(CNN) – Former President George W. Bush is writing a book focusing on defining decisions he's made in his personal and political life, a publishing house announced Thursday.
The book, tentatively titled "Decision Points," is to be published in fall 2010, according to the Crown Publishing Group. Financial terms weren't disclosed.
The book will focus on about 12 important decisions made by the former president. Topics will include his decision to run for president, his choice of his closest advisers, the September 11 terrorist attacks, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, his response to Hurricane Katrina, the forming of his stem cell research policy, his decision to quit drinking, how he found faith and his relationships with his father, mother, siblings and wife.
I'm waiting for his book written from prison...
No doubt this will get the Libbies in a tizzy!
This should be interesting, but I still wouldn't spend my hard earned money on it. Basically, the facts speak for themselves. How does one explain away incompetence, failure, unaccountability, and felonious behaviour not seen since Richard M. Nixon? At this point, only his God can be the ultimate arbiter of his Presidency and his life. Please do not look for any sympathy from me, because he will find none. So to write a book to explain or justify his decisions is an attempt to address his critics and gain financially.
He can keep his recollections to himself. We have no use for any more of his lies, and we simply don't care what he has to say. Good riddance!
He can write?
He should leave the book writing to Cheney. Cheney is the one that is not afraid to say what needs to be said.
Will it be a picture book?
After about 2 months of Obama misery, I am MISSING the good ol' days of Bush!
What would be some good titles for this book.
Twice Lied About Stories
The Revision of Fact.
It was Really Cheney
What an oxymoron...George Bush writing a book...he doesn't even speak the language.
Will this be a pop-up book perhaps...with many pictures?
Regarding the comments about pop-ups and coloring books:
He just said book. Your mind went their first. You tell me who is more childish. The man became president, and half of you are probably desk jockeys.
He may not have been perfect, but history will remember his name. I cant say the same for you, and certainly not for me (yet)
Show the man respect where respect is due.
-Kept us safe? Over 4,000 Americans DIED because of Bush's rash decision to invade Iraq.
-Economy was GOOD under Bush? He took us from a trillion dollar surplus to where we are now by ignoring balanced budgets.
How about backing up comments here with facts?? Just because we call a bad president a bad president does not mean anyone is a hatemonger.....
This book should be called 'The Decline of American Influence under BUSH'.......
George Bush is out of office and so long as he doesn't disparrage THE PRESIDENT I won't personnally disparrage him.
However, given the ZEAL with which others like DICK CHENEY or ARI FLEISHER or Rush LIMBAUGH, or Mann COULTIER seem intent on promoting Dubya's greatness, by criticizing Barack Obama, the country will continue to be polarized.
GOP moderates and Independet voters, if you can shut these lying loudmouths up, we can pull the country back together and make some progress.
Uh, George – we lived through it. We know what happened. Don't try to re-write history. It won't work.
Decisions?? Doesn't he mean the important delusions of his presidency?
How can he write a book when he can't even read? This pathetic man should be in jail along with cheney and the other criminals form this administration.
Unlike some of the far-right-folks, that constantly bash President Obama, I wont participate in bashing Bush.
All I can say is that when his day of reckoning comes, may GOD have mercy on his soul!
Where would we find it in stores? Under Fiction?
when you all graduate from Harvard and achieve the highest position in the world, you can criticize his 'intelligence'.
I look forward to this read.
The Decider writes on the BIG decisions he made...
– deciding to build a teeball field next to the White House.
– deciding to end his work day at 5pm. (note: it started after 11am!)
– deciding which tie goes well with his suit jacket.
– deciding which teleprompter he would read from at the next conference.
– deciding which country needed invading next (note: dartboard involved)
– deciding not to read the newspaper, watch television, or listen to congress, the senate, the courts, the people...
Why would you label this article as: 'The Decider' Lands Book Deal? That is a lack of respect for former President Bush and shows how CNN reporting is as unprofessional and biased as you can get.
I just wonder who will purchase this book; and why?
