Limbaugh vs. President Obama

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh challenged President Obama to a verbal showdown Wednesday.

(CNN) - Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh challenged President Obama to a verbal showdown Wednesday, calling on him to visit his talk show for an "intelligent, open discussion" on issues like health care and taxes.

"If you can win at this, then come here and beat me at my own game, and get rid of me once and for all, and show all the people of America that I am wrong," said Limbaugh. "If you take me out, if you can wipe me out in a debate and prove to the rest of America that what I say is senseless and wrong, do you realize you will own the United States of America?"

Limbaugh also accused the White House of orchestrating an attack on him, telling his listeners that the Obama team is demonizing the radio host since Bush left office. He said the effort was being spearheaded by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who Limbaugh refers to as the "power behind the throne."

"Don't let his effeminate nature and his ballerina past mislead you on this. He may look effeminate (he was a ballerina at one time) but he has the feral instincts of a female rat defending its young," Limbaugh said.

"I'm calling. I'm ready. I'll do everything I can to facilitate it. You're a very courageous man, Mr. President. I am, after all, just The Last Man Standing," Limbaugh said.

In January, Limbaugh called on the president to sign on to his “bi-partisan” stimulus plan, which would increase government spending for roughly half the country, and cut taxes for the other half.

Why is CNN, MSNBC, and other "reputable" news networks (heck I'll even say Fox) should allow this man to express his opinion, but stop giving him airtime. We have an economic crisis of monstrous proportions, and we do not have time to give our attention to entertainment figures. People like Rush, Ann Coulter, and other fringe people from the right and left are only given life by a media that makes the news instead of reporting it.

Personally, I hope Rush and Ann Coulter remain the biggest mouth pieces for the GOP. Hoping that Obama fails is hoping the nation fails, and that is anti-American at its worst!

NO isn't an alternative, and the party of NO doesn't even see how irrelevant they are making themselves. Maybe another two or three losing election cycles, and the question will be – what is a GOP?

Only thing bigger than his mouth is his ego – "You want a piece of me, Obama – bring it on!" He's a blowhard, schoolyard ignorant bully who keeps people in line with power that doesn't really even exist, except in his own mind.

Obama on "Rush Limbaugh" comedy hour? I don't think so -

lol. Why would Obama bother with this loud mouth drug addict? Why would he have to "beat him at his own game"? Obama is so much a better person than Limbaugh that Limbaugh is irrelevant and Obama would be incredibly foolish to lower himself to Limbaugh's level.

And I imagine that Obama knows that and thinks this is incredibly funny.

There's only so much room for conservatives. The bigger Rush gets, the less oxygen there is for conservative politicians. We need to get Rush bigger, bigger, bigger, pop!

Absolutely not. The President of the United States of America does not have time to deal with this nonsense. Rush may not have real work to do but our President certainly does.

Obama would have too much to lose in a debate. I mean, come on! The guy who runs up the budget deficit to all-time record levels one day and hosts a "fiscal constraint" summit at the White House the next day??? Unreal.

Rush Limbaugh is a self-serving, attention seeking idiot. He represents much of what is wrong with the Reupblican party right now and why they lost so much power recently.

Sounds to me like all the liberals on here are scared. If Rush is as much of a whatever that you have written, I would encourage you to call the White House and beg your leader to end the debate once and for all. Unless, of course, you are trembling at the thought of the real outcome. Call the White House and let's find out.

It's amazing how the Republican Party has fallen ....hopefully, never to rise again. With Rush spouting off, it won't.

Rush can only run his mouth

Is Rush NUTS? His blaming Carville, Begala & Emmanuel for this supposed "conspiracy" shows he's realized he dug a huge hole for himself and made a fool of himself.........I'd pay my last dime to see Carville, Begala and Roland Martin debate him and they'd eat him up......maybe then we'd get some peace from that windbag.
Rush SELF-PROCLAIMED himself as the leader of the GOP in a thousand ways........and he seems to be an expert at twisting his own words whenever it's convenient to strike at the Democratic supporters.
Same goes for Anne Coulter.....she and Rush are a good pair or hot-air.
