(CNN) – He played Dick Cheney in the recent Oliver Stone film 'W,' but Richard Dreyfuss made clear he's no fan of the former vice president.
In Washington Wednesday to promote preservation of the country's civil war battlefields, Dreyfuss quipped to Politico he's not missing former President Bush's No. 2.
"I miss having him in jail, that's where he belongs," the actor said.

Dreyfuss is known for his outspokenness across the political spectrum, calling his former director Oliver Stone a "fascist on the left" last fall.
Cheney himself isn't holding back punches of his own. In an interview on CNN's State of the Union with John King last Sunday, he derided the Obama administration's national security policies and said they have made the country less safe.

I didnt know that Dreyfuss is a Constitutional lawyer. But I guess he can play one on tv or maybe he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Look, if i had to pinpoint anyone in that administration to loathe it would be Cheney because he is a dick!!!!!!!!!! He kept a lot of things from the president. He basically took over his VP job in the wrong direction. It's like he's an evil genius plotting to tear down Obama in anyway but fails because our President Obama has a backbone and is even tempered. Cheney is just a cranky old man who needs to get some sleep.
Dreyfus belongs in the psycho ward/ No clue. No brains. Not really an American, Belongs to every fringe liberal lunatic group imaginable. The INS should deport this guy
There are more important issues then this like our enemies in South America like Chevos contine to build its military you have China, North Korea and Iran and Syria building nuclear weapons you have Russia rebuilding its military you have afghanistan and Iraq to deal with... Wake up America the enemies of the United States are plotting against us and all we care about is fame and what dumb Hollywood actors think.... and the European Union continues to get strong and will one day bring the US to its knees our economic crises is only going to get worse

Cheney must know that he is despised by the majority of the worlds population. He would likely not survive in the world if he didn't travel covertly. His best chance is to kick off before his secret service staff is removed in 2018.

It is so funny that these liberal idiots in Hollywood can overlook a felony by a Democrat (yes, Bill Clinton did perjure himself ion a court of law which is a felony if anyone in this country had the courage to go get him) yet the GOP leaders should go to jail. Come on, saying someone to jail has o be outside political feelings, you can't overlook a crime by a democrat and call a republican a big moster. Some of us have the opinion that Clinton paved the way to show W how to abise presidential power, and Clinton was real good at that too. I totally agree with on this matter. I mean everyone on this blog is voicing their opinion, but somehow feel that actors/actresses don't have the same right. Last I checked it your choice to go see their talent of acting, not by force or demand. So basically you are not paying them to do anything by some people views on this blog. You are giving your money to something your are taking pleasure in, not by mere force.
All has a right to voice their opinion. It's your choice to agree or disgree.

Dick Cheney and George Bush did not commit any crimes. It is amazing to me how liberals just make up a lie and they repeat it so often they actually start believing what they said. The only crime President Bush committed was not standing up to the liberals and their lies and fighting back. He had too much integrity to bring himself to their level. Richard is right cheney should be in jail with his constant fear mongering. I have never heard one positive thing come out of his mouth. I lean to the left but I agree with you Charlie, we all have our opinions, unfortunatly the folks in Hollywood just have a bigger stage to speak from. Also just as people look up to athletes people look to Hollywood and think because they are famous their views must be important. Our voices can be heard at the polls and we get the opportunity to be heard at the national level every two years while voting fo congress and president. You could add Hank Williams Jr. and Chuck Norris to your comment as well.

Obama has divided and still divides this country. His team bashes anybody who doesn't agree with him. Obama has stirred more turmoil than any other President.
Thank God for CNN. Fox has thus far ignored the news that someone as important as Richard Dreyfuss has an opinion about something outside his extremely limited area expertise. I wonder if Anson Williams or any of our other fine actors have weighed in. Good work CNN!
