Palin foe gets administration job

Palin was the target of an investigation, led by Elton.

(CNN) – Alaska State Sen. Kim Elton, one of the leading officials to pursue an investigation of Gov. Sarah Palin during the heat of the presidential campaign, has taken a high-level job in the Interior Department.

Palin reacted in a short statement Monday, the day Elton announced his move to Washington.

“Senator Elton pledged his allegiance to President Obama last summer,” said the governor. “We wish him well as he moves on and hope that he uses this job for Alaska’s benefit.”

Palin was the target of an official investigation last year over charges she improperly dismissed a public safety commissioner who refused to fire her sister’s ex-husband, a state trooper. Elton led the legislative investigation of the incident.

The report, released in October, said Palin had the authority to fire the public safety commissioner, and the governor said it cleared her of wrongdoing. But the report also said Palin had abused her power as governor, and had violated state ethics law.

Elton will serve as Director of Alaska Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior.

UN aware: Just remember that Obama has no moral center or code of ethics. He is a postmodern relativist who believes that concepts such as right and wrong, goodness and badness, or truth and falsehood are not absolute but change from culture to culture and situation to situation.

    And you deduced this how??????

Quit reading Ayn Rand, especially if you don't understand it.

If you can't tell when you're being lied to, and conversely when you're NOT being lied to your judgement is beyond repair.

Political payback from the former Chicago senator. What else? You people on the left make me irrationally angry. You're so hung up on Obama you can't see the danger we're in. You're the ones who need to shut up or leave.

    Congratulations to Senator Elton!

Palin is upset the good Senator did not pledge his alligiance to her.

He is one of the smart ones who can see right through her smoke and mirrors and knows she is not providing the clear and transparent government she promised us during her bid for governor.

Yes, you wait and see, we will be hearing more about Palin and it is not going to be pretty folks. The truth is slowly starting to emerge.

Awesome. Let him go straight to DC, where he will fit right in perfectly. Gov Palin is probably very happy he is gone. Can't see that he ever did any good for Alaska anyway.

"Palin 2012, baby!! Everyone else are mindless peeps, who can't think for themselves!"

i find it quite amusing that many people on the right who criticized democrats for deifying obama have not qualms about turning around 5 seconds later and deifying palin.

i also find it quite amusing that those who voted obama are nothing but sheep, yet the droves who flocked to palin's side without asking any questions are independent thinkers.

Sheesh. She never ceases to amaze. The guy is going to do what is best for the nation, not the United States of Alaska. Putz.

Funny how the administration of "change" has been doing nothing more than carrying on all the tired old traditions of backbiting and putting their party's wants ahead of the nation's needs.

2012 can't get here fast enough to push these vindictive clowns out of office.

I wonder if the Senator can also see Russia from her house. Plus, when ol' Putin rears his evil head, we have another Alaskan making sure he's not carrying an H-bomb to drop on Centralia, Washington.

You all know that Palin is fuming right now. I know people here are going to say it's mean or wrong or cruel that Obama chose someone over Palin to be in charge of Alaskan affairs. Personally, I think it's well deserved. Palin was not just someone running against Obama. She was McCain's attack dog.. inciting hate all over the country, while McCain tried to play the nice guy.

Palin deserves everything she gets as a result. With the exception of the hard right wing.. everyone else sees that.. and Palin won't be around much longer.

I think she should have wished him good riddance and don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. I loved the liberal ferver and witch hunt the Libs tried with "troopergate" but turned a blind eye to the David Ayers connection to their Sheppard.

Leave Governor Palin alone; at least she had enough sense to stay away from that pathetic, riot inciting CPAC event lead by Porky Pig last weekend.

I really don't think she cares for Limbaugh.

Wait history revisionsts! Put down that whiteout and stop erasing (tourture) tapes!

A simple trip down (recent) memory lane will reveal to us that this investigation was spear headed by mostly republicans. This is what happens when your party is so corrupt that the only way you can make a positive name for yourself come election time is to throw one of your (alleged) collegues under the "Shame on you" bus.

Paybacks a Palin, ain't it Sarah.

Wow! Talkabout re-writting history! The investigation wasgoing on weeks before she was tapped by McCain ashis running mate. And it was a bi-partisonl group consisting of 5 Republicans and 3 Democrats. Kim was the Minority leader, not the leaderof the investigaion. And yet the press is constantly accused of being liberal biased. They expect that we can't remeber events of six months ago.

    And?

I honestly don't know how Sarah Palin is in politics. Why would anyone vote for someone as unintelligent as she is? Every interview, the debate, everything. She's yesterday's news. Why is she even being talked about?

Has she learned to speak good English? Has she learned to organize her thoughts? Has she learned to give a good interview? Has she learned how to answer questions so she doesn't come off looking like a complete idiot?

    No?

Then why is she still in the news?
