Coulter jabs Obama at CPAC

Democrats, President Obama and the media were the targets of Ann Coulter’s jokes.
Democrats, President Obama and the media were the targets of Ann Coulter’s jokes.

(CNN) - Conservative political commentator Ann Coulter’s 15-minute address at CPAC played more like a stand-up comedy act than a political speech.

Coulter delivered line after line of jabs at President Obama, the Democratic Party and the media – each met with roaring laughter from the crowd.

The commentator – who is no stranger to controversy – first went after MSNBC, calling the hosts the “alternative prom crowd.”

Pointing to recent comparisons of Obama to Jesus and Abraham Lincoln, Coulter said the media has turned from being the people’s watchdog to the “government guard dog.”

“Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t see Lincoln text messaging with Scarlet Johansson … and I forget, how many times did Lincoln vote present?” she said, to much applause.

Coulter likened members of the media and Democrats to parents “gushing” over a newborn baby.

“Having pulled off their rather mediocre 53 percent to 46 percent victory, liberals can’t stop boasting about their new baby boy,” she said.

She said it was interesting that Obama’s “adorers” in the media compare him to Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, because, “apparently they can’t think of a Democratic president worthy of being compared to.”

“If [Obama] thinks people wanted change in 2009, wait until 2012,” she said.

Coulter has a long history of making controversial comments about politicians. Following her appearance at the 2007 CPAC, multiple companies asked to pull their ads from her Web site after she used what some observers called an anti-gay slur to describe then-Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.

She was also at odds with Sen. John McCain during the campaign season, saying "John McCain is not only bad for Republicanism, which he definitely is - he is bad for the country."

The extinction of the conservative Confederate movement...

...led by the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin et al...

...should be PRIORITY ONE of the thinking American public...

...we have some 30% of the voting public causing America to have cancer of the collective brain...

...and they should be surgically removed from our collective consciousness...

What a disgusting person she is. Rush Limbaugh in a skirt. I'm sure her stupid jabbing comments don't bother Barack, because she probably says the same things about her own family. If they even acknowledge that she is family.

I know there's so many on the right wing of political thoughts are great people. I know they want what is best for their families, their neighbors and their country. We simply find destructive thoughts on both sides extremes of the left and right. I am a liberal in some areas. I am conservative in others. America deserves the best of both. Coulter and Limbaugh represent the worse in that effort. This is unfortunate for American, unfortunate for the GOP.

ann coulter is DIS-GUS-TING....but I gotta agree with her about the media coverage of Obama. I'm quite happy about some of the things he's done already, but where in the world is the media objectivity?

As a young conservative, I am proud to see leaders of the conservative movement pushing back. No longer will the conservatives allow oursleves to be pushed around without voicing our opinion. The liberal media, liberal agenda and the Democrates have instilled fear in to the American people. The liberals and Democrates have refused to respect conservative views and it is time Conservatives stand up to these institutions. We must not conform to the liberal agenda just because of the pressure we are feeling in everday life from their fear mongering. The liberals refused to show any respect for George W. Bush from the begginning and wanted him to fail from the begginning. Yet they are blaming conservative leaders for wanting Obama to fail? What a Joke!!! They(liberals) are nothing but hypocrites.

Ann Coulter is a media celebrity who makes a good living off her schtick...but as a political analyst she's a joke... guess that's why the Republican base love her so much. Because she uses that shallow, slapstick, nasty and often totally fabricated line of attack that they eat up like ice cream on a hot summer day.

What I don't get it how she manages to get SO much airtime (and website space). She (and Rush) are media celebrities who don't really care about a meaningful, civil and informed debate – so why do so many seem to believe that their spewing is worthy of so much coverage? I don't mind listening to solid Republican political analysis (Mike Murphy, Alex C) but puh-lease – these others folks are just a joke.

Move on...... nothing to see here. Coulter and Limbaugh are characters - not serious commentators on the state of our nation or our economy. Unfortunately, Obama's victory means that they will be in the spotlight for the next 8 years.

The Evil of Extremism: White Supremacists, Nazism, bin Ladenism, Limbaughism, ,, all characterized by self-proclaimed righteousness, open or disguised hatred of others, egotism, self-indulgence, excused gross dishonesty, rationalized and exaggerated self-protection, feelings that more is owed them, aristocratic style arrogance, proclaimed absolute authority and more, all being examples of a warped self-centered, sociopathic philosophy that seeks to falsely justify suppressing some while elevating themselves. The doctrine is promoted by charismatic leaders using twisted arguments to create enthusiasm in crowds seeking to belong. The cure: a large dose of humility, an openness to all others, an adapting of honest objectivity, a patience with reality, an acceptance of own fallibility, an understanding of fitting in instead of presiding over, disciplined moderation and a faith that is real in recognizing and accepting everyone’s equal value under God. Extremism will always eventually bring down the society that incorporates it but in the process it will cause drastic harm and severe injustice – it is a sickness.

If the Republican's are going to look to the likes of Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh for leadership, there is no doubt that Obama will be a 2 term President. The American people turned their backs on GW Bush's & the GOP policies, much of which got us into the mess we are in now. Let these people talk...the majority of the American people already saw through their line of BS. The GOP is full of sore losers and the more they "talk" the better it will be for this country because the change we demanded will continue. Let the GOP continue to cry over spilled milk.

As a 62 year old student of world history – I have but two words for the Limbaugh talk:
    Sig Heil
    Sig Heil

It reminded me so much of the old Nazi films of Hitler addressing his minions and them adoring and cheering.

Thanks to the likes of Coulter and Limbaugh they have gone well beyond the edge of reason.

I love how out of touch and how little conservatives know of history. Yes it is true Lincoln was a republican but what they do not say is that the republican party was the liberal party prior to the depression. When you consider where the Republican party was in the days of Lincoln he would have voted for Obama and against McCain. This is how illiterate these morons are, they do not even know their own history. The last of the liberal republicans was Teddy Roosevelt, the first of the major conservative Republicans was Herbert Hoover, ring any bells? On the other hand the Democrats were the conservative party during the times of the liberal republicans, the last of the conservative democrats was Woodrow Wilson and the first of the liberal democrats was Franklin Roosevelt, both parties did a 180 duting the first part of this century so to here these clowns going on about Linclon is like hearing democrats going on about GW Bush, they do not have a clue to their true roots or history. Please moronic republicans if you are going to try and talk like you know what is going on at least know your history, anyone who has been to college and has taken political history kows these facts. But then I guess there is the problem, it is truly hard to find a republican who has ever gone through High School let alone college, sheesh, what a bunch of morons.

The power in the majority generally benefits when the opposition party becomes dominated by a vocal lunatic fringe. Limbaugh and Coulter are playing right in to the hands of the democrats. The republicans who understand this are not yet influential. The chances are high that 2010 will bring the democrats a 60 or more majority in the senate. At this point the democrats will say something like "Since you chose obstruction when we gave you a chance to participate, why should you have any say now." If the republicans don't figure it out soon, they are really going to have some stuff to rail about. At least the socialist/communinist accusations are giving them bigger fish to fry than the social conservative hate-mongoring stuff.

Of course she does. Without her "mouth piece", what would Ann be doing? NO one would listen or care about this schmuck!! People like Ann and Rush are nothing but LOUD MOUTHS, they don't have any expertise in anything they claim to be an expert in. Isn't that funny?

Has Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter ever been elected into public office?

Has Rush or Ann ever ran or managed a Fortune 500 Corporation?

Has Rush or Ann ever been Secretary of State?

Has Rush or Ann ever been President of the United States?

Is Rush or Ann a certified EXPERT in the medical or psychiatric fields? (Well, Rush is definitely American's favorite expert pill-popping drug addict, and Ann is an expert in being an anorexic blonde bimbo)

AND yet these two fumbling idiots have the audacity to go around diagnosing everyone else but themselves!! Rush himself is nothing more than a PILL-POPPING drug addict. Why Americans are so desperate to believe his garbage as valid or factual is truly unbelievable. It's not wonder people around the world think Americans are stupid and can't think for themselves. When you have thousands of Americans listening to a man who who sits inside a 6×9 windowed box and does nothing but "trash and bash" and America pays him millions, you have to wonder who are the suckers here?

Same scenario when it comes to Ann Coulter. Without her "trailer trash book", she's a NOBODY. NO one cares what this woman thinks or says. She's just another "BIG MOUTH" bashing and trashing others to make HERSELF relevant. LOL.

I bet if the media dug deep into Ann's personal background, we would find out that this woman is nothing but a "hoax" wanting attention from WHITE men who spew hate and racial bias across the country. Ever ask yourself WHY isn't ANN married or a mother? Exactly. She's too focused on being another Rush Limbaugh in a skirt!! This is all an ACT by Ann Coulter, she wants attention by all those WHITE racist men, because any normal, intelligent man would see right through Ann Coulter's true agenda. Ann is all Ann, she wants the CELEBRITY STATUS and someone to listen to her.

The CPAC event sounded and look to me like just another political KKK rally. Despite the fact they pandered their new "token black" RNC Chairman Micheal Steele. What a joke. Micheal Steele is NOT going to change the WHITE RACIST RNC. Are you El'LOCO? The RNC has a LONG history of segregation and racial bigotry. Pandering Micheal Steele is NOT going to change that despicable history. It will take more than Micheal Steele that's for sure.

The RNC just proved they continue to be the party of "exclusion and racial sentiments" . Shameful.

How delusional can WHITE AMERICA be?
