WASHINGTON (CNN) –President Barack Obama on Saturday asked Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to be his nominee for Health and Human Services secretary, according to two White House officials.
The officials told CNN that Obama is expected to make the announcement Monday afternoon. The officials asked not to be named because the announcement has not yet been made.
NOW I'm annoyed. She could have run for KS senate!
Daschle would have been better. Too bad he didnt pay his taxes. This lady is a night mare.
HURRAY! Great choice, President Obama!
i think this woman is very intellegent and she is a good choice for the job. i hope she accepts it.
Another superb pick. Now President Obama's cabinet needs to get down to some serious business of running this country. For those who support the President, we need to be more vocal in our support and not let Rush Limbaugh and his crowd drown our voices. Let's us all support our President.
lame. she was another dem pickup in the senate in '10. howard dean would have been a good choice.
Good pick ! Bankrupted Kansas, now its time to move on !
I´ll appreciate that move!
Good choice! I really like Gov. Sebelius.
congratulation Gov. Kathleen Sebelius well come aboard.
Obama's choice of women to serve in his cabinet is worse then domestic violence. While I agree with affordable health care or universal healthcare, I don't see any new idea or plans to make this feasible and sustainable at least in the past or Obama's high tech plan.
YAY, i love gov. Sebelius! I'm excited about this one.....
Thanks Obama. Finally, we(conservatives) can get back the governorship in Kansas. Meanwhile, Sebelius can reveal the secrets in her closet and I trust in Obama to make it another show.
about time we have a real nominee. isn't this supposed to take place sooner?
Howard Dean must either have ROYALLY pissed someone off in the Obama Administration or he must be TOO PERFECT with his Tax Payments ...
In any case I am wishing Governor Sebelius ALL THE BEST at HHS and hopefully they can get some effective reform enacted to the American Health System ...
I live in Kansas and am a state employee. She is the greatest Governor I could ask for and will miss her. She will do a wonderful job for us in Washington as HHS Secretary.
Thank Goodness. She is a DEMOCRAT. Doesn't belong in Kansas politics!
This is a great choice
I like what the man has done. and is doing to get it right for us. and one of the things we need to learn is it's not about wht as went on before becouse look what its gotten us. this i swere we need to go so don't hate parttiapate
Good job, Mr. President. It is so refreshing to go back to how we are going to make America better especially after watching all the hate at CPAC on CNN for 2 whole hours... yawn!
Keep up the good work, President!
Obama finally found a job for this woman?
The conservative meeting this weekend was nothing more than a show made for people that are so far removed from the reality of the US that it can be called the meeting of crazzy lunatics.
