Limbaugh vs. President Obama

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh challenged President Obama to a verbal showdown Wednesday.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh challenged President Obama to a verbal showdown Wednesday.

(CNN) - Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh challenged President Obama to a verbal showdown Wednesday, calling on him to visit his talk show for an "intelligent, open discussion" on issues like health care and taxes.

"If you can win at this, then come here and beat me at my own game, and get rid of me once and for all, and show all the people of America that I am wrong," said Limbaugh. "If you take me out, if you can wipe me out in a debate and prove to the rest of America that what I say is senseless and wrong, do you realize you will own the United States of America?"

Limbaugh also accused the White House of orchestrating an attack on him, telling his listeners that the Obama team is demonizing the radio host since Bush left office. He said the effort was being spearheaded by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who Limbaugh refers to as the "power behind the throne."

"Don't let his effeminate nature and his ballerina past mislead you on this. He may look effeminate (he was a ballerina at one time) but he has the feral instincts of a female rat defending its young," Limbaugh said.

"I'm calling. I'm ready. I'll do everything I can to facilitate it. You're a very courageous man, Mr. President. I am, after all, just The Last Man Standing," Limbaugh said.

In January, Limbaugh called on the president to sign on to his “bi-partisan” stimulus plan, which would increase government spending for roughly half the country, and cut taxes for the other half.

Why would President Obama waste his valuable time on such a trivial and meaningless publicity stunt? Obama is done campaigning, He won the election and he has a lot more important matters to attend to.

The only reason he's even doing this is so he can spend the next several days spewing his hate and saying that Obama is afraid of him. He's such a joke.

Antisnob, 4:29 pm – Let's see, you're comparing an honest president, with integrity (oh, and by the way, a very large percentage of us at least 'tried' cocaine back then) to a pompous windbag who used his cleaning lady to procure prescription painkillers?!!!

This is no different than Dems wanting Bush to fail in Iraq. I don't want BHO to fail, I want his policy of socialism to fail.

OK Rush, but are you sure you want to do it?

Remember the Secret Service sweeps every location the President visits; they even bring the DOGS that sniff everything, for bombs, drugs, EVERYTHING Rush.

Unless you can clear the office of all the illegally prescribed drugs (ie, Oxycodin, vicodin, viagra and other little party pills you bring back from the Islands), I personally would think again about it.

Then again the fact that he will make you look like a anti-American fool that can only criticize without bringing anything to the table should also make you think twice about it.

We know that Rush is illiterate, but this is exceptionally illiterate.

"He" could not have been a ballerina, because a ballerina is, by defin ition, female. He is either a ballet dancer, or a danseur or possibly, but not commonly, a ballerino. English is a very difficult language, especially when it is in Italian or French.

Rush is the crazed lonely man in the wilderness yelling into the wind. Everyone should ignore him and hope that he would just fade away leaving sweet silence.

How is this possible in America?? How has this idiot envisaged the intelligent Obama to stoop to his level and participate in his phony 'radio' discussion with him?? So ashamed for my neighbours south of the border!

Rush has truly lost it now. Man, he sounds like Osama Binladin on a soap-box for his views! If I were Obama, I would not debate him. Why would I debate a man that calls someone "effeminate" and bring up (I'm not sure its true or not) the ballerina comment–I mean, what does this have to do with the price of beans? Or the economy or anything for that matter! Rant, rant, rant-he needs to fez up and know that Bush left us quite a mess to clean up! If I were Obama, I would not, under any circumstances, scoot down to the level of such an ignorant man!

Rush does not seem to like a democratic majority and a democratic White House. I dont blame him...most of the democrats didnt like Bush and his Republican congress.

The challenge is that Rush seems to have taken it very personally and seems emotionally hurt.

May God give him strength to live peacefully under democratic rule!!

"Intelligent"? Does that mean Rush isn't showing up?

Don't waste your time on this windbag, Mr. President. Does Rush not realize Barack *probably* has more important matters to attend to right now?

Obama is too afraid to meet the challenge. He's not willing to "debate" unless he's got the deck stacked in his favor, with his media sycophants as "moderators".

He's much more comfortable just attacking, and having his sheep call anyone who disagrees with him "racist".

Rush Limbaugh is an idiot and a TRAITOR, just like Ann Coulter is. Why would an intelligent man like President Obama give this nut case any credibility? Limbaugh is nothing but a hate filled, lying, racist who believes his way of thinking is the only way. Well WRONG AGAIN. Those of you who follow this jerk and his hate filled speeches shouldn't even be allowed to open your mouths in public let alone oh the radio. It's people like you who keep hatred alive in this country. Go find an islalnd somewhere and start your own country with all your own crazy ideas since you don't want to be a part of America. Finally, put us all out of our misery when we hear either of you speak and just SHUT UP AND GO AWAY.

Hah! An "intelligent, open discussion" with Rush Limbaugh? IMPOSSIBLE! The president should be talking with people who matter and not that drug addict blowhard.

What absolute rubbish. I hope President Obama politely declines the request. While the Republican Party may feel they must kowtow to this caricature of an American, the rest of us do not, and we do not want to see our President doing so.

The president has much better things to spend his time on than debating with this overblown windbag. But ya, Rush. Keep it up. Another day, another nail in the coffin of the GOP.
