Did Obama forget that while he's swing dancing, we have soldiers at war? I suppose he never served in the military so he can't relate, sorry.

Beautiful. 100 years ago they wouldn't let us in the front door. Now we're living sleeping in the master bedroom. Only in America. I love the USA

I'm an Obama supporter but anytime I see elites gathered at an invitation-only black tie event I get kinda jealous and cranky.

Guess I'll go back to watching my analog TV and snarf down some cheese puffs.

Curled up. Obviously. That's as dumb a comment as I've read in a long time. Keep them coming.

    And this is news because????
He sure does party a lot and he is doing it on our money, he should start cutting back on his bashes. He has asked all of us to spend wisely, he should practice what he preaches.
CNN, you manage to post every things these people do, give it a rest and give us some important news.

    Curled up in a ball,

Just like George Bush.... who had never served in the military before, not because he couldn't but he intentionally escaped from military service. Obama served the Chicago community by receiving a lower pay than his legal profession. Sorry, if you want to use the GOP method to attack our president.... try other means.

It's cute – makes your heart all flustered and stuff.....I guess they deserve to have a little fun – it is so hard out here now – I would love to dance my worries away – it's not harmful to dream!

Dear Curled Up in a Ball: Did Bush forget that he shirked his own war-time military duty when he sent our kids to his made-up war to get killed and maimed? Go curl up and roll yourself to a GOP rally to be with the others who have forgotten the past 8 years.

Curled Up – Wasn't W helping eat McCain's birthday cake instead of seeing to Katrina?

You haters and whiners need a time out – go sit in the corner.

Good to see the Obama's partying away while another 600,000 go into unemployment and his policies are failures.

    Long live the king.

Blacks help build the WH and now the Pres and First Lady is the star of stars in dancing with the stars of America at the WH. I never would have believed it would have happened during my time here on earth.

Go America Go! We are continuing to be a changed nation in big and major ways which is great. We continue to show why we are the leaders of the world. .

Because we are still involved in Iraq, doesn't mean that life does not go on. Shock and Awe and declaring the war won were Bush league moves. During previous encounter we were not asked to eat C-Rations. Don't be so stupid.

You know what, you guys are right. As long as we have soldiers on the battlefield, DANCING IS HEREBY BANNED (and that goes twice for the President)!!!

    ...seriously grow up.

How uplifting to see our President and First Lady showing obvious love and support of each.
To some, they can do nothing right, but the majority of us enjoy and support his family life and his policies. And, we are intelligent enough to ignore their ignorance.

Not sure what all these "does Obama know we have soldiers at war" comments are supposed to mean. Last time I checked, HE didn't send any soldiers anywhere. This is April 2009 – wasn't the "Mission Accomplished" back in March 2003 (over SIX years ago)?!?!

Are we stooping further into the mud when we criticize people for dancing. We are either ignorant or stupid when we do this.

Please! American soldiers are at war because W sent them there. You can try to pin all the problems of our society on the current President but they won't stick. He inherited a mess. I'm thankful anyone of his caliber is willing to serve at this point in our nation's history.

I am amused by the sour grapes of people posting here. All American Presidents go to these functions. I guess because it is a President y'all didn't vote for, he suddenly has to curl up in a ball and avoid social contact?

    Sour grapes...definitely.

For all of us who weren't invited to dance the night away, enjoy the photo shoot because there will be many more to come.
