WASHINGTON (CNN) - Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said Tuesday he has spoken with Rush Limbaugh about his comments regarding the conservative radio talk show host.
"We had a nice conversation last night," Steele said in a statement sent to CNN. "We are all good."
RNC officials described the call as private and did not elaborate on the details of the conversation between the two men.

Rush doesn't speak for the GOP, yet every time, they run back apologizing to him.

Steele did not have to call Rush. Rush knows he is the boss of the Republican Party.

Apparently, when Michael Steele was appointed Chairman of the RNC, he took it seriously. He actually thought that he was the leader of the GOP. He didn't realize that he was just a token.
Steele made the mistake of publicly questioning the role of Rush Limbaugh as the Boss of Bosses of the Party.

Steele has been castigated and publicly humiliated.
Michael Steele now knows his place in the Republican heirarchy.

It is amazing the the RNC and Rush fell right into the trap that the Democrats are setting them up for. By fighting amongst themselves and by putting a highly polarizing figure like Limbaugh at the masthead of the party they are playing right into the strategy of the DNC. The republicans used to be better at this political stuff.
Is Rush really that powerful. Steele, you didn't have to fight with him but you could have at least man up to Rush.
