(CNN) – Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh fired back at Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele Monday, suggesting on his radio show the GOP leader appears to be supporting President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
"Why do you claim to lead the Republican Party when you seem obsessed with seeing to it President Obama succeeds?" Limbaugh addressed Steele.
"I frankly am stunned that the chairman of the Republican National Committee endorses such an agenda. I have to conclude that he does because he attacks me for wanting it to fail," said Limbaugh.
Late last week, Steele told CNN's D.L. Hughley that Limbaugh is an "entertainer" whose comments are "ugly."
Also on his radio program Monday, Limbaugh said Steele is being used by the "liberal media."
"Michael Steele has been around long enough to know that the liberal media will use him by twisting what I say or what others say," he said. "He took the bait, he bit down hard on the bait, he launched an attack on me, even though the premise of what was said to him was false."

Rush Limbaugh is neither a politician nor an entertainer. He's an irresponsible lout who maintains his ratings by catering to the lowest common denominator in this country; and his messages of hatred and intolerance, especially these days, are beyond reason. He and his friends (Hannity, Coulter, Beck, etc.) are the best reason I can think of for reintroducing the Fairness Doctrine in broadcasting. Even the Ku Klux Klan is entitled to speak its reprehensible views, but that doesn't mean that we should let them broadcast them without an opposing response.

I am a republican and conservative, and Rush Limbaugh does not speak for me. I support Michael Steele as do other conservatives I know.
The really interesting part is going to be seeing which side the elected officials line up on. This could be a REALLY ugly fight if it breaks out of control like it's starting to.

Wow now were attacking Limbaugh for speaking the truth. At least the news media finally covered a true Republican. And speaking of a hippocrate, what about Ted Kennedy. The Democrats think he is the second coming of Christ. Yet, he can go and murder someone, have a memory lapse and yet he is being praised for standing up for what he believes in. Why doesn't the news media get Ted to tell the truth once in his life?
