Chuck Norris for president … of Texas

If the State of Texas ever left the Union, Chuck Norris is interested in being president of the newly independent country.
If the State of Texas ever left the Union, Chuck Norris is interested in being president of the newly independent country.

(CNN) – Actor Chuck Norris has his eyes on the presidency, but not the White House. Norris wrote that he would be interested in becoming the president of Texas, if the state were ever to secede from the Union.

“I may run for president of Texas,” Norris wrote Monday in a column posted at WorldNetDaily. “That need may be a reality sooner than we think. If not me, someone someday may again be running for president of the Lone Star state, if the state of the union continues to turn into the enemy of the state.”

The actor claimed “thousands of cell groups will be united around the country in solidarity over the concerns for our nation” and said that if states decide to secede from the union, that Texas would lead the way.

“Anyone who has been around Texas for any length of time knows exactly what we'd do if the going got rough in America,” Norris wrote.

“Let there be no doubt about that.” Norris was a strong supporter of Mike Huckabee’s presidential bid, and he helped to draw attention to the former Arkansas governor’s campaign.

He's a racist. Pure and simple. All of a sudden Texas wants to secede? Go right ahead (Mr. I haven't worked in ages) and go!

Chuck Norris. Wow, am I reading this correct. Chuck Norris. How silly would that be?
Chuck Norris wants to secede from the union. “Anyone who has been around Texas for any length of time knows exactly what we'd do if the going got rough in America,” This has got to be a joke. Chuck Norris? What does Rush say about this? Did he clear this with Rush? Is Rush for this? Let's consult Rush on this one.

Personally, I believe that the U.S. is going to succeed in solving its problems. It's the pathetic people like Norris who are instilling fear of failure.

By all means, Mr. Norris...go right ahead. That way, California's tax dollars won't have to continue to be flushed down the toilet and into Texas.

Whoa! Chuck "jeff Davis" Norris, that type talk may work in a hollywood skit or perhaps a stage play but, In reality, don't humor yourself because this nation will protect the union by any means neccessary. Your do not and I re-emphasize, do not- speak for Texans in any capacity. Let's not forget you are a 2-bit actor and not a good one at that! Stay in your lane!
    Thank You

Chuck Norris should stick to marketing exercise machines, doing faux-acting and endorsing failed evangelical candidates.

I knew it, I knew it. Republicans are only real Americans when things are in their favor. Now they want to break up the Union with armed malitias. Isn't that terrorist activity. Hey stupid Sara Palin, who's paling around with terrorist now. I believe her husband is a part of one of those groups too isn't he?

Hey, a few more years like the last two months and Texas will be seriously looking to undo what they did in 1845.

  12. Really?

Cells?...seceed from the Union? I am a Christian and I do not support these type of views. Just because the entire U.S. does not agree with my choice of faith does not mean we (Christians) try to establish our own Union within a Union.

    Los:
That would have been great if Moore would secede and anyone dumb enough to follow him also.

I'm with you President Chuch Norris. Obama is destroying America by trying to make it a welfare country. I don't want to be on welfare and I think most true Americans would rather work and keep what they have earned.
I say if you get welfare you work for the government in some way to earn your check.

Chuck Norris you are a great actor and I really enjoying watching your movies and TV show. Why don't you run for Congress and let the voters decide. However, I could not vote for you because you are to far to the right for me.

Yeah, the Chuckser has pretty much lost his mind from the sounds of it. Texas isn't an outdated tv show and their people aren't all hicks in trailor parks like it's audience. Chuck is too paranoid for his own good.

What a great American! How is this not calling for domestic terrorism (think Tim McVeigh)? How are you going to lead this secession without spilling American blood, Chuck? It ain't like a bad action flick, little man.
