(CNN) – Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh fired back at Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele Monday, suggesting on his radio show the GOP leader appears to be supporting President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
"Why do you claim to lead the Republican Party when you seem obsessed with seeing to it President Obama succeeds?" Limbaugh addressed Steele.
"I frankly am stunned that the chairman of the Republican National Committee endorses such an agenda. I have to conclude that he does because he attacks me for wanting it to fail," said Limbaugh.
Late last week, Steele told CNN's D.L. Hughley that Limbaugh is an "entertainer" whose comments are "ugly."
Also on his radio program Monday, Limbaugh said Steele is being used by the "liberal media."
"Michael Steele has been around long enough to know that the liberal media will use him by twisting what I say or what others say," he said. "He took the bait, he bit down hard on the bait, he launched an attack on me, even though the premise of what was said to him was false."

I think OLD RUSH is about ready to explode. Al he needs is a little more of what he is already so full of. I'm not even a Republican and I can see how destructive he is being to the party. At the rate he is going, Democrats could get Mickey Mouse elected to the senate in 2010 if they wanted to.
Wow so that fat bulbous limbaugh can critisize anybody and everybody but if anyone critisizes him all h$ll breaks loose. So why was'nt limbaugh busted for illegal purchasing of oxycontin and can he still be tried for it, he broke the law and no charges were pressed(under bush) , can charges be drawn now, sure would like to see that fat f@ck goto jail.
Now we are about to find out who the leader really is. Will Steele get ran out on a rail? Of course he will. Let's see if this really is the Party of inclusion?
This is interesting, I would love to see Rush and Michael go at it over control of the GOP.
If the Republican Party had half a brain it would shut Rush and Anne Coulter the heck up. They make you all look like ignorant bigotted fools.
They mock wounded veterans (see what Coulter says about Max Cleland) They mock 9/11 victims, they mock the poor and the hungry. They lie constantly and get away with it because noone bothers to check the "facts" they spew.
The hate and frenzy they spread will be the downfall of this country, as it has been for the last 8 years.
If the republicans want to get there party back they shouldn't listen to Rush. He is a divider and not a uniter. If we could capture the hot air Rush Limbaugh releases on his radio show we could solve part of the energy problem.
GO RUSH. Obama is a socialist and I hope his agenda fails in Congress and we get something that has a possibility of sucess. I don't want to see my kids and grandkids paying for something that won't work.
Goodness! The Republican Party, regardless of who's leading it, seems determined to self destruct! They can't decide who to follow (Limbaugh? Steele?), who to woo (rappers in the hood? Sam's club shoppers?), who to blame (Obama? Bush?), who to praise (don't hear much praise...). Sad.

I wish Rush would take his enormous head and ride off into the sunset. It looks like maybe Rush's neck needs its own stimulus package. The only thing better for Dems is if Rush is running the GOP is if Anne Coulter is seen as the party's number two. These are the Dark Ages for the GOP. Where did they go wrong? No need to answer; that was rhetorical?

Give conservative talk radio host and "entertainer" Rush Limbaugh his kudos. No one can excite the Republican base like Limbaugh. But that is all Rush can do and that is to energize the GOP base.
Michael Steele is right. What the GOP now needs is to expand beyond the base to take back Moderates and Independent won by President Obama and Congressional Democrats. So Rush needs to chill out or risk marginalizing the Republican Party.
Rush made some great points. Mr. Steele DOES hope Obama fails otherwise no Republican will win in 2010 and 2012.
The only difference is Rush had the guts to speak up for what most Republicans, conservatives and a lot of Democrats were too afraid to say.
On behalf of those who were fooled by Obama-mania, THANK YOU RUSH!!!

Rush Limbaugh seems to be a very angry person whose hateful comments do nothing to uplift, inspire or inform the viewer. Why do CNN and the other media give this man so much coverage? The President does not need Rush Limbaugh approval to govern. He won, remember. Let Mr. Limbaugh spew out all the hate he can muster. You do not have to give him all day coverage. Please give those of us who are not impressed by Mr. Limbaugh's rantings a break.

This is what you get when you make Limbaugh and Coulter your keynote speakers at CPAC. Duh! Nothing but ego, hyperbole, division, derision, and hate. Hopefully this time the circular firing squad will take down all GOP blowhards and leave only the real world policy makers to lead to them out of the political wilderness. The repeated and false claims and rhetoric at CPAC was absurd.

IF McCain were president and a talk show host said such Un Patrioric things, And the hopes that his plans failed so he can say I Told U So, He would be crucified, the only reason Rush is still around and still talking is because most republicans are Closet Racist, They want to see our Country fail to so they can say I told You So. IF Republicans get a hold of that White House for another full term, Kiss the America of the past GOODBYE, no social services, Just the Rich and Poor. no inbetween, Just have's and Have nots and The Majority will be ruled by a small group of politicains.
