Coulter jabs Obama at CPAC

Democrats, President Obama and the media were the targets of Ann Coulter’s jokes.

Democrats, President Obama and the media were the targets of Ann Coulter’s jokes.

(CNN) - Conservative political commentator Ann Coulter’s 15-minute address at CPAC played more like a stand-up comedy act than a political speech.

Coulter delivered line after line of jabs at President Obama, the Democratic Party and the media – each met with roaring laughter from the crowd.

The commentator – who is no stranger to controversy – first went after MSNBC, calling the hosts the “alternative prom crowd.”

Pointing to recent comparisons of Obama to Jesus and Abraham Lincoln, Coulter said the media has turned from being the people’s watchdog to the “government guard dog.”

“Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t see Lincoln text messaging with Scarlet Johansson … and I forget, how many times did Lincoln vote present?” she said, to much applause.

Coulter likened members of the media and Democrats to parents “gushing” over a newborn baby.

“Having pulled off their rather mediocre 53 percent to 46 percent victory, liberals can’t stop boasting about their new baby boy,” she said.

She said it was interesting that Obama’s “adorers” in the media compare him to Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, because, “apparently they can’t think of a Democratic president worthy of being compared to.”

“If [Obama] thinks people wanted change in 2009, wait until 2012,” she said.

Coulter has a long history of making controversial comments about politicians. Following her appearance at the 2007 CPAC, multiple companies asked to pull their ads from her Web site after she used what some observers called an anti-gay slur to describe then-Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.

She was also at odds with Sen. John McCain during the campaign season, saying "John McCain is not only bad for Republicanism, which he definitely is - he is bad for the country."

Here comes the idiocracy of the "no brain" crowd (speaking to you Rob), enjoy. If I had no decency, I'd take a job as a loud, intolerant beoch or anti-American like Limp-baugh and Cult-ler. (yes, I realize that I just lost my decency by name calling, but hey I'm sure these people who live on doing that for a profession don't mind). I'd take Obama's administration over Bush's side rodeo show any day.

Well, there she goes again. Pretty, inane but ultimately she give us pointless prattle. We are down to ruling a nation with one-liners, dumbing down Americans with her every breath.

Is this woman a Catholic? She is always wearing a cross – yet she is mean and hateful to every human being. Shame on her and Hannity for claiming to be practicing christians and then speak the way they do about the human race.

Hmmmm.....between her and Limbaugh....tough call....which one is more abrasive and abusive, or more of a liability to the party since they offend most of America? Republicans will have to get a clue before they can move forward.

Before we all blindly blow this lady off... we might want to go read a book... the "Constitution of the United States of America" is a recommended read and would be a great start.

There you will find the original book of "NOs" and the source of all Miss Coulter and Rush's material.

The fact that this woman is always so mean spirited means that she has nothing to say. Her comedy is used to cover her lack of intelligence. Fortunately for her the conservatives in this country are at a intelligence level where she comes off as being smart. She's also quite unattractive.

I am very dissappointed in the Republican party. I don't have a problem with them disagreeing with President Obama, but they are just downright disrespectful, offensive, and mean spirited. They are beginning to look more and more like a hateful sect. The list of potential leaders they have come up is nothing more than a list of left overs...they are so self indulged they can't produce anything new if they tried. to.

Ann Coulter is wonderful. She has no fear. All of those who hate her do so because she is incredibly effective at exposing the hypocrisy of the liberal wacko left. She is brilliant. I am astounded at her intellect, her wit and her courage.

I say, "Bravo, Ann! Go get them." It gives me extreme pleasure to see her excoriating the left and the "trojan horse presidency" of Obama. His extreme liberal side is beginning to show now that he doesn't have to appeal to the center.

Eventually, the bloom will be off the rose with this guy. I can hardly wait. The naive young folks who voted for the nebulous concept of "change" are in for a very discouraging and disillusioning experience as he spends our country into oblivion, ostensibly for the purpose of saving it.

The only good democrat is a defeated democrat.

Rush and Ann are like those mean arrogant kids on the playground that the kids on the playground tolerate but don't invite to their birthday parties.

The pure ugly hate that comes out of that person's mouth cancels out any attractiveness she may feel she has.

To "Hey Go Back to Europe", I really have thought about doing that. You liberal Democrats are ruining our country. At least the GOP aren't a bunch of liars and crooks like Obama and his cabinet members. If George Bush had selected a cabinet like Obama has, the press would have been all over him. There is absolutely nothing Obama does that his followers consider wrong. He could snort cocaine in front of national television and MSNBC, CNN, and all the other liberal stations would say that the pressure is becoming to great for Obama, he had to have some sort of release. They will come up with an excuse for everything he does. Don't be ditching on Coulter or Limbaugh when you have people in your party and most of the media who say much worse about Republicans,( Bush, Palin, McCain, Hannity, Beck, etc.) I'm sick of your dumba$$ double standards and I'm sick already of what Obama has done to our country.

A majority of the American people have become total idiots and do not want to even really listen to any factual comments about Obama and his cronies. We are in for a long, hard haul and things are going to get much worse, not better.

Did I hear someone say circus freaks – those jokers, Limbaugh and Coulter? Of course, that's what they are.

Do they have any constructive ideas to convey? Of course, they don't.

Need I say more? Of course, not.

Ann Coulter is inconsequential. She's trying to be controversial but she's just a rerun of herself. It's pretty stale at this point.

As go the leaders so goes the party. The people are far smarter than some of our leaders want to admit. When Ms Coulter and Rush are the standard bearers, America will not be well served by such a party.

As long as CPAC "Conservatives" (there is really nothing conservative about them anymore) claim people like Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh as their leaders, they are not going to be given the chance to lead by the electorate. Don't believe me, just keep it up and find out. I hope they have a workshop on "Working Well with Others" at their convention – they appear to really need the skills!

Ms. Coulter is very entertaining, but she is always speaks her mind and minds of many conservatives. She is always right, at least, according to me. If you want to hear the truth, listen Ann Coulter.

I find it ironic how Republicans like Ann call themselves conservative Christians, wear crosses around their necks, yet dress as though they are going to a local bar looking for a date, are addicted to and would do anything to obtain wealth and power and have absolutely no concern for the poor or helping others..these thoughts and actions of theirs are in direct opposition to what the bible teaches and what Jesus himself would do...hypocrits do us all a favor and take five minutes out of your day and look at yourself in the mirror, than go find a church pew and make some changes on yourself, this would help our world and you more than anything.
