(CNN) - The Democratic National Committee's anti-Rush Limbaugh billboard makes its debut in West Palm Beach, FL Tuesday morning, the town adjacent to the conservative talk show host's neighborhood of Palm Beach.

"Americans Didn't Vote for a Rush to Failure" was the winning slogan in a DNC contest last month that followed Limbaugh's statement that he hoped President Obama would fail.

@ Jordan, who said "He said he wanted his policies to fail because he believes they will hurt this country."

It's circular logic. Rush and the rest of you people mischaracterize Obama's policies as resulting in a socialist state, communism, a Huxleyan Brave New World, etc. The reality is, if Obama succeeds, by any sane, rational and reasonable definition of "succeed" in relation to his policies (i.e., have they done what they were intended to do?), then the economy will be back on track, the country's transportation, health care, education and other infrastructure will have been greatly improved, unemployment will be greatly reduced, new industry such as alternative energy will be driving a large sector of our economy, etc. etc.

The reality is, what Rush and the rest of you are really saying is that you don't want the rest of the planet to find out that you've been 100% wrong, and that the right way to do everything is precisely the opposite of what you've been preaching and shoving down this country's throat for decades.

I hope you all realize that the Democrats KNOW this will keep Rush in the spotlight, right where we want him to be! He's moronic and he makes the Democratic party look better and better every time he opens his ridiculous mouth! I love it! He can be the party leader, the party candidate, whatever he wants to be because middle America hates him!

I don't mind when democrats waste their own money on this crap, it's kind of funny. However, when they spend trillions of tax payers money, that should give Rush a fair amount of ammunition.

Thanks to the Dems, Rush ratings are climbing through the roof. The left had their radio hero but he's off the air and is a senator wannabe.

We already took the Rush path the last eight years. The whole jobless recovery thingy remember from the first downturn? Been there done that. Obama is going to do just fine.

I think it's great. Everyone worried that it's free publicity and only upping the ratings of an extremist, relax. Yes, it's upping his ratings AND exposing the rest of the country to the "if it's not conservative it's evil, and if it's conservative it's always good, even when it's terribly terribly wrong" he spits for a few hours everyday. Meanwhile, he offends every person who is not a sociopathic conservative. We then see the connection between him and the true feelings of his followers and the base of the republican party. The connection is made. Case in point, first day after this started, in his rebutal defending his stupid comment he repeatedly referee to the media as "butt boys" to Obama. Gee thanks rush, I'll be glad to take that gay vote there. Aweful good of you. PS, I live in OK, I know his listening audience, you have nothing to fear if it does actually require a bit of intellectuality and inteligence for a group to gain legitimacy. THAT question is still open though.

@ Liar, who claimed "95% of conservatives take what Rush says with a grain of salt. 95% of liberals take what Rush says at face value."

Wrong. 95% of conservatives regurgitate Rush's idiocy on a regular basis, word for word, holding up signs, blathering on blogs, and even the pwoerful GOPers out there apologize to the bloviating blowhard when they heretically deviate from his mandated dogma. 95% of the liberals who judge them for it have no other basis for understanding what might possibly be going thru those conservatives' heads other than the words coming out of their mouths, which are Rush's words.

I think this will backfire on the DNC. Moderates are the swing voters both sides try to attract to win elections. As a moderate I voted for Obama because of the childish antics of the McCain campaign. Alot of us did. Why would the DNC decide to use the same childish antics? They won the election. The best thing to do is show some class and be magnanimous in their victory. This is just a big turnoff.

I find it quite funny how much attention the DNC and the administration pay to an entertainer. Are they afraid of something?

DNC, you do not have anything to show but criticize Rush. You should know that your man in the White House will take us to hell. Czech Prime minister is absolutely right.

Hahaha! You stupid liberals have a Rush Derangement Syndrome. For someone to be so irrelevant, you sure do like to talk about him and make ads about him.

Just another tactic to keep emotions stirred and to get people's focus off what our esteemed leaders are trying to turn our country into.

Maybe the Regressionists should go to a drug treatment center to find another leader of the party....since they respect a drug addict over a Harvard Law School grad. What losers....I wish they could get their act together and be reasonable because we need educated, intelligent opposition.

What an embarassment the immaturity and wasteful spending of the DNC must be to the party. Grow up and quit being so childish. Goodness, just settle it on the playground already. The majority of Americans have serious issues to worry about - your petty squabble is just sad.

    A travelling billboard…….. That's not very eco-friendly is it?

I guess democrats only care about the environment when it suits their needs.

Try speaking for other Democrats, pal, because this one is REALLY REALLY angry that they put this on a travelling billboard.

Americans Did Vote for a Rush to Failure when they voted for Obama. Obama rushed the stimulus through congress and that has not helped. He rushed the Omnibus bill through congress with 8000 some earmarks in it. I think most people were so pissed about bush they rushed into a decision and picked a failure.

How childish is this any way. So what if he said he hopes Obama fails. Carville said the same thing about bush. The dems sure did not care then why should anyone care now?

If Americans didn't vore for a rush to failure, then why is Obama in such a rush to fail? Everything he wants done must be rushed to avoid public outcry….or in obamas words a crisis.

Did you fall into a coma in mid-2007 and just wake up from it?!
WE ARE IN A CRISIS!! I don't know if it's reached Big Fork, Texas, population 300 yet, but the civilized world is actually IN a CRISIS.

I completely agree with Liar's opinion:
    ———————————————————-
95% of conservatives take what Rush says with a grain of salt.

95% of liberals take what Rush says at face value.

    How ironic is that??????
    ———————————————————

    Well put!

Then why do conservatives jump on here with 95% of his talking points?

This is the best the Dems can do? The economy is getting worse with each day of the Obama administration, N. Korea is improving is ballistic missile capability, there's a few million Muslims that want to kill us and we can't control our own borders but the Dems are obsessed with Rush. Wonderful.

I didn't vote for a catastrophic presidency but we have one anyway. Don't Rush's opponents know that advertising against him only raises his ratings? If not, don't tell them.

You voted for a catastrophic presidency TWICE!!
And we WANT Rush Limbaugh's rating to go up!
The more his ratings go up, the worse the Republicans do in opinion polls.!
