fat Pig   February 27th, 2009 11:56 am ET

CELESTE ADAMS   February 27th, 2009 11:56 am ET

DOES RUSH LIMBAUGH EVER TALK ABOUT THE DRUG CARTELS IN AMERICA SINCE HE CAN'T VOTE ANY MORE?

CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME IF RUSH LIMBAUGH DRUG ARREST AT THE AIRPORT IN FLORIDA WERE FIXED OR THE OTHER DRUG ARREST HAVE BEEN FIXED WHEN HE HAD THE 200 PAIN KILLERS FROM DIFFERENT DOCTORS?

lequino   February 27th, 2009 11:56 am ET

The unfortunate truth is that most Republicans share Limbaugh's ideology. It doesn't matter that Limbaugh's success is waning. His past influence was so powerful that now many ( a majority, which includes many Congressmen) have become like him in their willingness to express their beliefs in the nastiest and most extreme way possible. In fact many Republicans view anything less than utter ugliness to be weakness.
The real pity is that because Limbaugh and those like him keep up a constant chant of a liberal media bias, they are able to continue with their hateful diatribes and the division in our nation continues to widen. Limbaugh is a seditionist, though he cannot be prosecuted as such.

Noneya   February 27th, 2009 11:55 am ET

Rush Limbaugh – the new Joseph Goebbels.

CH in Maine   February 27th, 2009 11:55 am ET

To my progressive friends,

Stop trying to shut Limbaugh up. It is counter-productive. Think about it: when you are in a debate you can always score points by taking your opponents argument to its extreme and exposing in as flawed. Linbaugh is doing us a favor on a daily basis through his buffoonery . Every time he opens his mouth it advances our cause. So just relax and don't try to bring him down he is a great spokesman for the republican party.

Dana   February 27th, 2009 11:55 am ET

You have to be the biggest gullable of a moron to actually sit and listen to Rush Limbaugh for an extended period of time, and then actually say to yourself that his rhetoric fits into your persona and sounds logical!

What does it say about a person that feels empowered by belittling and demeaning someone else all the time, and hoping they fail? What do you lack as a person for you to feel that you can put down someone else and be happy about it, as if it's such a great accomplishment? As if it has defined a new accolade for you to brag about.

This is what defines Limbaugh. And this is what people consider their representation as a Republican? No wonder America has not progressed in the past few years as it should.

T the B   February 27th, 2009 11:54 am ET

So now Rush is the new leader of the Republican party? Is that the high Rush or the sober one?

If the way to fix what Bush has wrought is socialism for a few years, then count me in. Doing what the Republicans suggest...more of what got us here in the first place...isn't going to cut it. Cutting taxes on the rich and powerful won't help the deficit. And cutting programs for people who desperately need help in this country WILL make matters worse. Our schools are falling apart, big oil and the coal industry rule the energy debate, and health care costs in the free enterprise system they love so much are bankrupting hard-working families. Come up with some NEW ideas.

I am a Republican.

I don't listen to Limbaugh, he is a big mouth blowhard.

I want the Obama stimulus plan to work because that would be best for America.

I don't believe it will work because it has too much spending in it that will not stimulate and does not do enough to actually stimulate. I believe it will fail but do want it to work.

Obama's budget will have a 1.75 trillion deficit. This is on purpose. He complains about the deficit he inherited and then add over a trillion to it. That is not rational or credible. How is that different than the peolpe who bought homes they could not pay for.

Republican opposition to the Obama spendulus is based on rational thinking, not Limbaugh.

proud army navy mom,

I pity your ignorance. Try listening to Rush sometime, you may learn something.
Limbaugh and a few others are the only few who risk honest journalism, research and thought and have a clear sense as to what is really at stake, why do you think the liberals are trying to shut him up?
Millions of people who listen to Mr. Limbaugh (who incidently did not vote for Obama) are up to date as to what is happening to our country. Our freedoms are at stake, especially freedom of speech. The liberals want to keep you ignorant, they do not want you to know the truth, that is why they will try to get rid of Mr. LImbaugh.

Obama and his liberal buddies are taking our country down the wrong path of socialism. Only time will tell what our country will become if we continue down this path of destruction. Socialism when tried has ALWAYS failed.

Tom Ware   February 27th, 2009 11:47 am ET

I don't think this a revalation. Mr. Obama has not tried very hard to disguise his socialistic views. The questions is not if the president is a socialist but will he have the support to carry out his agenda? If he turns the economy around probably so , if not he and his policies are toast.

Mark   February 27th, 2009 11:47 am ET

1- I am happily married to my wife( my first and ONLY)
2- I have children who I support through hard honest work
3- I am not a recovering drug addict
4- I have 2 college degrees
5- I am a well adjusted adult, unlike him

Why don't you and the rest of the Right-wingnut dittoheads who can't think for yourselves suck on that?

Nathan   February 27th, 2009 11:45 am ET

I am a registered Republican that voted for President Obama. My vote was a direct result of a Republican campaign that lacked new ideas and that relied on fear and hate. It is a shame that Senator McCain caved in to the so called Republican base. Why are we so fearful of change and why would anyone continue to listen to Rush Limbaugh? Without a radio show, Mr. Limbaugh would be just another frightened extremist who's voice would not make the news. His bouncing, closed minded rants do not serve the party. The Republican party would be better off to tune him out and think for themselves. Let's stop being so negative and put our country first. We lost the election, it's now time to restructure the party. Our strength lies in new ideas and our open minded core rather than a harmful, minority base.

Obama has my full support. He is doing a great job and I look forward to seeing more of his centrist common sense ideas. Still reading the budget, and it is big. But it also is a continuation of stimulus as well as rebuilding broken things, like health insurance, our energy policy, our military/foreign policy.

Thanks to Bush, we finally have brought the republican strategy of rob from the poor and give to the rich to its final conclusion. It's a stupid philosophy.

Howard Stern would analyze a topic and then tell a woman to show her boobs. Their actions consistently undermined their opinions.

I have respect for true and honest conservatives (regardless of party). I don't typically agree with them, but I can typically understand their points of view and opinions. Mr. Limbaugh, however, represents that form of neoconservativism that is ruining any respect that I can have for the Republican party. I think it is important to have an opposition voice in any political arena. I just fear that if conservatives can't find a more intelligent spokesperson, then that opposing voice that keeps the "ins" honest is really going to fade to obscurity. Please, Republicans do a better job of finding someone to argue your points...Steele, Jindal, Palin and Limbaugh just aren't representing you very well.

Interesting! Limbaugh is leading the phony charge against the Obama administration! Let us see just how long Limbaugh can leave himself exposed like this. The Jindal speech was horrendous and only Limbaugh is out there supporting this situation. Leaving himself exposed like this just might issue calls for his political ambitions which he really doesn't want because he makes far more money and influence in his talk show format. It appears that it is only Limbaugh this time to leave the charge up San Juan Hill. Hopefully for him there may people behind him but don't count on it! Thus Limbaugh's problem of winnowing out there on his limb bough!

We have more serious issues to be concerned about than Limbaugh – if you follow what is going on we have issues such as our Constitution being attacked , specifically 1st and 2nd Amendement by our own Leaders. America will catch on and it appears they realize they made the "mistake of all mistakes" in Nov 2008.

It's hilarious that the "voice" of the Republican party is a pill popping radio host.

Republicans, are you high?

WAKE UP.

Rush has what ever liberal on these boards will never have:

Tom   February 27th, 2009 11:36 am ET

Of course Rush Limbaugh wants Obama to fail he is a racists, and can not stand like many other Republicans that a bright, intelligent black man is our President. Typical...

I am very proud of our President, Mr.Obama

thomas   February 27th, 2009 11:35 am ET

That's okay, Rush. He wants you to fail too, you big ol' Oxycontin junkie, you.

Doug, New Jersey   February 27th, 2009 11:35 am ET

The GOP is ran by Limbaugh just as much as the executive branch is now ran by William Ayers and Rev. Wright. Just the truth, which lib calls a hate crime.

Wake-me-when-it's-over   February 27th, 2009 11:35 am ET

Rush has clarified his stance in wanting Obama to fail. He wants his
making this country into a 'Socialist' country to fail. Of course many of
you want socialism, because you have your little hands out, wanting a big handout.

The similarities between this pill popping blowhard, Sarah Palin, the republican party in general and the Nazi rabble-rousers of pre-war 1920's Germany are truly frightening. How did we arrive here ?

senterhistory   February 27th, 2009 11:33 am ET

This article shows exactly what's wrong with the GOP. Why they would listen to Limbaugh or "take cues" from him is beyond belief. I hope they keep doing it, though, because it will insure Democratic victories for years to come.

MB   February 27th, 2009 11:33 am ET

There's a smart move on the part of the GOP. Drunk for a president and druggie to guide them now. The Reps are taking a cookbook approach to politics. Now if they could just find an ultra conservative female, minority, disabled war veteran from an Ivy League school earning $30K per year, they'll have the perfect candidate.

On the other hand, they could listen to America and do the will of the people and not the will of the party.

proud american   February 27th, 2009 11:32 am ET

I don't know anyone who worship(s) him. There are many very intelligent people in our great country who believe he makes some very valid points in his comments though.

Mike Webb   February 27th, 2009 11:32 am ET

Rush is a fat facist!

In Houston, TX   February 27th, 2009 11:32 am ET

Rush Limbaugh is the defacto leader of the GOP. There is really no debating this fact.
When he says "jump" The republican party says "How high?"
It seems the only one who doesn't know who is leading the GOP is The GOP. Rush wants Sara Palin in 2012. The GOP will give him just what he wants.
Every now and then, I feel so sorry for republicans. They are mired in ignorance and blinded by their own arrogance. They don't know where they went wrong. They don't see a need to admit they were wrong on a few things and make corrections. I don't even think they believe in correction of errors.
We dems and liberals need the GOP. How would you know the light if not for the darkness? How would you know what was right if you never saw what was wrong?

AJ   February 27th, 2009 11:31 am ET

And this should underscore the limited IQ of republicans.

a REAL American   February 27th, 2009 11:30 am ET

I just love how liberals try to characterize those who listen to Limbaugh (I don't) as mindless sheep who can't think for themselves. The real reason millions of folks listen to him is because those ordinary folks finally have someone who can sum up their feelings and opinions. These good, hardworking Americans are worried, scared, and angry about the way things are going in this country, and having a voice out there brings a sense of empowerment and relief to them.

You can badmouth Rush all you want, because it doesn't hurt him or his message. After all, I'm still going to call Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow (who definitely takes the "fantasy" out of lesbianism!), and the likes a bunch of bitter partisan hacks who are only good at one thing– kissing Obama's ***!

Rush is a big fat idiot who is a drug addict. He is an alarmist who cannot stand the thought of a black man in the White House. Only ignorant people listen to the man. Most of his listeners don't bother to read a newspaper, watch the news, etc. They rely on him for their information without even realizing how biased he is. I believe Rush Limbaugh is a danger to American society.

JB   February 27th, 2009 11:27 am ET

Amen on Limbaugh being silly. His only real agenda is to make $$$$. Either by pleasing the big business crowd or by increasing the number of people who listen to or watch him by making outrageous comments that many times are not or are half truths. He knows the uproar that this is going to cause .... he also knows it will increase his income as more supporters and haters listen!! Turn him OFF .... tell his sponsors that you will not buy their products!!!! Just DON'T listen to or watch him.

Joanna   February 27th, 2009 11:26 am ET

Mike   February 27th, 2009 11:26 am ET

Limbaugh said he wanted obama's socialist agenda to fail not the country. The facts mean little or nothing to the democrats. Everyone needs to quit going along with obama or this country will fail thanks to obama and the democrat controlled congress. I hope we can hold on to this country until mid term elections.

katiec   February 27th, 2009 11:26 am ET

Loved the ad. To think the republican party is supporting this man shows us how out of touch with reality they are.
They insult our intelligence and put the survival of their party over
the survial of our country and us.
What a bunch of hypocrits!!

Desmond   February 27th, 2009 11:25 am ET

A question of the blind ( not to speak of the vicious, bitter and very dumb) leading the blind and at least very dumb!

Dana   February 27th, 2009 11:25 am ET

Rush is a white Jesse Jackson, always stirring the pot to keep everyone upset.it beats working for a living, I guess, as long as there are these dwebs who listen to him.

Todd   February 27th, 2009 11:25 am ET

The GOP is so incredibly out of touch with America right now that I don't think all the blame can go to one bad talk-radio personality. As a whole they seem to have just stopped thinking.

Dan   February 27th, 2009 11:24 am ET

Al Franken called it right before!

Steve   February 27th, 2009 11:24 am ET

Just another example of how broken the Republican Right (which is not to say the same as the Republican Party) really is. The Republicans are edging away from people like Rush. Their downfall in the last election was due in part to aligning with broken, psychologically-damaged people like him. Take your marching orders from Rush, and you'll march off a political cliff.

Minnesotan   February 27th, 2009 11:23 am ET

Good conservatism will follow. It will be the first since Reagan.

Roy   February 27th, 2009 11:23 am ET

Wow, it's nice to know that CPAC has scheduled a COMEDY act Saturday night...i am sure Rush will put the audience into hysterics with his wacky and offbeat observations of fringe American life from his little narrow mind.

AGAIN.......instead of helping or presenting ANY sort of alternatives to our current crisis, Republicans sit on the sidelines and call names.....it must be horrible to live in such small-minded fear.

Not a Texan   February 27th, 2009 11:23 am ET

Rush is divisive and I hope the GOP keeps him front and center. The majority of Americans do not believe what Rush is saying, but he will help ensure that Independents vote Democrat and motivate the Democratic base in 2010 and 2012.

Kim, Charlotte, NC   February 27th, 2009 11:22 am ET

One word....

PIG!

Casey   February 27th, 2009 11:21 am ET

What a joke. Is this what the Republican party is reduced to? They follow the lead of a nimrod radio talk show host spewing daily pizzle? This is worse than followers of Perky Palin drooling on her every word. With this kind of intellect the GOP will have absolutely NO credibility for the foreseeable future.

Randy, San Francisco   February 27th, 2009 11:21 am ET

Limbaugh, the conservative intellectual leader of the GOP. What a joke! GOP will continue to lose elections.

Jason   February 27th, 2009 11:21 am ET

Smells like fascism to me. The GOP are going to continue to drown in their hatred of minority groups and people who are less fortunate.

When the GOP say they wish Obama to fail that means they want AMERICA TO FAIL. Now who's the terrorist?

montag   February 27th, 2009 11:21 am ET

So the GOP takes their marching orders from an obese, drug-addicted, lying snake-oil saleman. How appropo!

It'll be like lemmings walking off a cliff into the sea and drowning. I love it!

Sniffit   February 27th, 2009 11:20 am ET

Kimberly in Azizona   February 27th, 2009 11:20 am ET

Republicans seem to WANT to be the party of nothing. They certainly are not taking any sort of steps to try and re-build their following. They have gone so far right that only the loons are still following them. I love it of course, it just cements the future of the Democratic party. Rush and ann coulter are NUTS, and as long as they run their ignorant traps, and the republicans in congress let them appear to be the leaders, well the better for the country, because they gaurantee their demise.

niun   February 27th, 2009 11:19 am ET

First of all why you spreading rumors? That is not what rush said he said i want OBAMA'S Policy's to fail!!!!! BIG difference! And what if they taking ideas from rush what is wrong with that ? It's a lot better then taking ideas from Polosi or REID! No wounder you wanna shut down talk radio!

Are you dems scared of Rush or what? I never listen to the man – I'm quite capable of gathering the facts and researching things on my own. I have come up with the unmistaken conclusion that Nobama is going to be a complete failure with his spend, spend and more spend mantra! He is quickly sending this country into bankruptcy and the dems are backing him. Do you people really think that we have to have someone tell us how to think like you do? You bunch of liberal fools will follow Nobama around, hanging on his every word, right into the poor house!

Q   February 27th, 2009 11:17 am ET

Yet another example of the lies of this decietful President that we have. "I'm going to bring all Americans and all parties together!" This is a great way to do it, Mr Obama!

Oh, and I did read that the ad is not from Barrack....but are truly naive enough to think that he had nothing to with it or give it his blessing??

Ray Lawson from Danville, VA   February 27th, 2009 11:15 am ET

I'm glad we have Rush Limbaugh to speak for us in this country.
He is one voice to combat the united socialist activism from the mainstream news media. I hope more of the republicans in Washington are listening to him.

JB   February 27th, 2009 11:15 am ET

I'd rather eat a roll of aluminum foil everyday for a year than listen to Limbaugh spew his right wing vitriol.

Gary   February 27th, 2009 11:15 am ET

Rush is often obnoxious and partisan in his radio show. I can usually agree with only about half of what he says and I never particularly liked the way he says it. Unfortunately, right now he is absolutely right. Right about the pork bill we called stimulus. Right about Pelosi, Reid and maybe Obama. Right about the mounting debt. Right about the direction towards socialism. I guess this time I'm actually gonna have to say "GO RUSH."

Libertarian   February 27th, 2009 11:14 am ET

When will the Republicans understand that Rush is an ENTERTAINER only looking out for his own pocket book. It's all about ratings and he could care less about America. He flunked out of school for pete sake and admits being a drug addict!

Baze   February 27th, 2009 11:13 am ET

Rush Limbaugh should know all about pork, he's the biggest pig this side of the pen.

Shelli   February 27th, 2009 11:12 am ET

Rush is an A_ _. So are the Republicans that follow him. He has helped the Republicans lose the House and Senate because these fools have followed what he has been saying and the United States is in the toilet because of Republicans following this dummy. I think he is back on the drugs that he's been using and must have given some to the Repubs that followed him and are still following him.

Shelli of Stone Mountain, GA

This is the main reason that I changed my voting to Democrat because of stupid stuff like this. I am sure many others have done the same.

Ken from missouri   February 27th, 2009 11:11 am ET

Surely , their is somone better because all Rush does is complain
we need someone to give better ideas than the president we can't
act like a bunch of babies every time he has a new plan we have got to show the american people that our solutions are better untill we do that were screwed.

geraldine   February 27th, 2009 11:10 am ET

Shoot the messenger instead of addressign the message? is that the best they can do? Love or hate any or all Republicans, but the focus should be on the merits of the debate and not what people think of Rush or Bush or Hannity or Newt or whomever.

Otherwise, I might as well say I don't agree with Obama's policy becuase I don't like Keith Olberman.

S.B. Stein E.B. NJ   February 27th, 2009 11:09 am ET

And this is a surprise to who? Given that Limbaugh is louder and less couth doesn't mean they share the same ideas. Republicans claim to be conservative and Limbaugh claims to be... Well, something that I don't think he is. He certainly doesn't speak for a large portion of America.

Michael M, Phoenix AZ   February 27th, 2009 11:09 am ET

Just what are Limbaugh's credintials anyway?

Eric   February 27th, 2009 11:08 am ET

Republicans AKA the few the proud, the demented. How appropos for Limbaugh to be their mental guru as they follow the sign of the burning cross!!! The mentally sick, lame & lazy need something to do so society won't step on their "Dittos". What a childish group of losers...

Ellie   February 27th, 2009 11:08 am ET

I hear the FAT lady singing right now.....I can't wait till 2010 and 2012 when the GOP realizes they've been punked out by Rush Limbaugh himself!!! This is going to be sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Alan   February 27th, 2009 11:07 am ET

While I do not agree that the Fairness Doctrine is truly fair, Rush Limbaugh certainly makes me yearn for its reimplementation.

Beverly, NYC   February 27th, 2009 11:06 am ET

Truth in advertising, Republicans can't really argue with this ad. I hope they keep listening to the Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, and wha's left of the hypocritical religious right, it makes the democrats look better and better. If Obama's plans work they can wander in the political wilderness for the next 20 years.

susanb   February 27th, 2009 11:06 am ET

Rush Limbaugh is the true leader of the Republican Party.

What a horrifying thought.. but not surprising.

It just means that Obama will be re-elected by a landslide in 2012.

That will make this formerly Independent moderate – now a registered Democrat – very happy!

Seattle Sue   February 27th, 2009 11:06 am ET

Joyce Becker   February 27th, 2009 11:05 am ET

Rush Limbaugh is now the leader of the Republican pack and they take their orders from him as they have nobody else to listen to. It is sad what the Grand Old Party has come to that they have to listen to that pill popping gas bag for their inspiration, mainly because he has such a loud voice and just about nothing else.

I can picture him crawling up a hill squeeling (Deliverance).

Abeed   February 27th, 2009 11:03 am ET

Yep. Rush is not a bright man. He has no education beyond high school. He just sat behind a radio mic his whole life. And this is who the GOP follows. Very typical. Whilst Obama surrounds himself with intellectuals and people who have made it like Warren Buffet, Hilary Clinton, and Bill Clinton, look at who the GOP listens to.

Lush Limprick is the real RNC chairman.   February 27th, 2009 11:03 am ET

Dutch/Bad Newz, VA   February 27th, 2009 11:00 am ET

The party of idiots. The republicans need a completely new base. When you start taking orders from Rush Limbaugh, you've lost complete credibility and it just makes it look like NONE of you are suited to lead. Rush wants the president's plan to fail. I guess all of the GOP feel the same way. Sometimes you just need to know when to shut up.

deeds   February 27th, 2009 11:00 am ET

obamma is a president that is worse then Bush! He is leading us to ruin.

Richard L   February 27th, 2009 10:59 am ET

Apparently the spokesmen for the Republican party are a soccer mom with a bachelor's degree in communication, an unlicensed plumber, and an ex-disk jockey with a high school degree who flunked everything in a one-year attempt at a higher education.

Al, NY NY   February 27th, 2009 10:59 am ET

It's unfortunate that the fat Oxycotin blimp gets attention and therefore relevance but it is true. The GOP must get the almighty approval from the gas-bag before they move on anything. The exceptions to that are now targets of his vapid bile and will probably be voted out next time around.

What are you talking about   February 27th, 2009 10:58 am ET

Okay so you have a NFL Franchise that is only averaging 2 wins a season for the past 5 years. The stadium is old, you have bad players, the coach is terrible and ticket sales are at a record low. Do you A) Keep the same stadium, same players, same coach and just lower ticket prices, lower concessions prices, lower parking prices, use the same advertising budget and hope people will start coming to the games or B) Build a new stadium, get really good free agents (which cost), Hire a great and well known Coach (which costs) and put more money into advertising. Well let me see I guess the republicans would do option A. Hmmmmm

Obambi   February 27th, 2009 10:58 am ET

If more people listened to Limbaugh–we would not be slipping down a slope to socialism.ALL OF HIS DETRACTORS ARE SCARED SILLY THAT HE IS RIGHT–HENCE THE SMEARS FROM MSM.
