Former President George W. Bush will discuss some of the defining decisions of his presidency in a new book.

(CNN) – Former President George W. Bush is writing a book focusing on defining decisions he's made in his personal and political life, a publishing house announced Thursday.

The book, tentatively titled "Decision Points," is to be published in fall 2010, according to the Crown Publishing Group. Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The book will focus on about 12 important decisions made by the former president. Topics will include his decision to run for president, his choice of his closest advisers, the September 11 terrorist attacks, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, his response to Hurricane Katrina, the forming of his stem cell research policy, his decision to quit drinking, how he found faith and his relationships with his father, mother, siblings and wife.

He became president, most of you will fade into history as 'no one special'. Mock him all you want but its just anger over your own failures.

Annemie   March 19th, 2009 10:33 am ET

This man has lived a depraved life and portrays a PR world. More of his phantabulising is coming to light. A completely revolting human being right down to his core, wherever that might be.

I would sell your books in garage sale! I am sorry to tell the truth that he is the worst president in history!

A book from Bush, the bafoon, who should be in jail. No thanks.

TT   March 19th, 2009 10:31 am ET

All of you who are so quick to judge should remember that your Obama is not perfect either. He is showing that he is even more incompetent than Bush. You should at least be grateful that Bush has kept this country safe since 9/11. And don't get so angry when Obama gets criticized because you certainly can dish it out, so I hope you can also take it.

shouldn't they call it the Decider Points?

Levelheaded   March 19th, 2009 10:30 am ET

Wow!! I had no idea there were so many geniuses out there who are smarter than George W. Wake-up call folks... the statistics are not in your favor on this one. Bush has far more insight than most of you and your precious Obama. But don't worry, the Obama fairytale will end.... and I don't suspect it will be a "lived happily ever after" ending. Looking forward to Bush's book. Hopefully I haven't been taxed to poverty by the time it comes out because I would really like to buy it.

Island girl   March 19th, 2009 10:30 am ET

If the word "nuclear" pops up in this book, at least we will have a chance to pronouce it ourselves. Ahhhh!

Too True For You   March 19th, 2009 10:30 am ET

The guy had to make some hard decisions, not doubt. And it will be interesting to find out why he made the ones he did, since to the vast majority of the worlds population he consistently made bad ones.

We all speculate it was because he was a nincompoop, or he had evil yes-men influencing his callow ideas of what constitutes policy, or he was under the evil influence of extreme fundamentalist religion.

While I doubt it, this may help us understand why he decided to lead us all down a rat hole, leaving his followers to try and blame everyone else for the outcome.

Joe   March 19th, 2009 10:30 am ET

How to make decisions by Bush???????

I bet he went by this rule, 'maybe we should worry about it tomorrow. In the case of a natural disaster (ie. Katrina) leave it until next year.'

Once the Presidency is over, blame everybody else for their failures, regardless if I appointed them (ie. "heck of a job Brownie") AND say that you got everything accomplished that you wanted without giving true examples (ie "I have no clue what was accomplished).

ConsiderThis, FL   March 19th, 2009 10:25 am ET

Okay America, here's our chance to express our repulsion for the damage that Bush did to our country. DON'T BUY THE BOOK – ZERO SALES! Think about it. He thinks that the American people are dumber than he is by getting someone else to write a book for him that SPINS the truth of his decisions in an attempt to sway historians away from telling future generations that he was the WORST president/person this country has ever known AND to make a few MILLION $$$ off of the dumber American people through the sale of his LIES in the process. What gall. What arrogance. What wickedness. Will we ever be rid of this person?

Omar Baez   March 19th, 2009 10:25 am ET

The title is improper grammar in itself. Decision Points.

Proper english would have been Points of Decision or Decisive Points.

There isn't any possible way they could put the truth in print or Bush/Cheney and the rest of their gang would be put in prison and many of them sentenced to death for their crimes.

It has just come out that only between 12 and 20 of the 750 plus detainees at Gitmo were actually terror suspects and this was known by the Administration.

Why don't people try and understand how they would feel if another Country invaded America and kidnapped them and put them in a prison, tortured them and gave them no hope for a fair trial or release?

That is what America is best known for world wide at the present time.

Repubs scream at Dems for making fun of Bush and Limbaugh and then turn around and will run Obama into the ground. Do you people really think this is the best way to go about discussing our differences? Stop with the name calling and just show some respect.

Joe   March 19th, 2009 10:14 am ET

I can't wait for this to come out.
Finally some truth, but the Bushaholics with Bush Derangement syndrome may take the cliff after reading it.

Every President has all his ugliest faults for the world to see, but the truth will come out slowly over time.

How can a President that frees over 50 million people not get his props?

Tragically we have lost over 4500 of America best in 6 years.
More people die yearly from malaria than have died in this whole war.
More people die yearly from auto accidents in the US than have died in this war.
Billions wasted, have you checked out what Congress has been doing with our hard earned tax dollars lately?

But, I feel safer with them out there protecting us without complaint, without getting wealthy, sacrificing time away from loved ones.

May God bless them all richly in this world and the one to come.

The Decider writes on the BIG decisions he made...
- deciding to build a teeball field next to the White House.
- deciding to end his work day at 5pm. (note: it started after 11am!)
- deciding which tie goes well with his suit jacket.
- deciding which teleprompter he would read from at the next conference.
- deciding which country needed invading next (note: dartboard involved)
- deciding not to read the newspaper, watch television, or listen to congress, the senate, the courts, the people...

This should be interesting, but I still wouldn't spend my hard earned money on it. Basically, the facts speak for themselves. How does one explain away incompetence, failure, unaccountability, and felonious behaviour not seen since Richard M. Nixon? At this point, only his God can be the ultimate arbiter of his Presidency and his life. Please do not look for any sympathy from me, because he will find none. So to write a book to explain or justify his decisions is an attempt to address his critics and gain financially.

People can say that it's not Bush's fault that our economy FULLY SUCKS right now, but he was president for 8 years and our economy is terrible right now! I think he could have worked harder and put money towards many other things than The War in Iraq for example. My brother is in the Marines and just got home from Iraq, and I have joined the Navy, but that does not mean I support the war. I support our SOLDIERS, the brave men and women, not the war... and NOT Bush. So, do us a favor Bush, and just stay in Texas. A book about your "Decisions" is not necessary.

Sharon-Chicago   March 19th, 2009 9:36 am ET

Im happy G.Bush is telling his story and im sure truthfully, unlike our now president who dare ask us (retired, injured, current soldiers) to pay for medical. What kind of president is he, he surely does not support our troops. I guess we all have been mis guided in this election. The truth will unvail as it does each day

Ed Word   March 19th, 2009 9:35 am ET

I hope he has a fresh supply of crayons. Coloring is hard work.

RevC   March 19th, 2009 9:34 am ET

Who's gonna publish this tripe? Regnery?

And Scaife, et al., will prolly buy it buy the truckloads, propelling it to the top of the "bestseller" lists, just like every other apologist, right-wing screed that's defended his awful eight-year train-wreck of an Administration.

No thanks; having lived through it myself, I don't need to read any more of Dubya's lies...

Nelson Colorado Springs Co.   March 19th, 2009 9:33 am ET

Another best seller

Kate   March 19th, 2009 9:33 am ET

A better title might be: 'How I Nearly Brought My Country to Ruin and Still Got a Book Deal'. I've been watching the news, so I won't be reading his delusional view of his job as president. Thanks, but no thanks.

Scott, Tucson   March 19th, 2009 9:33 am ET

By the end of Obama's term, George Bush administation will most likely come across as the good ol' days.

Bill   March 19th, 2009 9:32 am ET

President George W. Bush please the American people do not need a book to remind us of the worst eight years we have ever had. Please sir just go away and say no more.

RB   March 19th, 2009 9:31 am ET

Sounds like a great read from a great president!

Libs are just mad that they could never beat George W. Bush or Dick Cheney, and now they never will!!!!!

- A proud member of the realistic 33% that approve President Bush's performance as president.

S Callahan   March 19th, 2009 9:30 am ET

Will there be a sequel telling tales of the evil within your adminstration?
I'm glad you're putting the book out....a word for the wise...be RELLY truthful....this is God's grace on you to save face.

Mark   March 19th, 2009 9:30 am ET

No. I can't do it. It's far too easy. It would be like shooting fish in a barrel. No sport in it.

Chris   March 19th, 2009 9:29 am ET

while i disagreed with that vast majority of his policies this should at least be an interesting read. He never really did articulate why he did the things he did so this will be quite curious. I'm actually looking forward to this.

It's great for him – because he was so controversial he will sell a LOT of books.

jayindenver   March 19th, 2009 9:29 am ET

Just so long as it's published under "Fiction."

Eleanor   March 19th, 2009 9:28 am ET

I could not be more remotely uninterested in anything this man has to say or his sidekick Cheney either
His ACTIONS spoke volumes
We do not need a book to remind us

Laura Spurrell   March 19th, 2009 9:27 am ET

I think such a book would be hysterical with lies that everyone know the difference off. I wouldn't pay a cent for it.

Jim   March 19th, 2009 9:26 am ET

So many questions:

Will it be large print and small words?

Will it rhyme, like Dr. Suess?

Will it have lots and lots of pictures?

Will it contain many stirring examples of his decidiness and decisionosity?

Will it explain how to emulate his righteous decisionossitude?

By rights, if there was any justice, it should contain only three words:

Worst. President. Ever!

Jack Hughes   March 19th, 2009 9:25 am ET

I'm envisioning 1 page with about 12 bullets.

He's going to need a hell of an editor.

Cooper In Toronto Canada   March 19th, 2009 9:25 am ET

Former President George W. Bush is writing a book? Who is actually writing the content, structure and style of the book? George has not written any that I or the public know of. Maybe Dick Cheney and co. are helping as always...LOL

R   March 19th, 2009 9:25 am ET

Go away! PLEASE, just shut up and go away.

J from Delaware   March 19th, 2009 9:25 am ET

Going to be a very thin book as not much goes on in his brain.....

Vic of New York   March 19th, 2009 9:24 am ET

So there's a conundrum if ever there's been one:

BRAIN-DEAD PRESIDENT WRITES ABOUT 12 IMPORTANT DECISIONS!

Maybe it should be published in the National Enquirer – along with stories of liitle green men!

nancy   March 19th, 2009 9:24 am ET

Bush can write???? I didn't even know he could read. Well, what do you know!!! I think he should make himself scarce; the way he was during his "do nothing" years in the White House.

Ohio Man   March 19th, 2009 9:23 am ET

hmmm wonder if the book will have pictures in it and a lil Dot to Dot section in the back along with a maze to the White house and comes with 3 crayons

AEK   March 19th, 2009 9:23 am ET

I can't deny that my first reaction to this story was, "you have got to be kidding!" But after giving it some thought, it would be interesting to see what the processes were that resulted in the incredibly inadequate response to Hurricane Katrina, the apparently very poorly thought out decision to invade Iraq and deal with it's aftermath, and the war on science his administration waged for eight years. And you know the book will be fairly short, have large print and lots of pictures!

Adam Butkus   March 19th, 2009 9:19 am ET

Yawn... who cares? He should just slip away into oblivion to spare himself further ridicule.

Gracie, MD   March 19th, 2009 9:18 am ET

The book will look like a coloring book. Come one, President Bush was the WORST President in history, are you kidding me? He couldn't even get by making a speech without stepping all over his words and using incorrect words. Wow......a book huh?

Sistah   March 19th, 2009 9:18 am ET

Bush is so dumb, that if he actually writes his own book he would self incriminate himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what a waste of a president----- LOSER I pick for the name of this book or maybe " PRESIDENT BIGGEST LOSER"

I CAN KEEP GOING ON WHAT ABOUT " TOXIC PRESIDENT"

OR "HOW TO BANKRUPT A NATION IN 8 YEARS"

"PRESIDENT FOR DUMMIES"

"WHAT NOT TO SAY AS PRESIDENT"

Marla- FL   March 19th, 2009 9:17 am ET

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh stop! Please, my ribs are breaking.

All Republicans are window lickers   March 19th, 2009 9:17 am ET

Wow, can't wait to here this revisionist tale. And as for Obama taking time to pick a final four in basketball, I guarantee you at least 75% of the people dissing him are doing it from a work computer. Maybe they need to get back to their job and stop crying about Obama. GOP return to your windows and start licking.

Joe   March 19th, 2009 9:16 am ET

Does it come included with crayons?

John Johnson   March 19th, 2009 9:16 am ET

They've already selected a title: "The Idiot's Guide to Failure: Twelve Simple Stories of Incompetence and Ignorance."

Michelle O.   March 19th, 2009 9:16 am ET

Exciting.

sms29s   March 19th, 2009 9:16 am ET

This should be a joke.

Boston Carpenter   March 19th, 2009 9:14 am ET

vincent trevisanutto   March 19th, 2009 9:14 am ET

I didn't know he could read, let alone write. It's amazing what you can train animals to do.

He can read and write? He must have had a stroke of genius after he left office.

vette78man   March 19th, 2009 9:13 am ET

So, will the publisher buy the crayons, or is that an out-of-pocket expense for the author?

Neel   March 19th, 2009 9:13 am ET

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This should be great.

mtv   March 19th, 2009 9:12 am ET

Well that book should be only one sentence long.........since he made no important decisions..........only foolish ones............now if he does a book on Foolish Decisions...........he'd get a Best Seller!!!!!!!!

yuri   March 19th, 2009 9:09 am ET

Will there be readers for his book? We all know his controversial decisions and certain obstinate and obscure obsessions with those decisions as well. There is a slim chance he may rile up some readers' rage by rakin' the past rhetorics.

Florida Dude   March 19th, 2009 9:09 am ET

I fully expect upside-down cartoons of war, money and oil. The guy has nothing of substance that I want to hear.

Mickie   March 19th, 2009 9:09 am ET

Oh please – are they going to pay me to read it too? I wouldn't spend a penny when he can't even complete a proper sentence. Who is going to actually write it for him? I hope they can interpret shrugs and stutters.

frank   March 19th, 2009 9:08 am ET

and it's called, "Presidentin' for Dummies."

Steve   March 19th, 2009 9:08 am ET

I shall go out and buy a brand new box of crayons in anticipation of Bush's new book!

SA in OO   March 19th, 2009 9:07 am ET

Since many of the "decisions" this president made were based more on his own personal beliefs, than a rational thrughtful understanding of all the underlying issues, this book may be a testament to how not to run a country.

He also may need a lot of help from people like Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz. If there was any thinking going on it was more likely this gang of neo-cons who were doing it. Bush may have been the guy who signed off on the "tough" desisions the administration made, he just wasn't inclined to spend too much time thinking about them. Which is rally the tragedy of his presidency.

Jeff, TX   March 19th, 2009 9:06 am ET

If you don't buy his book, he retains the executive power to imprison you.

republicans hate america   March 19th, 2009 9:05 am ET

Im sure it will be a nice 3 page set up complete with pop up pages and all.

Pat Omaha, NE   March 19th, 2009 9:05 am ET

Will it have pictures and BIG letters?

lloyd roberts   March 19th, 2009 9:04 am ET

Wow, we knew he couldn't read. But is it true he can write. Must be Darth Vader, ahem "Cheney" writing this little ditty for him. The only prerequisite for reading the book is to have an IQ below 60. Well, that leaves out Limbaugh's audience. And for all you out there who will proclaim me as some liberal, i am not. I was a libertarian republican before it was fashionable, and before the repub party got "Southernized" and lost it's way. This northern ex repub ain't to happy about what happened to my party.

donidarko   March 19th, 2009 9:03 am ET

Does anyone really want to read a "Spin job" on HIS point of view. This man was a complete and utter failure. His policies ruined this country for future generations. The American soldiers and Iraqi citizens he carelessly killed with his illegal war. His division of America, his disgust and disregard for any citizens of this country except the rich and elite. This man is a criminal who should be arrested, put on trial for his crimes and thrown in jail.

Dan Allen   March 19th, 2009 9:02 am ET

I can't wait to see the supportive crowds during the book signing tour.

rich   March 19th, 2009 9:01 am ET

I don't purchase books from war criminals. Thanks but no thanks. I would not even purchase it even if it was on sale for a dollar.

Diane   March 19th, 2009 9:00 am ET

Who is going to write the book for him? He can't put together a coherent sentence. And, you can bet that not one word of it will be the truth.

David in Houston   March 19th, 2009 9:00 am ET

Yeah, the fire could use a little kindling...

Dick M   March 19th, 2009 9:00 am ET

Who would want to read it? Rush Limbaugh and Dick Cheney?

Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Bob I   March 19th, 2009 8:58 am ET

The worst President in history gets a book deal. Maybe he will get a bonus as well!!!!

S.B. Stein E.B. NJ   March 19th, 2009 8:58 am ET

Is this book going to have a lot of pictures? I want to know if he, George W(oman) Bush, is going to admit that he made mistakes on so many issues or if he is going to claim that he was totally correct... I can't wait for him to say that he was 100% correct and history proves him wrong in so many ways.

Had It   March 19th, 2009 8:58 am ET

Hmmm – should I cut brush or have a few drinks today?

Also – can my daddy get me out of the service? Or should I pretend to do my duty?

Mel of Alexandria, Virginia   March 19th, 2009 8:57 am ET

We have had enough lies from that administration. Even if Chaney was really the architect of them all, the integrity was lost, and that renders a book of little consequence.

Independent   March 19th, 2009 8:57 am ET

Won't be buying it.....If he is going to get paid $7 million for it....12 points, isn't that in AA??????

Blue Guy   March 19th, 2009 8:57 am ET

My mom always said that if you can't think of something nice to say be quiet. In her honor here are my thoghts on a book about George W Bush's decisions:
"_______"

Thank you.

Jim, Burlington NC   March 19th, 2009 8:56 am ET

Please just go away Shrub, your legacy will be haunting our grandchildren.

joe smith   March 19th, 2009 8:56 am ET

maybe he can tell us that these proported messages from bin ladin, are really the work of our intelligence people, thus justifying their existence, while keeping thousands of people working in the defence industry..

Mitchell from MS   March 19th, 2009 8:56 am ET

I am happy he is writing this book now everyone can know how hard it was for him to make the decisions that he did.

I don't care who you are being president isn't as easy as people think. BO is finding that out as we speak.

Rtreff   March 19th, 2009 8:56 am ET

I am sure it will have a lot of pretty pictures!

proud army navy mom   March 19th, 2009 8:55 am ET

unless Bush's book is a full confessions of his deceit and ineptness, I am not interested in reading it.

Minnesotan   March 19th, 2009 8:55 am ET

Bush writing a book. What a joke. But at least it'll be the first Flip-book ever written by a former president, with emphasis on small words and factual omissions. He might even sell as many as Joe the Plumber, which was what? Twelve?

bj, Texas   March 19th, 2009 8:54 am ET

Awesome W! Can't wait to read it.

Kaye -Jacksonville FL   March 19th, 2009 8:53 am ET

A book about the decisions of George W Bush – priceless! Bet this baby will just fly off the shelves... hope he's not counting on his sales royalties to pay for his library.... LMAO.

Jeff   March 19th, 2009 8:53 am ET

A book on blunders by Dubya?

gary   March 19th, 2009 8:52 am ET

how much does one get paid to write a short story with single syllable words?

JIM...TX   March 19th, 2009 8:52 am ET

No doubt a SHORT STORY :)

Kyu Reisch, Radcliff, Kentucky   March 19th, 2009 8:52 am ET

I have seen TV News and heard how bad Bush is from the best political reporters, especially Democratic side mouth. In two months short time, it wasn't true, Bush didn't do stupid game like Obama administration did. CNN, please bring all of Obama crazy reporters back to your stage, let them speak out again, OBAMA IS READY ON DAY ONE. I would like to hear from Roland and Dana specially.

SC   March 19th, 2009 8:51 am ET

I'm sure I won't buy the book. I'd give them to Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter & Laura Ingram even if I got free copies.

ines   March 19th, 2009 8:50 am ET

Rich.....

Robert - Florida   March 19th, 2009 8:50 am ET

I suppose the publisher will include a box of crayons with each copy. And none of them thar fancy dan big city words!

Jeff in Houston   March 19th, 2009 8:50 am ET

He can read? He can write? If he can write, will he use big words? Wow. But then again, whatever he writes, we cannot trust it. But no worries. His goose-stepping followers will buy every copy.

Larry   March 19th, 2009 8:49 am ET

Thats going to be a very short book ...
I can't imagine it would be any longer than the opening credits
George W. did NOTHING but waste 8 years, kill thousands of innocent people, including so many of our young children, and help bring this country to the weakest place that it has ever been in my lifetime
He deserves to burn in the hell that his religion so strongly dictates, along with any book the self serving monster might ever write

John Starnes Tampa Florida   March 19th, 2009 8:49 am ET

Well now all he has to do is learn some basic grammar and spelling and syntax to avoid having a ghost writer pen his book for him. Maybe he can brush up on the English language while sitting in a jail cell awaiting trial for treason against America, and war crimes against the Iraqi people, with now over 1 MILLION dead due to his war of choice and profit based on deceit.

Ruthie, Stone Mountain GA   March 19th, 2009 8:49 am ET

Great, another coloring book for my kids.

Hispanic in Dallas, TX   March 19th, 2009 8:48 am ET

Good for you, Mr. President!

You should like all the other ex-Presidents have done!

God Bless you!

SC   March 19th, 2009 8:48 am ET

This makes me laugh and I'm sure it would make my day.

Kit Hope   March 19th, 2009 8:48 am ET

I hope the deal includes a ghost-writer.

Ron   March 19th, 2009 8:47 am ET

Wow, a vignette. That should be exciting.

Ed, Santa Fe, NM   March 19th, 2009 8:46 am ET

a book I will never read.....

Mark   March 19th, 2009 8:44 am ET

I would take the Bush "leave it alone" approach verses this Obama Pelosi train wreck we now have.

Aviate   March 19th, 2009 8:44 am ET

I'd love to be the copy editor on this one. There's a fortune to be made!

Jim in Bisbee   March 19th, 2009 8:44 am ET

My sarcasm level is running high. I've got quips popping out of me with very little thought, but this is serious stuff.

I wonder how honest and open this book will be. I feel that a lot of what happened during the Bush administration happened without Bush's input.

I imagine this book will eventually be ripped to pieces by historians and will be challenged well by more qualified administration insiders.

Aviate   March 19th, 2009 8:43 am ET

Oooh Boy! Another work of spell-binding fiction from the Bush administration! Will this one come with free crayons so we can color in between the lines?

Firth Davenport   March 19th, 2009 8:42 am ET

I guess Karl and Dick have nothing else to do but write the book for Georgie. And they are all doing this through the goodness of their collective hearts – becuase Wolfowicz needs something new to read.

pa   March 19th, 2009 8:41 am ET

Haul Bush & Co. to The Hague, for crimes against humanity, and let decisions be made there.

Blake   March 19th, 2009 8:41 am ET

I wonder who will write it for him, since he's borderline illiterate.

Although, i would buy it if it was written and edited entirely by him just for the gaffes. I'm actually starting to miss the "Bushisms".

Jerry from Coldwater   March 19th, 2009 8:41 am ET

I hope the book has pop outs like most children books.

Tim Tyree   March 19th, 2009 8:41 am ET

I thought this moron would just go away once and for all.

CSD   March 19th, 2009 8:40 am ET

This guy couldn't write a children's book.. The guy can't form a cohesive sentence. Ghost-writing aside, any book about this hack's presidency will be a tragedy of Shakespearean proportion.

Wayne, Greenville TX   March 19th, 2009 8:38 am ET

I can see it now – "12 Important Decisions – And How I Screwed Up Each One", by George W. Bush.

:-)

obama-mama   March 19th, 2009 8:35 am ET

Take the quit drinking part out unless he wants it to be considered fiction.

Jilli   March 19th, 2009 8:35 am ET

Unless he's writing it from a jail cell, I'm not interested.

I don't think Bush would know the truth if it walked up and slapped him in the face.

Good riddance to the worst president of my lifetime.

Mark   March 19th, 2009 8:35 am ET

Give the guy some credit. Bill Clinton gave us and Bush 9/11

Chris (SC)   March 19th, 2009 8:33 am ET

I wonder if he will admit the 12 biggest mistakes he made too. I doubt it though. Probably still thinks he did the best job of any president in history.

That was always what I disliked about Bush the most, never admitting when he made a mistake, Americans will forgive you for a lot of stuff if you just cop to it quickly and not tell us a river of lies. Again just look at Obama, already apologized for something he thought he did wrong. Even if you don't like Obama you have to admit it was nice to hear.

Greg, NY   March 19th, 2009 8:33 am ET

Is it going to be a coloring book or a pop-up book?

Pa republican   March 19th, 2009 8:32 am ET

With all the citicism he has and is still receiving, this may enlighten citizens to the tough choices he had to make. We do not and never will know all the facts regardless who is president. Each president, regardless of party and differences, will not make public every detail and should be granted time to prove his decisions.

Shucks   March 19th, 2009 8:32 am ET

Comic book.

2z   March 19th, 2009 8:31 am ET

now he'll HAVE to learn English! NOT!!! LOL!

John Y Des Plaines IL   March 19th, 2009 8:31 am ET

He's going to write a book with all of his accomplishments as President? A book full of blank pages won't sell very well, especially with his picture on the cover! How many copies did Rush pre-order??

Dawn   March 19th, 2009 8:30 am ET

Dubya is writting a book? Who in there right mind would read it, we lived it for 8 years. We were under a dictatorship, our conversations were listened too, our internet was policed. We had BIG BROTHER watching our every move. If you spoke out about the Adminstration, you could have been picked up and placed into a camp and tortured. Our Constitutional rights were violated. We actually had no rights and what Bush/Cheney say we were safe. To me that is BS

bill   March 19th, 2009 8:30 am ET

boy i bet this book of bushes start flying off shelves.caint wait for more lies.what can this criminal say i still can see bush chaney in jail orange jump suits.

Jack in Florida   March 19th, 2009 8:29 am ET

It will be interesting to see how many pages it turns out.........he will certainly need a couple of ghost writers.

Zion   March 19th, 2009 8:29 am ET

I'm sure this book will be much like our already published history books where white men who behave badly will somehow be exonerated.

Brian Crooks   March 19th, 2009 8:28 am ET

...and it was at that point that I realized they called it "underwear," because you wear it UNDER your pants. Almost invariably, this will be revisionist history at its finest and will certainly highlight his success in dealing with Hurricane Katrina, the economy, and when he personally put Osama Bin Laden in a figure-four leglock.

John   March 19th, 2009 8:27 am ET

He may want to have somebody look over it first to have somebody confirm if every decision he thinks was important was something smart people would consider important. For example, deciding where in Arizona to celebrate John McCain's birthday, while hurricane Katrina was drowning the Gulf Coast? Not an important decision. Deciding whether to color inside the lines or outside of them? Not an important decision.

Speaking of which, I'm sure I'm not the first to be amazed that Bush is "writing" a book, and it *isn't* a coloring book.

frank salamon   March 19th, 2009 8:27 am ET

Who is going to write the book for him? That probably won't be a decision he will discuss. Too bad for the rest of us that W gave up drinking.

JOMO   March 19th, 2009 8:27 am ET

This guy can write?????

Hannah   March 19th, 2009 8:27 am ET

Silly Bush, don't you know by now no one wants to listen to your ramblings? I could care less about you now that you have finally left. I do believe you said before your term ended that you would stay out of the public eye because it was someone else's turn. I guess you can't even keep your word outside of political duties. As to your responses to Hurricane Katrina and your decisions in the two wars, I suppose you will drag it out with 100 pages of how you wanted the best for America and the American people. You failed and no amount of propaganda will explain away the deaths of thousands who fought diligently and cooperatively for you and your "plans". The best thing you could do for this country right now is leave it alone and let another more capable person fix your mistakes.

tom   March 19th, 2009 8:26 am ET

The book should be called " Inept decisions made by the WORST President ever elected". Only fools would waste their money and actually buy a copy. The clown can't speak english without mangling the language, how the heck is he going to write anythig properly with out a ton of help? He needs to just disappear on his ranch and let the nation recover from the 8 years of HELL we have suffered from this fool.

I listen to limbaugh every day, just not his sponsors   March 19th, 2009 8:25 am ET

Will the title of the new book be"What Got My Pet Goat"?

AJ   March 19th, 2009 8:24 am ET

Gosh, why can't Bush and his cronies just go away, neve to be heard from again. If he's too stupid to understand the damage that he has done to this nation he needs to have his head examined. He's one of the most hated men in America.

Kevin in Ohio   March 19th, 2009 8:24 am ET

Ah, more fodder for the hatemongering left-wingers on this blog.

Thankfully, this president kept us safe, and it wasnt until the liberals took over Congress that the economy went in to the toilet. That is now abundantly clear from the outright lies we heard from Dodd this week.

A book titled 'I screwed up' is what I would pay for   March 19th, 2009 8:23 am ET

he can write?

Brian G, Sugar Land, TX   March 19th, 2009 8:22 am ET

A must read for all aspiring politicians, Bush's book will be a really good recipe for what NOT to do.

Bush's legacy: a good bad example.

Scott   March 19th, 2009 8:18 am ET

Will this book be written with crayons?

bill   March 19th, 2009 8:17 am ET

No one will need to read this book when all we have to do is look at how his multiple mistakes have affected this country for the present and for years to come.

Steel(ing) Ideas   March 19th, 2009 8:16 am ET
