Limbaugh fires back at Steele

Limbaugh criticized RNC Chairman Michael Steele for his recent comments.
Limbaugh criticized RNC Chairman Michael Steele for his recent comments.

(CNN) – Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh fired back at Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele Monday, suggesting on his radio show the GOP leader appears to be supporting President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

"Why do you claim to lead the Republican Party when you seem obsessed with seeing to it President Obama succeeds?" Limbaugh addressed Steele.

"I frankly am stunned that the chairman of the Republican National Committee endorses such an agenda. I have to conclude that he does because he attacks me for wanting it to fail," said Limbaugh.

Late last week, Steele told CNN's D.L. Hughley that Limbaugh is an "entertainer" whose comments are "ugly."

Also on his radio program Monday, Limbaugh said Steele is being used by the "liberal media."

"Michael Steele has been around long enough to know that the liberal media will use him by twisting what I say or what others say," he said. "He took the bait, he bit down hard on the bait, he launched an attack on me, even though the premise of what was said to him was false."

RUSH LIMBAUGH IS A ALCOHOLIC POLITICAL MORON. HE FORGETS THE ECONOMIC FAILURES OF ALL THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTS OF THE LAST CENTURY EXCEPT FOR REAGAN WHO HAD ONE OF THE HIGHEST GROWTH OF GOVERNMENT OF ANY PRESIDENT. CLINTON INHERITED THE BIGGEST DEFICIT IN HISTORY AT THAT TIME AND EIGHT YEARS LATER LEFT THE BIGGEST SURPLUS IN HISTORY. THATS WHAT SUCCESS IS.

Rush Limbaugh is Anti-American. He is anti-freedom, anti-thought, anti-cooperation. He divides the country and would willingly do so. I applaud Steele for calling Rush what he is.

Who really cares what Rush says.

He is an idiot, It makes me happy to him really stir it up for the Republican's.

I am a Democrat, but if the Republican's want to make any input with the American peiople they need to distance themselves from Rush.

LOL, Limbaugh confesses he's only an entertainer and has no room to object to stating "ugly" day-after-day.

    Ugly is as ugly does.

We all await for Steele's 'honesty and ethics' in pointing at POX NEWS who made it known via their own filed court documents in Florida (in labor dispute) stating FOX has the right built into Freedom of Speech to LIE TO THEIR VIEWERS . . .of course that occured during GW's mis-administration of our country.

Or let's wait with bated breath for Steele to point to Falafel O'Reilly's own confession on late night talk show that he "is only an actor" and wimpered that he shouldn't be so hated and despised since he's only a paid actor on a network that is registered as ENTERTAINMENT.

Rush has a entertainment radio show. he is in the lead of the GOP candidates. So far no GOP member has caught on how silly this sounds?

oh by the way, I have always wanted to know, is Rush show on liberal media? or is it just regular media?

    Rush,

Why don't you just go ahead and say the N-word (you know you want to)?

Say it loudly and proudly! Your ratings will blow up... off the charts... That will make you the undisputed leader and voice of the GOP. You are the man!

Umm... I'm being facetious about that, but I am serious about you spouting off something stupid that shuts you up once and for all.

Liberal media, liberal media! Oh, I can't stand to have anyone disagree with me! I'm so persecuted! Wah wah wah!

Just exactly how do people who care what Limbaugh thinks rationalize his drug addiction? Just another celebrity with personal demons? Just another poor, misunderstood drug-addled nincompoop? Oh, poor Rush! He's so sensitive, he's so codependent! Poor little baby!

Quick, world! Everyone start thinking and acting and talking like Rush before he just withers away from all the pressure of living in a world that isn't exactly the way he thinks it should be!

    Wah wah wah!

Mr. Limbaugh – Obama won the November 2008 election via popular vote and electoral college vote. Get over it and accept it. And quite frankly, your comment about your hoping Obama fails is just the attitude that helps lead to the demise of our great country. The comment that I have to make is taken from Rodney King, who almost exactly 18 years ago said, "Can we all get along?"

Yes, Rush is ONLY an entertainer whose yaky-yak-yak is hatefilled. Steele, on the other hand, is doing what IS right and is working FOR the people, trying to iron things out and move America forward. He is a smart man and it is stupid to even have to be in a conversation about Rush at all! If Rush wants to talk politics, he should run for office and see just exactly how many people WILL NOT vote for him...

limbaugh is just an old fool !!!
he should shut up and not feel like he has to defend his "fail" comments if he's so sure of himself
what an empty vessel, trying to grab whatever media spotlight he can get.

Don't we all want what's best for our people and our country? It seems like we should be working together to fix this horrible situation and not hoping that we fail. Shame on Rush Limbaugh. He's an evil evil man.

Typical radical hypocrite response from Limbaugh the reason I stopped listening to his show years ago and quit the Republican party afterward. They will attack their young in their greedy pursuit of everything they can get their hands upon. Limbaugh IS an entertainer not a party spokesman so Steele is correct and is open to supporting our nation not merely his own interests. Limbaugh's attacks are merely to protect his income by attacking anything which will advance his agenda. Can we say Bull Moose party redux AKA DittoHeads???

Ok...I used to be a huge fan of Limbaugh's....but now I am tending to agree with Michael Steele! Limbaugh has become nothing more than an irrational hate monger who clings in desperation to an old school train of thought that has become obsolete in today's society. He seems more like an angry dinosaur looking at extinction rather than a radio personality with an actual legitimate point of view.

I'd agree with Steele. Rush is simply an "entertainer" whose comments were indeed "ugly." As much as I did not like Bush, I never wanted him to fail. That just means we all fail. How does that do anyone any good at all?

All this from the GOP's own version of Jabba the Hut. He is incredible. He wants Obama to fail. Well, if Obama's policies fail, the whole country fails. Is that what this idiot wants? Calling Limbaugh an entertainer falsely elevates his status; however, "ugly" fits.

How many people actually listen to Limbaugh? I guarantee that if the media didn't report on every word that he said, very few people would pay attention to him let alone even know what comes out of his mouth.

    Hey Rush...

You attack, attack and attack and when someone brings it to you.. you cry that you are the victim. Grow up. You are a blow hard that likes to hear himself talk and really your act is out of style. I find it funny that the Republican party would line up behind you. BTW...bought any perscription drugs illegally lately??
