Limbaugh fires back at Steele

Limbaugh criticized RNC Chairman Michael Steele for his recent comments.

(CNN) – Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh fired back at Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele Monday, suggesting on his radio show the GOP leader appears to be supporting President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

"Why do you claim to lead the Republican Party when you seem obsessed with seeing to it President Obama succeeds?" Limbaugh addressed Steele.

"I frankly am stunned that the chairman of the Republican National Committee endorses such an agenda. I have to conclude that he does because he attacks me for wanting it to fail," said Limbaugh.

Late last week, Steele told CNN's D.L. Hughley that Limbaugh is an "entertainer" whose comments are "ugly."

Also on his radio program Monday, Limbaugh said Steele is being used by the "liberal media."

"Michael Steele has been around long enough to know that the liberal media will use him by twisting what I say or what others say," he said. "He took the bait, he bit down hard on the bait, he launched an attack on me, even though the premise of what was said to him was false."

If you wanted to see how much of a coward Rush is you need look no further than to the fact that he has never......NEVER run for any elected office. Steele should be commended for calling Rush exactly what he is: an entertainer! Although, I would love to see Rush run for office because it would be his official undoing. Please Rush! Please run for office! While you're at it, you should convince Sean Hannity to run as well! That would just be priceless!

I can't understand how anyone would take this extremist seriously, and it is astounding how many people listen to him, although I listen to his show occasionally just to hear his outrageous comments. What's worse, is some of his listeners BELIEVE what he is saying! It's sad that he 'represents' the conservative voice with his demeaning and racist comments, especially during the 08 election. He is a sad, angry, and hostile man.

The real issue is that the Republican promise that all would profit from private enterprise has failed. The average worker has gained little or nothing from economic growth since 1980 while top corporate executives and top investors have made most of the gains. This is why Obama was elected while Republicans can only look for scapegoats.

I agree the only thing Rush wants for this country is what is good for Rush. Rush is not a public servant. Rush is not an elected representitive of the citizens of the USA. Rush is looking to add to his ratings and that's it. More money for Rush that is what he does. He is an entertainer making a living by dividing his Country and his own party (GOP). Rush please be quiet, this Nation is in Crisis and needs people with contructive ideas that will help. And there are people in the GOP who can help, but you are making it very difficult.

I don't know what is more fascinating.

The fact that Limbaugh actually carries this much power, or the fear of moderates and pragmatic conservatives to defend Steele and tell Limbaugh to shut-up?

The GOP lost the last election because of record turnout and voting disparity among blacks, Latinos and younger voters.

Steele knows this. Limbaugh is oblivous to it.

Yet members of the party seem more concerned about facing a primary that actually rebuildnig the party.

Works for me! I'm a Democrat.

  13. Put a lipstick on a pig, it's Limbaugh!

Limbaugh should definitely stick to the airwaves, the camera adds 50 pounds to his rosy cheeks.

If he wants to debate policy go talk with Howard Stearn.
