Limbaugh fires back at Steele

Limbaugh criticized RNC Chairman Michael Steele for his recent comments.
Limbaugh criticized RNC Chairman Michael Steele for his recent comments.

(CNN) – Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh fired back at Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele Monday, suggesting on his radio show the GOP leader appears to be supporting President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

"Why do you claim to lead the Republican Party when you seem obsessed with seeing to it President Obama succeeds?" Limbaugh addressed Steele.

"I frankly am stunned that the chairman of the Republican National Committee endorses such an agenda. I have to conclude that he does because he attacks me for wanting it to fail," said Limbaugh.

Late last week, Steele told CNN's D.L. Hughley that Limbaugh is an "entertainer" whose comments are "ugly."

Also on his radio program Monday, Limbaugh said Steele is being used by the "liberal media."

"Michael Steele has been around long enough to know that the liberal media will use him by twisting what I say or what others say," he said. "He took the bait, he bit down hard on the bait, he launched an attack on me, even though the premise of what was said to him was false."

Republican Party will recieve 25% of vote in the next elections. Let everyone mark this projection. This is certain to happen if they continue the part they are going. This country is in dear need of leader who should partrotically work to fine solutions to our numerious problems and not politics as usual. This country found a leader and they want everyone to support him to achieve a greater hight for this nation.

Awwww, it's ON! The OxyContin poster child has responded! Come on Mr. Steele, put the bloated putz in his place!

Art@2:54.....I agree with you but just wait until all the posts from the right wingers come flowing in supporting Rush. They all seem to suffer from this delusion that Obama will turn us into Venezuela. They all seem to forget that we have supported corporate socialism for years. That the profits are privatized, but the risk is communal.
That it is OK to spend billions and billions to support Halliburton and their evil but not to take care of its own citizens. Of course not, that is socialism. Let them take care of themselves.

There will be no more Republican dominance..ever again.

Rush does not speak for the entire Republican party. He speaks for the drooling "ditto-heads" who are too ignorant to put a sentence together. I'm sure there are some thoughtful, intelligent Republicans who can voice their own ideas. I don't KNOW any, but I'm sure they're out there.

Here we are after years of GOP policies. Failure. Now, this big-mouthed, drug-sucking, pompous, horses behind wants us to fail more!?!?

I thought that the country came first, and the party second. Am I wrong here?

Isn't what's good for the country ultimately good for any political party?

    Limbaugh, you're disgusting!

    Rush is right...again!

May Steele's reign as head of the GOP be the shortest on record. We can't afford to have any more liberal appeaseniks within the GOP camp.

Limbaugh is sad for wanting the country to fail. Limbaugh is an entertainer for the Republicans. That is it! He really has gone to far and I know he does not speak for the majority of Republicans who want the country to succeed even tho they may disagree on issues. Limbaugh wants to divide poeple and stir things up. SAD.

Limbaugh looks terrible!! I guess that what happens to a person when they become so full of anger and bitterness...

btw...the Repubs should distance themselves immediately because it looks like a civil war inside the GOP is brewing...led by Rush.

    Dumb old rush.......

If the GOP were smart they'd listen to Steele......

Note if Obama succeeds then AMERICA succeeds.....

Rush would rather seem America go down the the tubes just so he can feel good about his own party.

This is getting to be a bit ridiculous. I have never before seen or heard of such a gathering of anti-American, anti-Christ, and racist heard of beings as the cabinet of Barack Obama has gathered for himself. They are truly killing our nation and i pray that something will bring them to their senses before it is to late. At this rate, we are not going to make it for four years. Good job libs, democrats, and dudes that walk around holding your pants up.

The Republican Party was hijacked by corporate raiders both national and international. They are after the quick cash in using setups and don't have the best interests of the US in mind. The party needs to purge itself of that connection and infection, and Limbaugh is not part of the correction he's part of the old problem. There is nothing the old guard would like more than further dumbing down of the leading reps, those who are puppets for the elite wing. But I think the US is onto that and the steady parade of STUPIDITY from even before Dan Quayle, through George W, Palin and now Limbaugh, is a failed charade, a Ponzi scheme and there's going to be a purge. Get ready for a Republican civil war. Long overdue! Meanwhile, true talent and intelligence, serving the real US, not the corporate raiders, is in charge and will be without a challenge for several more years obviously.

"Why do you claim to lead the Republican Party when you seem obsessed with seeing to it President Obama succeeds?" Limbaugh addressed Steele.

Question to Limbach: If Obama succeeds, who is he hurting? If Obama succeeds, who is he helping? Mr. Limbach - you are not an American. You do not want the U.S. to progress. You are only a self-centered individual who likes to hear himself talk.

Rush has always played to the media. If he could get his name in front of you, he feels good. How people can take the trash he puts out is beyond belief. How anyone who can wish the President of the United States to fail does not deserve the public confidence. It'sone thing to be outspoken and disagree; it's another to wish your country to fail.
I don't agree with all that President Obama is doing at the present. Frankly, I don't see much of use coming from the Republican side either. Since, President Obama is in the leading position, I hope his choices are right and I will support them all I can.
Let's take it up in the next election and for now do what we can to move things in a positive direction as Americans.
