(CNN) - President Obama will host a fundraiser for the Senate and congressional campaign committees in June, a Democratic Party source tells CNN.

The event - hosted by both the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee - will take place on Washington, DC, on June 18, though the specific venue has yet to be chosen.

Obama hosted a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee in February which reportedly resulted in a $3 million cash haul.

And where is this money coming from? Is it money from the people? NO! This is money from Wall Street, banking, corporations, special interest groups, PACs, unions, and lobbyists. These Funding groups are buying (bribing) the people's government undermining the rights of the people to have a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
Both the RNC and the DNC are in need of some very large changes, it is time for these elitists to come down from their high horse and remember that they work for us the citizens of the great republic.

Great deal. The less Obama is in the White House focused on the economy the better for all of us.

Big surprise. Who else did you think was going to do it? He is the Campaigner in Chief and will do anything to be able to read his teleprompter in front of a camera.

Of course he will, if asked I'm sure he would headline the Larry King show, Hardball, Countdown, the Tonight Show, David Letterman and probably Science Fiction Theater.

The GOP is like the mythic beast "Hydra". You lop off one head and two more pop up from its place. With so many talking heads, it no wonder that they can't put a coherent message to the American public!

all that "bundling," of funds from foreign sources, huh, OBama?

Try fixing the country instead of running into the ground, blaming it on Bush, and then falsely building it back up into a socialist state. We need to more "tea parties," more protests, and more unity against this trainwreck.

Fund raising, talking, talking, fund raising, campaigning, talking, hand shaking, talking, campaigning, giving big speeches, talking, hand shaking... is there time for actually the president doing the working?
He had an idea: Saving $100 mm now! It is a joke. The inauguration could have had a cut to 40% of its cost and we had it already! What a non-idea, what a disaster, is this Alice in wonderland president or what?

The DNC should research a campaign style fund raiser by holding a convention and take a collection from the participants, plus it would aid the economy of the local area sayDetroit???
