First lady to dine with Hogwarts crew

(CNN) – It's ladies' night in London. While her husband is dining with presidents and prime ministers at a Group of 20 pre-summit dinner, Michelle Obama has plans of her own Wednesday evening.

The first lady is set to attend a rival banquet for summit spouses hosted by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's wife, Sarah. Mrs. Brown is expected to seat Mrs. Obama between Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and Olympic champion runner Kelly Holmes at the reception at the historic 10 Downing Street in central London. Other attendees will include supermodel Naomi Campbell, British sitcom actress Ruth Jones, and Web site mogul Martha Lane Fox.

After the meal, prepared by celebrity television chef Jamie Oliver, Mrs. Brown is expected to take the women to the opera.

Mrs. Obama and Sarah Brown met for tea Wednesday morning and toured a cancer center in London. The first lady will join President Obama in the afternoon at Buckingham Palace to meet with Queen Elizabeth.

@ Ron from Pennsylvania – you're full of crap. After being admitted to an ivy league college on an affirmative action plan (oh poor me), she did nothing more than bash the whites, bashed the college that SHE WENT TO FREE because, in her opinion, they didn't have what she thought was enought black, tenured professors. Gee, I wonder why? The nerve of that woman!

Dave in Chicago...you are correct. CNN is truly biased. The posts here are bias. Watch the green horn messiah run this great country into the ground with his communist manifesto. You will all be sorry that you got what you asked for. The everyday piece meal will add up to a great loss for this Republic.Goodbye cruel world.

To Big George and the other incredibly backward and pathetic folks of his ilk, remember that white males have been the biggest beneficiaries of affirmative action this country has ever had. For centuries, everything was set aside for them. Do you honestly think that the only qualified people to serve as president were white males? Only a confused person would think so. This Big George person is no doubt an underachiever who must make another seem small in order to feel better about his sorry self. My brother graduated from an Ivy in the mid seventies, and Big George couldn't even begin to match is puny intellect with my brother's.

stop comapring the plain jane Michelle Obama to the beautiful and gracful Jackie Kennedy. it is ridiculous. and a footnote: the only experience Obama had for the presidency was his African(kenyan)-American heritage.

    @ Pam and Shawn.

So only 12% of the nation does not approve of Obama? Where do you get your facts? The Huffington Post?

You ask me how it feels? It feels great. It confirms something that I have known for quite some time. That would be that most people are easily influenced, uneducated, fueled by emotion and weak minded.

Take care and enjoy your extra $20 per week.
