(CNN) - Conservative political commentator Ann Coulter’s 15-minute address at CPAC played more like a stand-up comedy act than a political speech.
Coulter delivered line after line of jabs at President Obama, the Democratic Party and the media – each met with roaring laughter from the crowd.
The commentator – who is no stranger to controversy – first went after MSNBC, calling the hosts the “alternative prom crowd.”
Pointing to recent comparisons of Obama to Jesus and Abraham Lincoln, Coulter said the media has turned from being the people’s watchdog to the “government guard dog.”
“Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t see Lincoln text messaging with Scarlet Johansson … and I forget, how many times did Lincoln vote present?” she said, to much applause.
Coulter likened members of the media and Democrats to parents “gushing” over a newborn baby.
“Having pulled off their rather mediocre 53 percent to 46 percent victory, liberals can’t stop boasting about their new baby boy,” she said.
She said it was interesting that Obama’s “adorers” in the media compare him to Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, because, “apparently they can’t think of a Democratic president worthy of being compared to.”
“If [Obama] thinks people wanted change in 2009, wait until 2012,” she said.
Coulter has a long history of making controversial comments about politicians. Following her appearance at the 2007 CPAC, multiple companies asked to pull their ads from her Web site after she used what some observers called an anti-gay slur to describe then-Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.
She was also at odds with Sen. John McCain during the campaign season, saying "John McCain is not only bad for Republicanism, which he definitely is - he is bad for the country."

She looks like a travesty to me
I wacthed the cpac and it's really funny to see these guys talk. I have no regards for Ann Coultier...I really think she needs to get layed and all her problems will go away. But, Rush was entertaining...that sums up the GOP!!!! It's okay to give criticsm, but not without a solution. And the movement proofed tonite that they are not and will never be a party that is inclusive.....They have a long way to go.

Rush and Ann are the living pits. I just happen to turn on my tv and there was all these people jumping up and down at Rush's comments and I thought what would this world be like with these crazy people at the helm.one thing I did learn though ,the fact that Rush was having lunch at the white house (The Obama's house now the one that the slavesbuilt)! tells me why Bush made such a mess of things for the last eight years.Did anyone say anything constructive today? all I heard was slamming Obama/Biden. Get a life Rush!! hate and jealeousy along with prejudice will eventually kill you.
This woman is just hate filled! I know it is rather a cheap shot to compare someone to the Nazis but every time I hear her talk about liberals – how they are all evil, weak, conniving cowards who secretly want to destroy this country – I can't help thinking of the old Nazi propaganda. Her writings remind me of the same style and tone of the way Nazis talked about the Jews.
All the liberal attacks as usual. I guess you weren't paying attention to the marches in New York, Miami, and Atlanta yesterday.

i love that she is still relevant among her party, i hope she continues to be, to ensure the "right's" irrelevency will also continue. Too bad palin didn't win the pole though, i have to take mitt a little more seriously, but just a little.

Yeah, and Bush had a "Large Mandate" because he won 51%-49%. He and his staff went around for weeks saying how that showed that America supported his policies and that now wasn't a time for any dissent.
In fact, the supposed "Liberal Media" then proceeded to regurgitate that talking point, stopped asking Bush and team any tough questions, and definitely didn't always have on a democrat to give their opinion on every move for "balance".
53%-46% is the largest mandate since Reagan.
