(CNN) -- Long gone are the days where comic books feature images of men in tights and women glorifying the female form. Bluewater Productions comics welcomes the pantsuit, and toned arms.
In a new series designed to examine influential women who are “making and shaping modern history,” Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are the first political power players immortalized in the comic book production house’s new Female Force series. The read follows the life of the two Washington femme fatales - in graphic novel form, of course.
First lady Michelle Obama and Caroline Kennedy are the upcoming women to be featured in the series. The covers depict Michelle Obama sporting a sleeveless number amidst a White House backdrop, and Caroline Kennedy sharing the spotlight with her father, President John F. Kennedy.
Watch: Clinton, Palin comic books
“These are very strong independent women that people want to know more about, and what better to teach younger kids about these role models than through comic books,” says Bluewater Productions Vice President Jason Shultz.
The graphic novels have already proven popular. Sarah Palin’s issue has sold out before its March 11 release date and is running a second printing.
But the Female Force series doesn’t limit itself to politics. Royal humanitarian and activist Princess Diana and media superstars Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters are set to grace covers.

I think Pelosi should be in there. She seems to be a powerhouse in the WH these days. Not sure why Kennedy is in there, just my thought.
Michelle Obama is not a politician in anyone's eye but CNN's.
Allegedly this comic book doesn't set out to glorify the female form, however how is it our current First Lady is the only person in the group showing any skin (is that a mini-skirt she's wearing)? Also, her upper region does seem quite defined in relation to the other women in the shot. It could just be me, but it seems disrespectful to depict the First Lady in that light.
Despite what the back alley cats have to screech about it Sarah Palin IS the epitomy of a strong, independent, yet feminine WOMAN. ANY MAN would be proud to have her as his partner through life. And young girls have a REAL role model in HER. The GREEN is showing and it's not even St. Patricks Day yet.
I bet the animals in Alaska would not rate Palin as a hero. Anybody who shoots animals from helicopters is a coward, not a hero. And she's about as articulate as well...bush! But I guess she's the best the republicans can come up with.
Sarah Palin is not a role model.
Two first ladies and a first daughter. I only see one women who didn't arrive on someone elses coatt ails.
The only hero here is Palin...............the other three are pushing our country into a state of Communism, like that dufus Obama!
Where's Dr. Rice? She a true female superhero.., and one that certainly would NOT have given the Russians an "OverCharge" button to use on us..
Nice to see that women in politics are finally being recognized as something other than whipping posts for their male peers. Of course, I note that despite the large number of female Republican politicians, it took the better-late-than never Democratic females to inspire a graphic novel. i guess we can only acknowledge female politicians only so long as the Democrats can be made to take credit for them.
Hillary, of course, will play the evil, scheming, villain with the insane, cackling, laugh.
How in god's name is Sarah Palin a role model!?
Sure, if you want to teach your daughters that playing the bimbo card gets you places!
Who says you can't marry up?
LOL – What's Sarah Palin's super power?? Abuse of state funds???
I love America.., sooo many relatives.
This is hilarious. 3 out of the 4 "superwomen" only got to where they are because of their husbands or their family name. The only 1 who accomplished anyting on her own is Sarah Palin. Kudos Sarah, the only deserving superwoman in the group!!!

These are very strong independent women that people want to know more about, and what better to teach younger kids about these role models than through comic books*****Palin was agood role model for Bristol RIGHT!!!
Gov. Sarah Palin
I don't understand why delusional woman,Caroline Kennedy belongs
to Superhero.
Palin is not a superhero. She is a nut job.
Hillary already related herself to a comic book character even though she thought she was relating to Rocky Balboa it was really Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Billwinkle the "Loose" Moose
MO does not belong front and center.
Never held office, was an overpaid lawyer, and married lucky.
I don't have any problem with any of these women pictured. They are all strong women. I can't understand why some of you pick on Caroline Kennedy. What did she ever do to you?
Of course it would take a woman to finally achieve bi-partisianship!!
Dont forget the Anne Coulter man doll and comic book.
Dont forget Anne Coulter.haha
