Palin will speak at a pro-life dinner in Indiana this week.
Palin will speak at a pro-life dinner in Indiana this week.

(CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is coming under fire from state lawmakers, including members of her own party, over her decision to spend half of the final three days of the legislative session to headline a pro-life dinner in Indiana.

"There are some concerns [in the Capitol] about the focus of our chief executive because she's taken a speaking engagement in Indiana for a 36-hour period with only 72 hours left in the legislative session," state Rep. Jay Ramras of Fairbanks told the Anchorage Daily News.

Earlier, Palin had opted to skip a number of events, including the annual Conservative Political Action conference in Washington. Her aides had cited the demands of the state's legislative session. This weekend, she defended her decision. "I'll be gone for one day. I already have been on record with lawmakers on this," she told the ADN. "I told lawmakers, you know what, 'Please, don't make me feel that I have to ask you permission, lawmakers, to leave the capital city.' "

Two thorny issues remain unresolved as the session draws to a close. Lawmakers want to accept all the stimulus money that has been offered the state, while Palin wants to reject about a third of the nearly $931 million the federal government has offered. And her controversial pick for attorney general - the outspoken Wayne Anthony Ross - has not yet been confirmed.

Al, give me a break! Palin opened her own mouth and spoke her own words. The media had to merely play the tape for the world to see what an ignoramous she is! She has no one to blame but herself for her defeat in November.

Jimmy   April 13th, 2009 3:24 pm ET

I'm from Alaska, and those lawmakers always I mean always have weekends off, while they're basically watching Sarah for every single move. They're jealous of her cleverness, power, and integrity. She's finally taking a day off since January.

Gpenn   April 13th, 2009 3:11 pm ET

Palin putting her own ambitions ahead of the people of Alaska. Very much like she did to her daughter and family.

fort   April 13th, 2009 3:09 pm ET

For those out there that support her, please tell me why?

This woman has never taken responsibility for anything that went wrong in the presidential campaign. Not once. She, as well as a number of her supporters, always blame the media.

Happy in Arizona   April 13th, 2009 3:08 pm ET

Get rid of her already. She is a disgrace to womanhood. I am sick and tired of hearing about her. what a joke.

wwf   April 13th, 2009 3:05 pm ET

And the beat goes on and on and on and on and on and on. Just like a broken record.

Frank, Las Vegas   April 13th, 2009 3:04 pm ET

Typical. Palin First, Party Second and citizens of Alaska far, far down the list. Hopefully she we Not be re-elected in 2010.

Simmy   April 13th, 2009 3:03 pm ET

She needs the intervention of someone courageous enough to tell her she has no chance in this lifetime to become president. How she became governor is curious. There's a real world beyond Alaska that's beckoning her to cease and desist with made up controversies that propel her back into the spotlight. Her sun has set her...

mike   April 13th, 2009 2:55 pm ET

That woman is prideful. That's why she does't want the money. I dont' think she's even smart enough to be a governor. How in the world did she ever get elected???

proud army navy mom   April 13th, 2009 2:53 pm ET

if palin wouldn't spend her time responding to a teenager, trying to cover her lies, then she would free up some time to do the work, she is paid to do.

Seriously   April 13th, 2009 2:48 pm ET

Well, at least the media is collecting enough information for the next time she attempts to run a powerful office.

Wanda in Montana   April 13th, 2009 2:47 pm ET

Al - Sarah Palin destroys herself. No need for democrats, much less the President of the United States - to do a thing. She's a walking laughing stock.

Weren't you Republicans embarrassed enough after George W. Bush? He sure failed to put food on the family, you can't argue with that.

Rob R   April 13th, 2009 2:46 pm ET

Does it sound like she used the term "lawmakers" to imply that she's above them? Is this another example of how there seems to be Palin at one level, and the rest (and the law) below her? GINO...I like that.

Jonnie   April 13th, 2009 2:44 pm ET

I keep thinking of the following: She called Obama a terrorist by the company he kept...yet after Obama won she said "I'd be honored to serve with Obama if he asks!!!!!!!!" GO FIGURE!!!!

Yak   April 13th, 2009 2:41 pm ET

I have to laugh at the "hate and fear" comments. Good heavens, who could possibly *hate* Sarah Palin? She's just so laughable! Sure, she's an accomplished woman, and she legitimately deserves respect for having gone as far as she has. But to take her seriously as a world leader is just... too much to expect of anyone with a working brain. Really!

I hate to break it to the right wing conspiracy theorists in the bunch but ... nobody needed to do an attack and smear campaign on her during the election. She melted down all by herself, right on national TV. Big as life.

Wynter   April 13th, 2009 2:41 pm ET

Surprise. Surprise.. leaving the office with her business incomplete? Perhaps you should leave her AG Nominee "incomplete" as well.

You work for a living honey. This isn't some vacation you are on.

Pete in NYC   April 13th, 2009 2:38 pm ET

Palin ruined herself. Stop being ignorant and saying that everyone else is bashing her down. If she cannot take care of her own family, whats makes you think she can take care of a country? Palin first, country second? Scary.....

Change has come!!!   April 13th, 2009 2:36 pm ET

This just goes to show it's all about here and here agenda. Only good thing about Palin is her "true" colors have emerged since she hit the national spotlight.

lou   April 13th, 2009 2:35 pm ET

She wants to be out of the state when they agree to accept all the stimulus money..which they will...so when she runs in 2012 she can lie and say she would have stopped it had she been in town!

Bill   April 13th, 2009 2:34 pm ET

Alaska would be better off if she left and never came back!

PuckU   April 13th, 2009 2:34 pm ET

When are the good people of the state of Alaska going to wake up and demand that the trash has got to be removed from the state capitol. This is definetly not the person Americans would want for a President. Palin is nothing but trash.

Adam   April 13th, 2009 2:34 pm ET

Yes, she is a strong willed woman, and that is great. But to say we need more like her is just wrong. She is self-centered, self-serving and can't seem to think things through very well. She can't put together a cogent thought and couldn't find a grammatical sentence if it stood up did a dance. What we need are strong women who are intelligent, educated and have the good of others always before themselves. That is the type of person we need to lead us... Sarah Palin is not this type of woman. I'm sorry. Being a good leader means so much more than being strong willed and confident. The best leaders in the world are those who lead by example and deed rather than by word and showy media event.

Bob   April 13th, 2009 2:34 pm ET

The real question is how much money Plain is making by going to this speaking engagement. I'm sure she's getting a fairly large contribution to her campaign fund........she doesn't care about Alaskans or anyone else but herself. She is by far one of the most imcompetent and stupid human beings on the face of the earth.

Ursula   April 13th, 2009 2:32 pm ET

LOL – Hopefully Alaska won't vote for her again!

PDizzle in Maine   April 13th, 2009 2:32 pm ET

It isn't ATTACKing the governor to simply report what she says and does. Though it tends to have that effect.

Mary   April 13th, 2009 2:29 pm ET

Sarah is trying to become president in 2012. Let her do her thing. After all, Alaskan does not need representation until it is time for her to run again.. So let her campaign.

Alaskan   April 13th, 2009 2:26 pm ET

"Alaska has no budget deficit because the governor had set up a rainy day fund two years ago for emergency such as an economic down turn the rest of the country and the world is going through."

Umm... Alaska is relatively well off because a major portion of its revenue comes from taxes on oil and other extractive industries. Oil prices have been rising, ergo Alaska's coffers have been doing well. This relationship between Alaska's budget and oil revenues has been in place since the 1970s, long before Palin came on the scene. (In fact, Alaskans have a liberal - by AK standards - government to thank for the permanent fund dividend checks, which are also funded off the oil revenues.)

BTW, out of 350+ million acres in Alaska, only 3 million is held in private hands. The rest is owned by the state, federal government, or First Nations entities. People who trot out Alaska as an exemplar of the success of Republican "free" market policies are wildly, wildly uninformed. Almost as much as Palin herself.

RMG   April 13th, 2009 2:26 pm ET

I swear...she is the gift that just keeps giving. Makes me a very happy liberal. :)

andrew kaye   April 13th, 2009 2:25 pm ET

I am so thankful that I do not live in Alaska..only because if I did, I would be spending every waking minute protesting that brainless fool that has somehow become Governor.....

right wing white people on CNN   April 13th, 2009 2:24 pm ET

A french Queen once said, " Let them eat cake".

Thanks for nothing Palin.

Annette   April 13th, 2009 2:23 pm ET

....And just think she could have become the next VP?? This Gov. is thinking of herself, and herself only...she proved that a long while back during the Presidential race.

Texas Annie *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*   April 13th, 2009 2:22 pm ET

Sarah reminds me of an irresponsible argumentative teen who whines "I'm 16, I'm almost an adult, I can make my own decisions"... well, sure, but are those decisions made based on logic & facts, or are they just based on the whim of the moment & what you want to do no matter whether it might be right or wrong????

Angela   April 13th, 2009 2:19 pm ET

A pro-life dinner is more important than resolving these legislative issues? In other words, lining up support from the right wing for 2012 is more important than, you know, Alaska's needs.

JLP   April 13th, 2009 2:17 pm ET

What an embarrassment to the people of Alaska – she just doesn't get it that people are tired of being used by politicians and she is not even a very good one at that!

Bill   April 13th, 2009 2:15 pm ET

Is she a State Official or is she still running for a Federal Position? Sounds to me like she should be paying the state back on these little trips that are only for her best interests. Fact that she won't accept the Federal Stimul is more a matter of principle to her than what the state and its people diserve.

ChicagoJim   April 13th, 2009 2:15 pm ET

There's one thing that Sarah Palin does exceedingly well. She manages to entice the news media into giving her free, expansive, and frequent publicity. Enough about this nonentity who, I pray, will never be elected to any national office.

Jackie from Durham, NC   April 13th, 2009 2:14 pm ET

She is moving the Republican Party one step closer to the edge of the cliff. The party has not relevance, and is dead – by anyone's definition.

Alan   April 13th, 2009 2:13 pm ET

I find it interesting when people bemoan the "hatchet job" others are doing to Sarah Palin. If I recall correctly, it seems it was Sarah Palin calling Obama a socialist, then saying he "pals around with terrorists." Poor widdle Sarah is only getting what she dished out and it's obvious she can't take it.

Joey   April 13th, 2009 2:10 pm ET

Bahahaha Dems make me laugh. they say stand up for what you believe in then when a republican stands up for what she believes in its all the sudden a bad thing. well guess what? Obama has not done anything to make this nation better, at least Palin is trying-and doing the right thing. has the economic system been getting better since Obama became Pres? Obama is all talk and nothing to stand on. Sorry Dems but you voted in a complete goof

gerry mcgarvey   April 13th, 2009 2:10 pm ET

Oh, it's okay "she's hot", remember the campaign buttons and signs at the Republican convention. She is the right's answer to our problems, can we really take these people seriously?

Geoffrey 813715   April 13th, 2009 2:10 pm ET

Folks, Jay Ramras hasn't done anything but present legislation to make his business grow since he was voted into office. He has started his run for governor over the last few months by suddenly developing a social conscience. Palin isn't a saint by a long shot but Ramras should be taken with a pound of salt.

Ms. White   April 13th, 2009 2:09 pm ET

@ AL
I do not remember Obama and his staff telling Katie Couric..."I'll get back to ya”; or Charlie Gibson..." What is the Bush Doctrine"?
She not a threat to anyone put herself and this great country...she will never be taken seriously by anyone other then her wacky base followers.
But I do want her to run for the laughs!!!!!! laughing now

rick   April 13th, 2009 2:06 pm ET

Sarah Palin is the best soap opera we having going. I hope she continues her ridiculous quest for national office. We all need a good laugh in these difficult times.

Kevin in NoDak   April 13th, 2009 2:04 pm ET

Interesting.... They think she ought to stay in Alaska... and so do I.

Sometimes Republicans & Democrats CAN agree.

eileen   April 13th, 2009 2:01 pm ET

I say let her go...the more time she spends away from Alaska the more time the folks up there gather the strength to toss her out on her butt come the next election. Lose she will, and then let her try to run for national office.

Between this, her kids, her sister-in-law and her lies I believe she has firmly established herself as a walking joke.

Irene   April 13th, 2009 1:59 pm ET

Don't you get it GOP? Palin doesn't care about anybody but herself. She doesn't care about her kids (parading them like that at the GOP convention,) She doesn't care about her running mate – she slammed him as soon as the campaign was over. She doesn't care about the people in Alsaka who sadly elected her as governor. All she cares about is winning. This is why the GOP is not a viable party any more. She's pandering to the religous conservative nuts because she thinks they will put her in national office. She's gonna be a sore loser when she realizes that we're done with conservative Christians and their wars on everything!

Aaron   April 13th, 2009 1:58 pm ET

Go Sarah! Your blunderings will keep the Republican party shrinking.

If Sarah and her ilk keep getting lots of attention, the Green Party and the Libertarian Party will both be bigger than the Republican party within 10 years.

I know plenty of republicans and they really aren't that dumb.

keeth in california   April 13th, 2009 1:58 pm ET

Ideology trumps politics and the people. Certainly not surprised here.

Charles   April 13th, 2009 1:58 pm ET

Sarah Palin does what she thinks is best for her and her political career and to heck with everything else. Sarah is out for Sarah.

Monika Germany   April 13th, 2009 1:57 pm ET

I sure hope that the alaskan people find out what an incompentent governor they elected and will never vote her into any public office again. she is very dumb and uneducated, if the republican party relies on her they really must be desperate. sarah palin does not care about anybody but herself.

sngeorgia   April 13th, 2009 1:57 pm ET

Pitiful Sarah, is still "an entertainer". SNL please give her a spot to keep us laughing. She's a joke. We are still talking about Sarah because of this. After all, we need a Good laugh sometimes....then we get sick of the jokes........then laugh again......

dee   April 13th, 2009 1:57 pm ET

You know, she was right. She is lipstick on a pit bull.

John   April 13th, 2009 1:56 pm ET

Sarah Palin cannot talk without a teleprompter, does not wear a flag pin and was born in Russia and swam to Alaska as a child. She does not wear a jacket in the oval office and she is a Muslim too.

Are these the unfair attacks you Palin excuser’s speak of?.

Chloe   April 13th, 2009 1:55 pm ET

I must say, she does keep America laughing!

Alfred E. Neumann   April 13th, 2009 1:54 pm ET

Wow, Alaska Republicans upset that a conservative will be speaking at a pro life dinner.

Democrats object because, well she is a conservative.

Republicans object because she ousted an incumbent Republican governor who had little in the way of accomplishments.

And MSM is all to delighted to run negative Sarah Palin stories.

Allison   April 13th, 2009 1:54 pm ET

Sarah really needs to stay home....her family is an absolute mess.

J.Crobuzon   April 13th, 2009 1:54 pm ET

Ya know what? I bet she's gonna, like, you know, go politickin' down thar in the States. You betcha she doesn't hafta ask no permission from no lawmakers, no sirree bob, spit I reckon. Besides, she's gonna leave Mister Dude behind her as the Actin' Governor Dude, like she always does.
You betcha.

Jillie   April 13th, 2009 1:53 pm ET

Just when you thought Sarah couldn't sink any lower!!

ldk   April 13th, 2009 1:52 pm ET

As a liberal I have absolutely no fear of Governor Palin. What I do fear are all the moron conservatives that actually support her. Now that is scary.

RYAN   April 13th, 2009 1:51 pm ET

Palin has made an absolute mess of herself, her family and the Republican Party. She's a mess.

Bruce from Alaska   April 13th, 2009 1:49 pm ET

As an Alaskan, I tell you that poor Sarah's ego is out of control-McCain created a political monster when his camp picked her. She reminds me of that WW1 song "How can you keep them down on the farm when they've seen Paree"

John   April 13th, 2009 1:48 pm ET

The governments ability to control a women’s body and force them to follow their religious ways is and always will be the most important concern with people like Sarah. We cannot have a country where people are allowed to make their own religious decisions about their own bodies. Until the government is the complete authoritative decision maker for all your religious "choices", everything else is going got have to come second and is simply less important.

dobeman   April 13th, 2009 1:47 pm ET

What's the big deal. She's stated her opinion on the stimulus money. The only thing that can be accomplished by her staying, is that those opposing her view, can try and draft a "compromise," which, in essence, means they'll end up accepting more than 2/3 of the money, which is NOT what she wants.

By her leaving, she's saying, "I don't want 1/3 of the money and I'm done talking about it."

Seems to me like those left back home to figure this out are the ones who need to get off their duffs and make THEIR ELECTED OFFICIAL's wishes, into law.

SD,Michigan   April 13th, 2009 1:47 pm ET

She doesn't want to admit she was just posturing and playing politics with the so called "rejection" of the stimulus money. She wants to be able to say "The State legislators took the money while I was gone, you know I was against it". Or not. Or..against? Or...not?..or..whatever!

Lori   April 13th, 2009 1:46 pm ET

To Ed and the other Republicans that continue to say that Sarah Palin has more 'experience' than President Obama. Ummmm...that argument doesn't work anymore. Obama is now PRESIDENT! Sarah Palin is still a Governor. President Obama now has more Presidential experience than Palin or any other potential Republican candidate out there. Time to go back to the drawing board and find some other friviolous argument to attack the President on, huh?

Laurie in Spokane   April 13th, 2009 1:45 pm ET

Jake W in Alaska: The name GINO is fine for Palin....so very true, but when will someone in Alaska begin impeachment proceedings against her? She's making the State of Alaska a laughing stock.

Jason B.   April 13th, 2009 1:44 pm ET

Well if I'm not there to sign any bills that I don't like, then "ta-da!" I get my way!

Seriously though, I do have to question this. Due to deadlines she cancels other engagements, but suddenly she's got to go to this event? I agree with other posters, Sarah Palin is only interested in furthering her own career at this point. If she were out of the news for a whole week, she'd stand in front of an oncoming train just to grab the headline.

elana   April 13th, 2009 1:44 pm ET

I'm pleased to see that the Alaskan Legislature and the residents of Alaska are waking up from being "unconscious" and are now realizing what exactly this woman is - A FRAUD!!! Thank God she didn't end up in the White House!

Chas in Iowa   April 13th, 2009 1:43 pm ET

I still can't figure out where she picked up a Wisconsin accent.
You can't even see Wisconsin from her house.

Fittty scents   April 13th, 2009 1:41 pm ET

She gots to be there, because she is the best qualified. She can see Indiana from her BACKYARD!!!!!!!!!

Go Sarah Go   April 13th, 2009 1:41 pm ET

Look on the bright side. The more the GOP gets behind S.P., the quicker it will come to an end. This is THE BEST they have to offer. She does more to increase the popularity and power of the Dems than anyone. The more she talks, the better they look.

Jason   April 13th, 2009 1:39 pm ET

Sounds like she has already moved to D.C mentally. If I lived there I'd be a might perturbed.

george from alaska   April 13th, 2009 1:39 pm ET

sarah, the job is in juneau...not anchorage, indiana, or dc. if you don't want to show up for work at your elected office in juneau, then step aside and let a more responsible person take over. alaskans are fed up with your selfish narcissistic nonsense. we are going to throw you out of office and on to your attention seeking rear end at the next election!

Eileen   April 13th, 2009 1:38 pm ET

Nice job ms palin – I guess you're proving the addage – when the going gets tough the tough leave town for a speaking engagement. Bad decision, bad display of leadership – but not unexpected from ms palin.

Ken Sawyer   April 13th, 2009 1:38 pm ET

She should know by now it is hard to fight Socialism once it is presented to the public. It is now an accepted practice in all the states. With a big percent of people who have worked in the past for a living and find themselves out of work and the other percent who have found a way to live off the government (the 50 percent who work)I can see why there is panic in Wonderland.

Eltrip   April 13th, 2009 1:38 pm ET

This woman is under the delusion that she is a serious candidate and still running. I feel for the Alaskans. It would be nice to have a governor who considers herself as such. Instead they're stuck with someone who doesn't have her constituents best interests at heart. If she was as popular as she thinks she wouldn't be living on the frontier.

glacierdawg   April 13th, 2009 1:37 pm ET

Her popularity in Alaska has dropped like the mercury in a Fairbanks thermometer in January... By 2012 she'll be back in Wasilla making moose burgers for good...

Had It   April 13th, 2009 1:37 pm ET

Is she saying she's the AK Decider? Ya' betcha !!!

Denise   April 13th, 2009 1:37 pm ET

Palin cares nothing for her fellow Alaskans. Just as all the anti-stimuls GOP Governors have shown. It is all abot the big picture and 2012.

Jean   April 13th, 2009 1:36 pm ET

Good Ole' Sarah! You can always count on her to do something controversial. That is one way of getting the media's attention. Negative attention is better than no attention at all....LOL

KJL   April 13th, 2009 1:30 pm ET

Who cares about Alaska? This woman wants to rule the world!!!

Brandon from Ohio   April 13th, 2009 1:29 pm ET

I'm just tired of hearing about this clown. She will not be re-elected as Governor. She will never be President. America's not stupid enough to elect this woman again.

Annie   April 13th, 2009 1:29 pm ET

Nothing like an elected official who's in it for her own political gain rather than doing the business of the people who elected her. Doesn't bode well for furthering her career, I'd say.

GAK   April 13th, 2009 1:29 pm ET

And her party members should be surprised that she dissed them for a pro-life dinner?? She has made it very clear that the dinner is more important than the business of running a state.. Its obvious why she isn't doing more to help her state!! She is looking to position herself for 2012! Alaska who???

Laura   April 13th, 2009 1:28 pm ET

Actually, now that I think about it, let her go. The less influence she has on legislator's decision-making, the better. Be gone! Do no harm to the people of Alaska.

MICHAEL   April 13th, 2009 1:26 pm ET

Her judgement alone scares me. Hey, maybe she can go out on tour with Glenn Beck and hos comedy act. They can call it, you guessed it.....Dumb and Dumber!!!

JJ   April 13th, 2009 1:26 pm ET

It absolutely infuriates me when people suggest that people are scared of or intimidated by Palin, because she is a strong woman, and that's why she is a target of criticism. The woman is a knuckle-dragger. That's why she is a target of criticism. She undermines the efforts and credibility of other educated, competent female politicians everywhere–both republican and democratic. We're supposed to appreciate her as an equal to an Elizabeth Dole, a Snowe, a Shaheen, or a Rodham-Clinton? Please. She needs to quit and pursue work related to her college major, communications (which by the way took five years to get), and go judge pie contests at state fairs.

Sharon - NC   April 13th, 2009 1:25 pm ET

You Alaskans are finally getting it. It's all about her and her 'future'. It has nothing to do with you, other than what you can do to assist her.

Laura   April 13th, 2009 1:25 pm ET

I think it's a disgrace for lawmakers to think that they can have any free time when our country is in such dire circumstances. If anything, I hope they are working overtime. Gov. Palin is determined to keep the limelight on herself and forgo her people's need for assistance. Although I respect a person's desire to stand for their principles, when so many people are unemployed and the economy is in such a precarious position, it appears to me that she should be accepting all monies offered to help the citizens of her state. Eventually, the state can turn this deficit into a profit. But, to take time off when there are only a few short days left in session makes no sense...except to a media hungry individual who cares more for herself than for her constituency.

Dutch Samuel   April 13th, 2009 1:25 pm ET

well I don't see anyone complaining about Obama leaving the US while there is a credit crisis. Like Obama felt the need tot give a speech like he did in Turkey, not calling the Armenian genocide like he promised during
the election cycle.
So is Palin going to a dinner about a subject she feels strongly about

so stop with the bashing.

usually the people that do the bashing are just jealous they are not in the position to do those things anyway.

Independent Again   April 13th, 2009 1:25 pm ET

Gee this remind me of our current President that left town to do Jay Leno during the important debate of the Omnibus spending Bill.

Unshrub   April 13th, 2009 1:23 pm ET

You would think the people in Alaska should be happy when she travels. That way she is out of their state.

Failin Palin   April 13th, 2009 1:23 pm ET

So fun to watch her self-destruct! What next Sarah?

Kim   April 13th, 2009 1:23 pm ET

She is still living in lala land thinking she has a shot at the White House, all she is doing is gauanteeing shes out of the Gov. mansion in 2010. She knows shes out, but some how thinks the country will take the 68% approval rating of Obama and give it to this bible thumping, the earth os 4000 years old LOON!

Maggie   April 13th, 2009 1:22 pm ET

This is hysterical.

Some people want to bash an intelligent person like Obama yet they praise an airhead like Palin.

What in the world am I missing here? Did common sense get thrown out the window? Why would ANYONE praise Palin given her inability to put a coherent sentence together and her lack of brain cells?

How did she ever get elected governor of Alaska?

Roger from CA   April 13th, 2009 1:22 pm ET

I can't stand Sarah Palin! I pray that she continues to behave in such ways and speak in such as manner as to continue to demonstrate to every American to the left of Attilla the Hun that she is a lunatic and an extremist, who shouldn't be allowed within a thousand miles of D.C.

Thank you Sarah for coming to Indiana. We love and support you here! I'm afraid that too many "hoosiers" are now realizing the BIG mistake they made by voting for BO. Even our democrat senator Evan Bayh voted against BO's enormous budget. We tried to warn them, but slick BO charmed them out of their wits. We're all paying for this now. How sad!!! Go Sarah!!!

janice stamper   April 13th, 2009 1:21 pm ET

It appears that Governor Palin's top priority is not what I'd hope it would be.

Kiki   April 13th, 2009 1:17 pm ET

Ok, on one hand Sarah Palin is not really needed some say, and then on the other hand, they don't want her to leave Alaska for one day?!!! Hello, you can't have it both ways. Maybe she is just practicing for a senate seat because that is pretty much what our congress does every year without anyone saying anything about it. They come and go as they please and still collect their big paychecks and ge their big pensions paid for by us the taxpayer. Why don't you all complain about that????

Cevin   April 13th, 2009 1:17 pm ET

If I was a republican, the last person I would want making statements for me or the party would be Sarah Palin. She prides her speaches on ignorance and arrogance, which is not a healthy subsitute for being informed and showing strength.

Tony   April 13th, 2009 1:16 pm ET

Keep it up Sarah, you scared the crap out of me running for office. I am much more at ease now to see you smash your political career to pieces, whew!
Can't beleive people wanted Palin to respresent anything other than ultra-hormonal mothers who cant control thier libido.

Every female elder in my family has more class, skill and political knowledge than Palin could hope for.

Frozone   April 13th, 2009 1:15 pm ET

Palin is too busy running for president and taking pot shots at her daughter's baby daddy to run Alaka's government. Then again, Alaska doesn't have many electoral college votes, so that's why Palin doesn't care.

Terry   April 13th, 2009 1:15 pm ET

@ VGAL.... You hit it right on point.. You can't make this stuff up and my wife stop taping the soap opera's because of Sarah!

LoL – She is wonderful and she keeps our mind off of our current Money problems and jobs! Love it! Good Laughs and good for the spirit and soul....

Dave   April 13th, 2009 1:14 pm ET

Palin is like a bad joke that just won't leave. She has her followers and they are what have turned the GOP into the joke. This bunch of folks who have no grasp of being fiscal conservatives, they are taking over the GOP and turning it into the religious nanny party. They want industry to be free to steal and people to be free to obey religious dogma. The Palin GOP has more in common with the Taliban than the old GOP or Lincoln.

Bill B. Nancy, KY   April 13th, 2009 1:13 pm ET

The sad saga continues.....

janet   April 13th, 2009 1:13 pm ET

Some republican's threw Palin and mCcain into campaign knowing that Obama will beat anybody due to better ideas, and some people still think that Palin is what they need. Let's see and wait till 2012...Republican party will present other people, let's say, Romney? Reps are kinda lost but they are not so stupid and funny like Steele, Palin, they are talking their time, and they know its not their time, they let you play with all this stupidity. I am a democrat but i believe there are many smart people in every party.

Annie   April 13th, 2009 1:13 pm ET

HA! A lip stick wearing pit bull or was it a pig wearing lipstick? Whichever, whatever she's still a joke. We have the McCain Campaing to thank for this ongoing comedy of this evil and uneducated woman. Geesh she must have been a party girl C- journalism studen, intelligent she's not.

Barb   April 13th, 2009 1:10 pm ET

To those who believe that the Democrats are out to destroy Sarah Palin, the only person destroying Sarah Palin is Sarah Palin. Every time she opens her mouth–every grammatically butchered sentence, every self-serving decision, every attempt to defend her incompetence and her family drama–makes her look more foolish. But that's not even surprising! She is by no means the first public figure to make a fool of herself/himself publicly. The really shocking part of this whole melodrama is that there are still people who think she could be president. I think my cat is as qualified as she is!!! How can this still even be intelligently discussed???

chelle   April 13th, 2009 1:08 pm ET

To the people who keep repeating "she's the most popular governor". Yes she is – by virtue of oil revenues. It doesn't mean she's particularly brilliant (see Katie Couric interviews) but that when the state revenues are huge, a deficit is darn near impossible. When you hand out revenue bonuses to your citizens, yeah they are going to like you. There's only 600,000 people to satisfy....a lot easier than several million in just one city.

RRR   April 13th, 2009 1:08 pm ET

Jay Ramras: Please be aware...the focus of Sarah Palin is......SARAH PALIN. You and the state are a distant second.

kevin   April 13th, 2009 1:08 pm ET

Jay Ramras has proven himself a fool and biased. We do not pay attention to him up here so I would advise the other 49 states to ignore him as well.

Lynne   April 13th, 2009 1:07 pm ET

I agree with Vgal. Sarah Palin is a constant source of amusement. I
know that no matter what she says or does, it will be something weird
or funny , so I look forward to my laugh for the day. Alaska, she's making Republicans in your state look like stand-up comedians. I can't wait for the SNL skits in the 2012 !

Jen   April 13th, 2009 1:07 pm ET

Are all these pro lifers willing to pay extra money in taxes to support the medical care, education, feeding, clothing, etc. etc. of all these unwanted babies they want people to have?

Michael in Pittsburgh   April 13th, 2009 1:05 pm ET

Give the poor woman a break! The Indian Pro-Life dinner obviously pays better than the annual Conservative Political Action conference. I mean, really! She does have to pay taxes on the money that she tried to cheat Alaska out of for living in her own house.

carol   April 13th, 2009 1:05 pm ET

Going to a prolife dinner during the last few days of the legislative session is not exactly a high priority. Methinks she is dodging real life politics because of her incompetence. I don't think it will make much difference if she is out of Alaska or not, given her inability to govern.

Brent   April 13th, 2009 1:05 pm ET

It's not about permission. It's about priorities.

Emma, San Jose   April 13th, 2009 1:05 pm ET

Palin's escape is sort of like McCain's rush to Washington to "fix" the economy. Let it rest, Sarah. We have been killing alive soldiers and Iraq citizens with no holds barred.

Fred the Moderate   April 13th, 2009 1:05 pm ET

It's all, as suspected, political. She just wants to duck being there when their legislature approves an override to her veto of stim. money. She's a fake all they way to the soles of her shoes.

Anna Lynne   April 13th, 2009 1:05 pm ET

As a Canadian, I cringe when Palin rears her head and flies over our airspace to get to the lower 48 to promote herself

TBA   April 13th, 2009 1:04 pm ET

This another way for her to run away from her problems in the state. She is basically, trying to set her self up for a run at the White House, it to show you how much she actually cares what happen to her state and how much she really wants to help her state.

Rich   April 13th, 2009 1:04 pm ET

LOL! Too funny, people criticizing Sarah for being away one day, when it was prearranged. How much time of Oblunder's Senatoral stint was spent "on the road" campaigning! Go Sarah.

You are comparing apples to oranges. These brave men and women were not drafted to join the military; They "volunteered" for it.

Ken in NC   April 13th, 2009 1:03 pm ET

Gov. Palin said, 'Please, don't make me feel that I have to ask you permission, lawmakers, to leave the capital city.' " WOW. I am not an Alaska Lawmaker but as far as I am concerned, she does not need to ask permission. She can go anytime and never return and she would be doing the citizens of Alaska a big favor.

Will this Village Idiot ever get the message that she is an ineffective Gov. pretending to be a leader?

Mike   April 13th, 2009 1:03 pm ET

Sarah would be like a breath of fresh air as President, as opposed to the ObamaNation we now have to tolerate.

Lynne   April 13th, 2009 1:00 pm ET

Actually...I meant to say "Be careful what you vote/ask for ! "

Joseph, Los Angeles California   April 13th, 2009 12:59 pm ET

As always, it's about Palin, not the state of Alaska.

Brett from Oriskany,VA   April 13th, 2009 12:58 pm ET

Oh,Sarah, Give it up, already. You are not a presidential contender and everyday your soap opera life and blatant political selfishness make you look more and more the fool.

JakeW   April 13th, 2009 12:57 pm ET

Many here in Alaska have started using the acronym GINO for Sarah Palin. She is Governor In Name Only. She has failed to produce any sort of tangible accomplishments and the ethics violations continue to mount up. She has wasted Alaskan money on a pipeline plan that has no real chance to be built and then pretended to a national audience that a pipeline is being built. So it is no suprise that Palin has again abandoned her gubernatorial duties to pander to her base.

Emma, San Jose   April 13th, 2009 12:56 pm ET

What a dodge on her part! Not a sign of a strong leader to cop out on the issue of helping Alaskans financially.

Chris - VM   April 13th, 2009 12:55 pm ET

This is how she would be if she were ever to get in the WH.

Not caring about the people who put you there to do your job.

Time for Term Limits   April 13th, 2009 12:54 pm ET

Palin is right. The Alaskan legislators are completely unreasonable in requesting that Palin stay in Alaska for the last 3 days of the session. Why would Palin need to stay in Alaska? To show leadership on important pending legislation? Obviously going to a pro-life dinner is a far more important part of her duties as Alaska governor.

VGal   April 13th, 2009 12:54 pm ET

I hope the Republican commentators are right! I hope Palin is the GOP presidential candidate in 2012! I haven't had a really good laugh since the elections.

I find myself addicted to reading stories about this woman – just to see how she butchers her sentences.

Get Over It   April 13th, 2009 12:53 pm ET

To MU – President Obama was not on vacation in Europe. He and a few other world leaders were at the G-20 Summit. What was he supposed to do, stay home? I for one am quite proud of our President who quite obviously can handle several tasks at once. Any President who has the guts to issue an order to stand up to and take out these despicable pirates – on Easter Day no less – has my vote!!

grey fox   April 13th, 2009 12:52 pm ET

Well, she doesn't have to ask permission. She is a grown up. She can wander off at a critical time and do some agenda-driven activity and ignore her state if she wants. It does, umm, make me wonder what she might do is she was ye olde commander in chief. Might go shopping or talk to the Sacramento bee keepers during a national crisis. But, then, she doesn't have to ask permission. She is a grown up.

Branden   April 13th, 2009 12:52 pm ET

Glad to see that she's still incapable of forming a grammatically correct sentence.

Bleep   April 13th, 2009 12:49 pm ET

You Wait and See.....
I bet there will be an all out effort to destroy whom ever the GOP picks to run against Obama in 4 years. Gov. Palin is getting it now because she is the most hopfull of the party. Bobby Jindal was slammed big time when he made some followup comments, he also is a hopeful. Whoever is picked will face an all out frenzie to destroy them in same manner as Gov. Palin faced right after her acceptance speech in Ohio....you wait and see. Then we the people need to decide if we will be manipulate to hate someone by these sleazy propoganda experts.

debee   April 13th, 2009 12:48 pm ET

Sarah Palin may have the title of Gov., but her only goal is to promote herself and her scary agenda. She is a walikng double standard

Robert   April 13th, 2009 12:48 pm ET

Palin's Priorities = Personal ambition first, Alaskan citizens second.

thomas young   April 13th, 2009 12:47 pm ET

I am an independent pro-choice and pro-gay marriage libertarian kind of a guy who like Sarah Palin a lot and support her wholeheartedly because if both political parties are attacking her, she must be doing something right. Besides, the people who have elected her still love her.
Above 60% approval according to three latest polls, including the liberal Daily Kos. Alaska has no budget deficit because the governor had set up a rainy day fund two years ago for emergency such as an economic down turn the rest of the country and the world is going through. Certainly Alaska is doing better than New York and California. She is a very smart person, indeed, with a great foresight. Not much you can say about other politicians of either party.

Hypocrite hater   April 13th, 2009 12:47 pm ET

The Sarah Palin Comedy Express rolls on!

lynnrockets   April 13th, 2009 12:47 pm ET

Ms. Palin is her own worst enemy. I cannot recall the last politician that has managed to hurt his/her credibility so much every time that he/she opens her mouth or takes action. She allows her daughter to go on television and the daughter immediately discredits Palin's "abstinence only" policy. Then its. "I won't take the stimulus funds", followed by, "I will take the stimulus funds." Next we had, "Stevens should resign", which later became "Begich should resign", and has now become, "I never called for Begich to resign." I swear, she must need those "special" shoes so that she doesn't fall down when she tries to walk.

Leah DiMarco, Texas   April 13th, 2009 12:47 pm ET

Alaska needs to keep Palin up there in Alaska – we don't want or need her down here in the lower 48.

Sharon   April 13th, 2009 12:46 pm ET

Wasn't this Stimulus package now to be voted on the very same one that only a few weeks ago Palin was in the press adamantly opposing and squawking about at the top of her lungs (to get the cameras attention)? Yea, way to go "hardworking and dedicated governor", show that determination to do what is best for the citizens of Alaska-run baby run!!!!!!!!

AK Lisa   April 13th, 2009 12:45 pm ET

As an Alaskan I am completely disgusted with our Governor who has completely abandoned her AK constituents (no I did not vote for her) for her ultimate dream goal of being President of the United States. Alaska needs this stimulus money and she is playing queen, saying the stimulus should replace the allocated budget $. Her incompetence and hunger for power is sickening. AK needs the stimulus money as much as any other state, and she'd rather go and play queen of sheba to the Rush Limbaugh's of this country, than to stay and do her job. Palin, your self serving agenda has not gone unnoticed, and I cannot wait until you are not longer Gov.

HouseDiva   April 13th, 2009 12:45 pm ET

Hypocrites.... I hope that they are not serving any MEAT at this pro-LIFE dinner.

Al   April 13th, 2009 12:45 pm ET

Last fall, Sarah Palin was the victim of the most despicable hit job in U. S. political history. Her crime? She was a pro-life woman selected as the running mate for a great patriot but unfocused and poor campaigner. I can hear the Obama team now: "She is a bigger threat than McCain. We we will just have to destroy her." And so they did. And keep on doing. It demonstrates the mean-spiritness at the heart of the Obama operation (Rahm Emanuel, David Plouffe, Robert Gibbs, and David Axelrod). Don't these gentlemen now have more important things to do?

Millie W   April 13th, 2009 12:45 pm ET

Governor Palin is unfortunately not qualified to be Governor . She is too busy pushing her agenda regarding birth control. The republicans would be better off without Gov. Palin on their national stage.

Henry   April 13th, 2009 12:44 pm ET

Sarah Palin gets more free news than anyone I know ,you love her or hate her. People just think about it every time she is mentioned it's hit time I will she gets more hits than any other person in Politics. I personally think she gets picked on because you Noboma people are scared to death she will run in 2012.

John   April 13th, 2009 12:43 pm ET

The conservative right need to understand that Palin is NOT the answer to their prayers in terms of leadership. Nothing this woman says or does seems to convince people she is capable of any government job outside of Alaska. And now, after all these excuses as to why she can't attend DC events for the people she wants to be supported by, she goes to a dinner in Indiana for pro-life despite pro-choice being the law of the land.

JML   April 13th, 2009 12:42 pm ET

LOL, this is a joke right? CLEARLY the woman is only interested in herself. So let it be, she is afterall the GOP's up and coming.......................republican-FAILURE.

Tim, PA   April 13th, 2009 12:42 pm ET

Hey, liberals that fear and love to hate Palin (i.e. 100% of you), how do you explain that she has the highest approval rating for governor in the USA? Don't you think that these attacks against her just.. might... be politically motivated? What do you think about the uniter Obama being rated the most polarizing president? Enjoy your time in the sun... it won't last.

Judith   April 13th, 2009 12:41 pm ET

The left is not scared of Palin; she's good comedy, sort of like watching Seinfeld and seeing how they continued to screw things up and get themselves in hot water! So we watch her, cringe at her stupid remarks and wait with baited breath for the next serious faux pas! She is soooo history but we can't stop watching her antics! No one takes her seriously anymore and I am from Alaska!

Matt   April 13th, 2009 12:40 pm ET

I'm not sure where Republicans are getting the idea that us liberals are scared of Palin! I'm praying EVERYDAY that this woman gets the 2012 Presidental GOP nomination!! There's no better way to ensure an Obama VICTORY!! She's a joke – and the nation knows it! The more she stays in the news the worse she looks!

Please Sarah RUN RUN RUN!!

Go Obama 2012!!

SJ Johnson   April 13th, 2009 12:40 pm ET

Another right to lifer that owns a gun....figure that one out!

Biased   April 13th, 2009 12:40 pm ET

This blatant and unwarranted hatred towards this woman is pitiful. The woman accepted the nominee for VP and from that moment on it has been the zealous pursuit of media and democrats to trash this woman whenever they get the chance. I am disgusted with this vendetta no matter what the Governor does to paint her in the worst possible light. This sick obsession with making sure she is somehow ridiculed at every moment is deplorable.

Big Al C.   April 13th, 2009 12:37 pm ET

Bobby Jindal and Palin in 2012 the only hope the GOP has. Sarah you keep shaking it and flashing them winks babe. She has the moves and Bobby knows the countries volcano needs. What a pair Alaska and Louisana have a couple of governors who have real conservative virtues that can not be jeopardized. These states will protect there unemployed from federal money. These governors can say NO to the president. They have real republican values, they will side with all the republican senators who voted against help the amercian people. These governors stood with the senators as they voted to send billions of more dollars to Iraq. Because they are real Patriots, the ones who will send our tax dollars to foreign countries for infrastructure. While our taxpayers at home suffer from transportation, housing, energy, labor, and health needs.

doug   April 13th, 2009 12:37 pm ET

All this hatred for her taking one day to go speak of pro life.Has anyone seen our democratic govenor of Kansas Kathleen Sebelius?.Last seen in Kansas early Nov.

Dominick Sorrent   April 13th, 2009 12:36 pm ET

I think Sarah Palin has a lot of courage when constantly confronted with those who do not respect life. They want Palin out because they are afraid of her standing for the truth. She has a lot of common sense that most of the world doesn't understand. Most are out of touch with reality.

Give her a break.

Phil MN.   April 13th, 2009 12:36 pm ET

I hope Sara leaves plenty of condoms at home for her daughters while she is away at the pro-life rally .

what   April 13th, 2009 12:35 pm ET

So, she uses the "demands of the state's legislative session" as an excuse to not participate in one event in Washington, but when the legislative session REALLY needs her she leaves it for a dinner in Indiana? Also

Evan   April 13th, 2009 12:35 pm ET

To all the folks acting so astounded and dismayed that Palin is in the news again or that so many people seem to take an interest, I have a question: When was the last time YOU turned away from a hideous accident on the side of the road? This disgusting corpse is just too entertaining.

DJ   April 13th, 2009 12:34 pm ET

I am surprised about all those ranting about the governor leaving for 36 hours, when they said diddly when most of the legislature left for 10 days to visit DC IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SESSION WHEN THE GOVERNOR WANTED TO INDTRODUCE SOME NEW BILLS TO HELP ALASKANS! Unless you read more than just the lamestream media, you don't get the real picture. The governor wanted to introduce energy legislation, but the legislature complained that they did not have time for it.

MU   April 13th, 2009 12:34 pm ET

What about the timing of obama's European vacation as the economy falls apart?stop the smear campaign against palin and focus on the real problem in the white house.

Cruzan Obama Mama   April 13th, 2009 12:32 pm ET

This is why her kids were able to run wild in AL. She is more concern about staying relevant in the political community, thank actually doing her job.

It can also be that all the stunts she has played are not turning out as she planned and now she has to actually work. Putting Levi out there to complete her daughter's wholesome image, well now Levi is speaking out.....Stating that she is not going to take the stimulus money, but filing the necessary papers to get it after pressure from people in her state. Then there is the little matter of criminal family members that are stealing from the same house twice. INTERESTING.

Repubs is she still the prize that you thought she was or a walking disaster/time bomb?

Joyce E Neal   April 13th, 2009 12:32 pm ET

Again, when is the media going to cut the cord? Gov Palin is doing "by any means neccessary" to remain a headline item. The media should realize that she is not ever going to be President, so please let her go.

Farrell, Houston, Tx   April 13th, 2009 12:32 pm ET

Palin first, Alaska last. If Alaskans haven't figured this out by now they are doomed. Indiana sure doesn't need her and Alaska falls in the same category.

MICHAEL   April 13th, 2009 12:31 pm ET

And Alaskans elected her. She's a disgrace to politics.

GOP = 21st century dodo   April 13th, 2009 12:30 pm ET

Wonder what John Mccain is thinking, had he won she would have chased him right out . That woman has her mind on one thing only to be the President Of The United States. Oh God just the thought.

Sigrid Johnson   April 13th, 2009 12:29 pm ET

Why can't she just keep her mouth shut and disappear, she is an ignorant, ambitious woman who will take advantage of every position that she is faced with. Her family is no example to our young people in this country and she should not appear that everything is okay with the way she is raising them, maybe if she spent more time with her children instead of chasing her political ambitions her children would be better off.

Enough is enough, this country has enough problems to solve without spending time figuring what next is she going to get involved with.

Karla   April 13th, 2009 12:28 pm ET

Why isn't this woman gone from our lives? She is the worst lawmaker I have ever seen next to W. and Cheney. Get her off the stage!

tcaudilllg   April 13th, 2009 12:28 pm ET

I can't really blame her. I mean really what ideas can she really bring over there anyway? My advice to her: sell her soul to Obama.

Sam   April 13th, 2009 12:27 pm ET

She's the governor and she can do as she pleases at the risk of her career, but surely she must understand that making this appearance with only 72 hours left in the legislative session is going to create dissention not only in the state she's supposed to be governing but in her own political party as well. At the rate Governor Palin's going I don't see her as a viable presidential candidate for the GOP in 2012 or in any other year for that matter. She's obviously too interested in a job she doesn't currently hold and can't run for to do the job the people of Alaska elected her to do.

OUT OF CONTROL   April 13th, 2009 12:27 pm ET

Sarah should stay home and get her frustration out due to Levi's battle of words, go shoot a moose or something. Right to life is a great organization but your constituents are priority one, that's why they elected her. You all know that this woman loves the spotlight and will do anything to be in it even battling Levi and his family publically. She is deserving of criticism she is the one who Paraded this boy all through the campaign.

How did she get elected?   April 13th, 2009 12:25 pm ET

I think she will run for a senate seat instead of governor

Palin Power   April 13th, 2009 12:24 pm ET

Palin WILL become President. This is the start of her inevitable rise and victory.

Michael J. C. Taylor, Kansas City   April 13th, 2009 12:23 pm ET

Governor Palin is only just now finding that trying to be a working public servant and an ambitious politician are imcompatible. Perhaps if she spent a little less time politicing, and a lot more time actually governing, she would build a serious reputation as an administrator that would put her in good stead for 2012. As it stands now, she is just another hack whose ambition doesn't measure up to her exerience.

Parnell Meagre   April 13th, 2009 12:22 pm ET

It's nice to see they are finally figuring her out but heaven help the rest of us! Shame on John McCain for ever thinking putting her on the ticket. Once you have opened Pandora's box...................

Lois   April 13th, 2009 12:21 pm ET

We need to put Palin, Cheney, Rove and Rush on a slow boat to.. Somalia. They belong together, enough said.

Jim   April 13th, 2009 12:21 pm ET

Why rip on Palin? After all, I enjoy cartoon characters!

david, CA   April 13th, 2009 12:19 pm ET

this woman is political toast.

Tulsa L   April 13th, 2009 12:19 pm ET

I don't understand the Republicans that are Pro-Life..... but are still for this war that is killing our men and women on a daily or weekly basis .....and Stem Cell studies that could save lifes , they are against it......doesn't make sense, to me is sounds like they are talking out of both sides of their mouths.....where is their PRO-Life on these issues

carolyn   April 13th, 2009 12:19 pm ET

She's still campaigning and not for an office representing Alaska.

Lee in Oregon   April 13th, 2009 12:18 pm ET

And to think that there are those that still feel this woman would be capable of being president of the United States......gimme a break!

Carl Justus   April 13th, 2009 12:17 pm ET

If Palin was really worried about the massive national republican debt she would refuse all the money.

Why are her and Sanford of South Carolina accepting any of it if they are worried about the debt that last three republicans put on the American people by giving massive tax cuts to richest while invading a country half way around the world that had nothing to do with 9/11.

It is time to call it what it really is they do not want to give the poor a chance to have a decent meal, or heat, or even a place to live in a house that can keep out the weather.

Mike   April 13th, 2009 12:15 pm ET

Let's see...Gov Palin does __________ and somebody complains. Gov Palin does the opposite of ___________ and somebody complains. Gov Palin takes a breath the wrong way, and somebody complains. Gov Palin says something and somebody complains; Gov Palin doesn't say something, and somebody complains....anyone see a trend here?

PaulP   April 13th, 2009 12:15 pm ET

Now Now, I am not a Sarah Palin, Fan, Nor do I ever want to be, But some times you just have to give a person a break. This Conference is important to Her, Sarah, told the State Legislators she was going.
Now if the Legislators can not finish there duties on time, thats the Legislators problem. Sarah, can be reached by cell phone, fax, email, lets face it people, she's leaving Alaska for Indiana, not the moon.
Unless the Alaska Legislators can not act without Sarahs, hand holding they should step aside, and let some who can lead, Lead!!
Just trying to be fair.

KG, Twin Cities   April 13th, 2009 12:15 pm ET

She needs to be in Alaska so she can focus on more important issues like public dragging her grandson's father through the public mud.

Roger   April 13th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

How much more of this woman do we have to endure. She's had her 15 minutes, she was not competent enough to be VP in 2008 and she certainly, if anything, will be less competent to be POTUS in 2012. She needs to do what the citizens of Alaska elected her to do – be their Governor and stop running around promoting her own agenda! Levi was right-on!!

David   April 13th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

There are many GOP Presedential hopefuls in 2012 and all are trying to get their name out in front of potential supporters. What troubles me is that they all seem to be tripping over themselves to get support from the dingbat wing of the party. Isn't there a thoughtful, pragmatic side to the Republican party that some one can appeal to?

keepcampaigning   April 13th, 2009 12:12 pm ET

I hope the republicans choose her to run agains Pres Obama in 2012.
That will be good entertainment.

Joe Unger, San Francisco   April 13th, 2009 12:12 pm ET

Go Sarah!!!
She is extremely popular in Alaska despite all the wishful thinking of the Obamamaniacs. Also, it has become obvious the nation loves news anything Palin. The Palin stories here always get lots of comments, especially from Obamamaniacs who claim they don't care about here. Go figure that one out.
This story is another saggy one; the legislators are supposed to working out the details. But these days, any bit of criticism, warranted or not, can be the basis for a story! Why is Obama spending so much time figuring out a dog, huh?

Dutch/Bad Newz, VA   April 13th, 2009 12:11 pm ET

Why are these GOP governors having a change of heart all of a sudden in regards to the stimulus money? A volcano erupted in Alaska a few weeks ago and Palin only wants to accept a third of the money. That's really looking out for the people who elected you Sarah. You should be ashamed of yourself for putting your political ambitions ahead of what's right by the people of Alaska.

Michael   April 13th, 2009 12:10 pm ET

Man I hope she runs for President in 2012. SNL could use the boost.

Ed   April 13th, 2009 12:09 pm ET

At least this, not to be VP hasn't been caught lying like the idiot in office now. Still, no matter how you slice it, she does have a lot more experance then the President, but then again, he runs the office by committee. Also seems to me with the crises this country is in, should the President be running off to all these commencement speches, or is that OK with Liberials? Seems to me to be the same thing, OK for you, but not for everyone else. Like the President, "do as I say, not as I do"

SJ Johnson   April 13th, 2009 12:09 pm ET

Like most Republicans, Sarah Palin would sell her sole to the devil (if she hasn't already) if it means staying in the national spotlight. She needs to pay more attention to her own family rather than continue to be a disfunctional mother. Children learn from watching their parents.....poor kids.

Baze   April 13th, 2009 12:08 pm ET

what a surprise silly sarah is back in the news

Jamie   April 13th, 2009 12:08 pm ET

OMG. so she just pretty much flipped off her constituants on her way out the door and snarled that she doensn't need anybody's permission to leave the state and concentrate on the State's business at a crucial time but instead headline a pro-lifer dinner.

Now that's leadership!

jake   April 13th, 2009 12:07 pm ET

but Jesus wants her to be in Indiana!

Pete   April 13th, 2009 12:06 pm ET

Palin is trying to distract people from the fact that her "controversial" attorney general nomination publicly stated that men should be able to rape their wives, openly associated with white supremecists, and threatened to take away Alaskan natives' federal rights. If Palin withdraws his nomination, the lunatic right will crucify her. If she manages to get this guy confirmed, his statements and writings and speeches will be her "Rev. Wright" for the next three years.

USAF Staff Sergeant   April 13th, 2009 12:06 pm ET

What do you expect?! She doesn't care about being governor anymore! She wants to stay in the spotlight.

Dawn   April 13th, 2009 12:05 pm ET

Palin in case you missed it the lawmakers are asking you to stay and do your job. I know it's hard for anyone to understand why they would want you there but since you're suppose to be the state leader it does seem wrong that you wouldn't be there to try and work out a compromise on the stimulus money as the legislative session comes to and end. I guess the lure of starting your presidential campaign is just too much.

Larry from Apex, NC   April 13th, 2009 12:05 pm ET

Sarah Palin and the Clintons are the same: they all love the mirror!!

rachae   April 13th, 2009 12:03 pm ET

There is no way she is presidental quality. I laugh when the rebulicans keep saying the left fears her and that is why she is in the news. NO it is because she keeps making news.................similar to to the governer from Illinois.

Al   April 13th, 2009 12:03 pm ET

How much time did The Great One B.H.O. actually spend in the Senate during the 2 years he was campaigning for President? I didn't hear anyone criticizing that decision. Remeber the famous quote during the financial crisis when the press asked if he was going back to Washington for the TARP negotiations? "They can call me if they need me". Let's just stop with the political double standard because she is a conservative woman. unless you are a citizen of Alaska you shouldn't even care.

I hope Palin runs in 2012 if for no other reason than to watch the liberal syncophants heads spin when she wins!

j   April 13th, 2009 12:03 pm ET

Stick by your true "Maverick" Republican principles and reject all stimulus money from this wildly spendthrift bunch of Democrats. -------– OOPS !!!! That`s right , the economy was already in the crapper when the Democrats regained control of Congress and the Presidency. Sarah, you just might as well go shopping.

Scott the Independent   April 13th, 2009 12:02 pm ET

Kinda hard trying to play Governor and campaign is it Sara – now that you went national about how great you are at organizing and leading your state expects you do to just that.

Edward Blake   April 13th, 2009 12:02 pm ET

Sarah Palin is the Paris Hilton of politics.

She doesn't matter. Her 15 minutes are over. Why is everyone still talking about her?

Dean   April 13th, 2009 12:02 pm ET

It's all about Sarah now. She's a star you know

ZELDA   April 13th, 2009 12:02 pm ET

Gooooooo Sarah!!!

And by the way, Chipster, morality cannot be legislated–it is a product of the heart. People who have been educated in our government schools have a hard time understanding this–it involves thinking for themselves and that has been "bred" out of them.

Greg Smith, Clifton Heights PA   April 13th, 2009 12:02 pm ET

She is doing the same thing that Barrack Obama has done except she is more qualified.

Sam   April 13th, 2009 12:02 pm ET

As I have said again and again! Why can't anyone see though this woman's charade and realize that she is not ready for leadership!
Pailin is so full of her self and double talk it's not laughable anymore – let her go on her way – she has never been engaged on any level as a governor – or a a viable candidiate anyways!

"Among the Republicans' biggest complaints: Palin is disengaged from the legislative process. There have been multiple complaints that Palin administration officials won't take positions on bills, including any indication about whether the governor is likely to sign bills that make it through the process. [...] "

It stil baffles me that this woman is a governor! Jerry Springer can you please call Sarah – we need her off of the national Policial scene immediately! Sick of Drama Queen Sarah with her so call fake family values!

Al Mellen   April 13th, 2009 12:01 pm ET

Palin must think she is something like Elvis Presley,,,,,,,however Elvis did have talent. Palin has the mouth minus the talent. Go for it Sarah,,,,,,,,,this is the best the republican party can offer. She also may be a better hunter than Cheney,,,,,,although she has shot herself in the foot more than once.,,,,,,and that was with her mouth.

Robert   April 13th, 2009 12:00 pm ET

Hopefully, the people of Alaska will think twice about giving her another term, but I am afraid that she is popular there as the home town girl in the same way that W. is somehow popular here in Texas no matter what he has done.

When people want to look the other way, they will do it easier than you might think possible.

Jeff W.   April 13th, 2009 11:59 am ET

What amuses me the most is that she is so strident about her pro-life position yet she has a special needs child and a 17-year old with a newborn. Keep pushing that pro-life, ultra-conservative agenda, Sarah, it really seems to be working for you. Keep up the abstainance chatter as well and perhaps teens will stop having sex. How did someone so obviously intellectually limited achieve this kind of political fame? Oh yeah, it was McCain's first big decision as a presidential candidate.

KMP   April 13th, 2009 11:58 am ET

Didn't she give obama a hard time for missing out on important session dates? Oh I guess it just does't apply to her when it is to her benefit now does it, can we all say hypocrite.

Laughing @ Liberal Flock   April 13th, 2009 11:58 am ET

So let me make sure I understand this. The two "thorny" issues are items that the State Legislature has to finish, and they need Gov. Palin to what...hold their hands? Her position on those two items are known and it sounds like the Legislature hasn't come up wih any kind of counter proposal for her to consider, and they simply need to vote on her nominee. Please! That is so weak. Stop trying to tear the woman down...you're trying too hard and it's making you look so bad!

Joe in Austin   April 13th, 2009 11:57 am ET

Imagine her as President.

Wasilla Hillbilly   April 13th, 2009 11:56 am ET

that sucking sound you heard? that was the GOP's chances of beating obama in 2012 going down the tubes.

Lynn   April 13th, 2009 11:56 am ET

Thank God this woman isn't a heart beat from the presidency!!

Lori   April 13th, 2009 11:56 am ET

Wow. And the Republicans wanted us to believe that this woman was qualified to run this country? They complain about our President not being focused but this woman can't even stay focused on the problems in her own State.

At the Convention Mrs. Palin should have actually said, 'I guess being a governor is kinda like being a community organizer, except the community organizer actually gets the job done.' Governor Palin, get to work!

AP in Illinois   April 13th, 2009 11:56 am ET

Everybody just stop criticizing Sarah Palin. Can't anyone see that she is putting all that 'executive experience' to work? She knows what she is doing.

Freed_From_W   April 13th, 2009 11:56 am ET

Sarah Palin: because killing soldiers is ok, but God help you if you touch those stem cells....

Paul C   April 13th, 2009 11:55 am ET

What is wrong with the people in Alaska???

Wake up Alaska!!! See the truth about this self serving woman.

chuck   April 13th, 2009 11:55 am ET

Palin never met a pronoun she didn't like. My daughter, SHE is pretty. My house, IT is big. Our president, HE is a democrat. She even did it in this story except she revesed the pronoun with the noun. She says, "Don't make me feel that I have to ask your permission, LAWMAKERS, to leave the capital city." This drives me insane and I was hoping that the American public would recognize this terrible habit back during the campaign. I guess they did.

David   April 13th, 2009 11:55 am ET

I think someone needs to decide if they are a elected Governor or running for President in 2012 and just make the choice now and stop wasting Alaskan Taxpayers time and money, they elected her, not Indiana or this country as a whole, just the state on Alaska voters.

Anthony, Berkeley, Calif   April 13th, 2009 11:53 am ET

You know, with as many problems there are in the US and the world, and having an inexperienced Marxist President, you'd think there would be more important things to put on this than Gov. Palin.

The only reason I think CNN and the main stream media keep hammering her and her family is because the liberals can't stand a good looking female politician. They are intimidated by her and have a severe inferiority complex (democrates do).

Mississippi Mike   April 13th, 2009 11:53 am ET

Oh, please. They can't blame her for their inability to get their work done on time. She's on record on both issues and will be back before they dismiss. If this is the worst thing Alaskans have to worry about, they've got it pretty good.

Dave in Ohio   April 13th, 2009 11:53 am ET

I'm sure everything Tim Kaine does running around the country is in the best interest of Virginia. Oops, I forgot he's a liberal and it's OK cause nobody will report that.

Jeff W.   April 13th, 2009 11:52 am ET

That's it, Sarah, keep focusing on stupidness and reminding us why we're so thankful you're not the VP. Shudder.

Nikunj   April 13th, 2009 11:52 am ET

This is like any other employee who is leaving one job for another with one foot out of the door. Just because she said she is a pit bull with lipstick, you expected better?

Ken   April 13th, 2009 11:52 am ET

It's all about priorities and hiding out when a vote is taken on the stimulus. That way, she can avoid any personal responsibility.

B   April 13th, 2009 11:51 am ET

Sarah Palin was and continues to be the GOPs Jumping the Shark moment.

Andy in Texas   April 13th, 2009 11:51 am ET

Palin vs. Newt for the primary in 2012. I mean if the GOP is going down, it might as well go down in a spectacular blaze of willfully ignorant, hopelessly stubborn, and destructively arrogant glory.

Sally   April 13th, 2009 11:51 am ET

Palin does as she pleases. She is smitten with herself and is working to promote her national aspirations, never mind her responsibilities to her state!

katiec   April 13th, 2009 11:49 am ET

Have read the various Alaskan newpapers and Sara's popularity
seems to be on the decline.
Her decision to not accept certain stimulous funds, includes many
millions for special needs children. You know, the same that she
was so outraged about when our President misspoke.
What's so sad is people here in the "lower" states even give her
an ounce of attention. She lets her ambition, quest for the limelight
overshadow family and her obligations. What a ridiculous phony
she is.

Robert J   April 13th, 2009 11:49 am ET

Maybe she is just trying to get away from Trig, or Trip or whatever. As usaul she doesn't have both ors in the water!

johnny   April 13th, 2009 11:49 am ET

Wow. She is such a lousy person. She should be asking for their permission to leave, if there is unfinished business that requires her attention. If you don't get your homework done, you can't go to the prom. Whining again about the other events she missed because she "had to work". Get over it. You're a citizen with a job, just like the rest of us.

Proud American   April 13th, 2009 11:48 am ET

Typical......Just keep me in the news at any cost.

Left Coast Mike, Laguna Niguel, CA   April 13th, 2009 11:48 am ET

So when are the good people of Alaska going to get around to recalling this incompetent fool? It should be apparent by now that she cares more about promoting her agenda of theocracy rather than representative government, and clearly, economic issues are way above her head. In California, when we realized we had a governor who was more interested in promoting his own survival than than the best interests of the state that he was elected to govern, we had a recall election and replaced him.

If you folks up there want a kool-aid cultist religious fantatic living off the public trough, that's your business. I know too many Alaskans, however, who have had enough of Palin and her attitude. Do your duty and get the process moving to get rid of her, and don't be intimidated by radical religious extremists, whether they call themselves taliban of the Assemblies of God. You deserve better.

CitizenAJ   April 13th, 2009 11:48 am ET

Governor Palin is riding her moment of fame, but it is more her moment of infamy. The Katie Couric interview revealed to the voting populous a dingbat who should not even be the Governor of a state. She was a major weapon for President Obama's victory in November. I think President Obama would have defeated John McCain no matter what considering the bad image the republicans have left everyone with and the fact that McCain had no real vision for governing the country. But Palin, she help sew up the win evident in states that have voted republican since the 60s voting democrat, Virginia and North Carolina. Plus states that had voted republican more often the last 30 years, Florida, Ohio, Nevada.

I truly hope the stale, dried up, played-out republican party has the idiocy to make Sarah Palin a front-runner candidate for 2012. Talking about laughing it up on election night.

Dan   April 13th, 2009 11:47 am ET

Actally, Sarah has spent most of her time fueding with her daughter's boyfriend and his family. A family that she has tabbed, ' trailer trash '. She is not fit to hold public office anywhere in the United States. She's an embarassment to the citzens of America.

W Spivey   April 13th, 2009 11:47 am ET

The woman should be used as bait on the Deadliest Catch. She is a bit Fishy.

phoenix86   April 13th, 2009 11:47 am ET

Palin will be absent from Alaska for 36 hours. Obama has been absent from leadership since 21 January. Alaska got the better deal.

C W   April 13th, 2009 11:46 am ET

Didn't Palin campaign on her abilities to govern? Why then is she skipping out on the last 3 days of Alaska legislative session?

Answer: Because all she cares about is building her conservative cred by speaking at a pro-life conference.

Wouldn't it be more pro-life to take care of the people who elected her by actually doing the job she's being paid to do?

Andrew   April 13th, 2009 11:45 am ET

Awesome!!!

Dave in Arizona   April 13th, 2009 11:45 am ET

People of Alaska...there is a simple solution. Next election day choose any candidate except Palin. Remember that as she goes off on these long national campaign trips, she will be coming home to more and more grandchildren, so that will be fun to watch...

James Joyce   April 13th, 2009 11:45 am ET

Hey, Palin doesn't need to keep herself in the news, the left does that for her. The left is scared witless of Palin; otherwise, they would just let her fade away.

JUNEAU'S COLD FROZE GOVERNORS COMMON SENSE   April 13th, 2009 11:44 am ET

Heck, Alaska is better off without her presence. The nation needs her making the circuit preaching family values, the virtues of abstinence, and fiscal prudence (having the RNC buy your $150,000 election cycle wardrobe). Perhaps she'll tell the residents of Indiana about the ethics involved in discharging a police officer who refused to be brow beaten over a subordinate trooper who was an ex-brother in law of the Governor of Alaska, and how that resulted in Alaskans spending thousands of dollars on a perfectly appropriate legislative ethics investigation of Gov. Palin; she of the lying type "I sold the state jet on eBay," when she hadn't done so at all.

Lamar in Dallas, TX   April 13th, 2009 11:44 am ET

Sarah,

Enjoy your time in the limelight, because come election day, the people of Alaska are going to toss your butt out of the governor's mansion and into the snow.

B   April 13th, 2009 11:44 am ET

Please Sarah, stay out there in the national spotlight. The Woolly Mammoths venture closer to the tar pit everyday.

George in Alaska   April 13th, 2009 11:43 am ET

Would someone please take her off our hands? She is the epitome of the "it's all about me" personality. She's an embarrassment to this life-long Republican and 40-year Alaska resident.

GOPer   April 13th, 2009 11:43 am ET

Can she put the wheels back on her trailer and disappear?

C W   April 13th, 2009 11:43 am ET

All Sarah Palin cares about is her political future in national politics. What's really sad is how deluded this woman is about her abilities and popularity outside the few weirdo fanatics and sycophants she has following her around.

I feel especially bad for Alaska, not only for her inattentiveness but also for the embarrassment she has caused the state.

Cato   April 13th, 2009 11:43 am ET

Well ALASKA elected her!! They can PUT UP WITH HER ANTICS!!

AB   April 13th, 2009 11:42 am ET

Gump: Palin is as Palin does...sir!

Lyn   April 13th, 2009 11:42 am ET

What a phony!

Ad West   April 13th, 2009 11:42 am ET

The in-fighting continues! Just like a bunch of dogs fighting for scraps. If Palin becomes a presidential candidate in 2012, the GOP becomes a third party.

Ken, Centreville, VA   April 13th, 2009 11:42 am ET

The Pro-War, Pro-Life candidate. Hey, so what, let her go.

JonDie   April 13th, 2009 11:42 am ET

Sarah has tasted the limelight, including the expensive clothing expense account. Now she's governor of Alaska in name only; her celebrity status is what she is interested in promoting.

Chipster   April 13th, 2009 11:41 am ET

Palin is a religious fanatic who wants to legislate morality. So explain to me why anyone is surprised by her priorities. However, today's technology makes it possible for anyone to work and communicate from practically anywhere. I see no reason that she cannot keep up with what's happening in Alaska while she's away. Indiana isn't beyond our universe. Neither is Alaska. Lighten up.

Kate   April 13th, 2009 11:41 am ET

My GOD. The woman simply cannot resist an opportunity to get her face in front of people can she? Let's see, what's more important? Attending a fancy dinner to speak on an issue for which no change is going to be made any time in the near or probably even distant future- OR- be present in a legislative session during which key decisions affecting the state she's supposed to be governing will be made? I guess Sarah's kind of "over" the governor thing. Alaska can take care of itself, eh? The important thing is for her to win more popularity contests so she can try her best to ruin our country's reputation again in four years.

Marie   April 13th, 2009 11:41 am ET

Perhaps the plane will crash and then we can all rest easier.

EBC, MD   April 13th, 2009 11:40 am ET

WHY is this surprising to anyone with a REAL brain?

Governor Sarah Palin is CLEARLY not serving in the "best interests" of her own state. Her constant absence is NOT going un-noticed. HOW can you govern when you are never on the JOB????

AND when you are in Alaska, you do nothing but inciting a "fight-of-words" with a teenager (Levi Johnson) in a "GOSSIP MEDIA" circus!!!

This woman is focused on her own political agenda. She's proven time and time again, her political ambition supercedes EVERYTHING!!! She does NOT care about the needs of thousands of Alaska residents, she couldn't care less. Sarah is ALL about SARAH PALIN, everyone else is just screwed!!

The very fact that she "pimped out" her own children during the campaign race is a CLEAR INDICATION of how GREEDY Sarah Palin is for political power!!

Sarah Palin WANTS to be one of the GUYS and will do everything and anything to get there, including selling out her family and the Governor's office!!

Bob Dog   April 13th, 2009 11:40 am ET

You can't pay for this kind of fabulous entertainment. Its super to see Palin continue to completely disgrace herself and the Republican party. Its so much fun to watch. I predict she will be highlighting her cheap, self-serving superficiality for years to come, while she whines and fusses about press coverage exposing her hypocracy and ignorance. This should be great fun for years to come!!!

FreeNLovIt   April 13th, 2009 11:40 am ET

God bless Palin. She's an American woman and I love her to death, but I will not vote for her for a Prez spot. She failed her first leadership rule, reigning in her daughter. I just cant trust her with 7 billion people. Please pick someone else.

Mike Mundy, Houston, TX   April 13th, 2009 11:39 am ET

Good for Governor Palin. Either way, she will always be "darned if she does or darned if she doesn't". So you liberals here could give a care anyway. She is her own woman. As a Governor, that is the priveledge she's got! Go Away Palin bashers and look in the mirror!

Tim in NC   April 13th, 2009 11:39 am ET

Wake up Alaska,

She has left you all behind. Her eyes are on the White House. She's used you to get what she wants and isn't done yet. You'd be better off with Stevens as Gov. than this 'Holier-than-thou' egomaniac.

Tim   April 13th, 2009 11:38 am ET

Stay home and take care of business in the state that elected you! To put the legislative process on hold so you can start your 2012 (that's funny) run is irresponsible.

Joe   April 13th, 2009 11:37 am ET

She should stay home and send Levi Johnston instead.

Mack   April 13th, 2009 11:37 am ET

If Palin does make the trip to Indiana, it'll be interesting to see which of her children go with her, and what "official business" she'll say they will be on so she can charge their travel to Alaska.

Jeff   April 13th, 2009 11:36 am ET

Palin is a punch line and I am really tired of her. If the Republicans think she is the next best hope for the party then they "REALLY" have lost their way.

JC   April 13th, 2009 11:36 am ET

She isn't part of the legislative branch. She is the executive branch. Does the President stay in the White House while Congress is in session just in case he is needed?

When America learns that Sarah is here for Sarah, we'll all be better off. In respect for Alaska , a super state, you are small potatoes to her now.

Dutch/Bad Newz, VA   April 13th, 2009 11:34 am ET

There she goes again abusing her power. The people of Alaska need to impeach her.

Irma in North Carolina   April 13th, 2009 11:34 am ET

Sarah I hope you brushed up on your speaking abilitys they are not to good. Unless this is hate speech like you gave at your rallys you will do okay then.

chelle   April 13th, 2009 11:34 am ET

Well she sure has her priorities straight – Career before job – but hey she'll be an excellent choice for president in 2012!!!

michaelam   April 13th, 2009 11:34 am ET

oooops, my bad..........I gave three examples. Probably by the end of the day, I will have over a hundred examples! Thanks, Sarah, you make this so easy.

Randy   April 13th, 2009 11:33 am ET

God she is so fake, she will do anything to keep her in the news.

michaelam   April 13th, 2009 11:32 am ET

Note to the residents of Alaska:
I am sure by now, most of you have figured out that your Governor, Ms. Pailin, doesn't really give a rat's culo about you. Speaking at right-wing, conservative events, keeping HERSELF in the public eye, and denying the stimulus money, which will greatly help the people of Alaska, are only two examples of her disregard for her constituents. Alaska is just a launching pad for the great (as I choke) Sarah Pailin. I feel sorry for you..........but remember, Pailin first...........state, family, yada, yada, are somewhere at the bottom of the food chain.

boered1   April 13th, 2009 11:32 am ET

I guess the demands of the legislative session are not so important as she said, or is it that she realized she had lost some of her position as the moral arbitrator (or is it arbitraitor?) after it came out that not only did her daughter mess around before marraige but it occured under her own roof with her tacit agreeement? Typical radical religious rightwing idiot, I ewake up eachmorning and thank GOd that this idiot was not occupying a position anywhere near real power in our country!

Pete   April 13th, 2009 11:32 am ET

Is the kind of "leadership" the American people could expect out of a President Palin? Running off with unfinished business on the table with a passive agressive snark from her press secretary.

Ernesto   April 13th, 2009 11:31 am ET

Oh, yeah, Palin is a real stable management professional. This woman is a disaster that nearly went national. It's a lot of pressure to be somewhere else when the option of becoming a national figure for the GOP is better than her Alaskan reality. Do your job Gov. Palin!

David   April 13th, 2009 11:29 am ET

This is the start of the 2012 Presidential campaign. The State is history as far as she is concerned.

dennisk   April 13th, 2009 11:29 am ET

Haven't the Alaskan legislators figured out by now that the only one Sarah Palin cares about is Sarah Palin?
