seriously, is everyone a pundit. just shut it, really who cares about your old right wing ideological opinions. the american people voted for obama just like they did for bush, and just like bush, obama will do what he will, for better or for worse. that is why we have these types of elections. we entrust them to the welfare of our country and us (oh and eventually you elephants will have to get over the fact that most of the country saw that he would be a better leader than mcsame). your idiotic speculations are pointless. hes dancing with his wife SO WHAT?
man oh man am i glad that the republican party is near extinction..

Why are they dancing when so many people have lost their jobs.

What's there to celebrate? It's really bad out here in the real world.

To read the complaints about from this picture, it's obvious that if Obama chose to NOT attend this dance, he could have ended the War in Iraq, stopped the spread of the swine flu, solved the nation's economic crisis, and ended racial prejudice. Yup, he sure had his nerve doing something as frivilous as spending an evening dancing with his wife. It's second only to those awful pictures we saw of him playinig with his kids and new dog on the Whtie House Lawn. Bad Obama.

it's hilarious to read some of these posts. The so-called educated, smart and intelligent right wingers who proclaim that President Obama is wrong on whatever count, should really learn how to spell before posting. It is so refreshing and reassuring to have an intellectual in the White House again. Thank God for this blessing!

There sure are a lot of people of color at that gala. Didn't see that too much when Bush was in office; instead lots of cowboy hats, fur coats, bad tans and overweight obese rosy faced 'Patriots' afraid of all 'Muslims'.

I can't believe the childish and ignorant comments here by the right-wingers. How dare the President attend a gala and dance with his wife? Are you freakin' KIDDING ME? You really think Bush & Laura never attended these functions? Guess again. Need I remind you Bush was the moron who claimed he was "showing solidarity with the families of 9/11 victims" by giving up GOLF? And then, true to form, proceeded not to do so? Where were you for 8 long years?

Bush spent more time on vacation than any other President in history (fact, look it up) and while our country was at two wars. Now we have a President who is actually doing something about our country's problems and the conservative idiots issue petty criticisms like this. After the extreme mess Bush, Chaney & that gang of thugs made of everything they ever touched, you have NO room to criticise.

No wonder your party lost. Get a clue!

Whoever thought this ball was in the last week is a lil slow... that said, everyone, even the pres and family deserve a few hours off on a regular basis. good for overall efficiency, decision making and PMA. The position of President is unique, stressful and important to the nth degree but humans need and thrive from pleasure as well as work.

I think this is a wonderful picture... That's all, no more no less. They are a young dynamic attractive couple. And for those who think they just 'dance away' while the country is at war, etc. My guess is it was more like a dance or two and then back to work... 24/7 with just the very few moments that can be stolen with his lovely wife. I don't think he forgets for a moment the enormous responsibilites he has. I'm so proud that I voted for him and I pray the God helps guide him in this very difficult job that he has.

The desperation of the radical, racist right is disgusting. You are transparent. All of your attempts at ruining this wonderful snapshot in time are wasted.

    God bless the Obama family.

I love how some people will not acknowledge it took 8 years of a right-wing administration to get into this situation, but they expect us to be out of this economic recession after only 100 days of clean up time. Seriously people, it takes longer than 100 days to clean up an 8 year old mess. Last time I checked, Bush regularly checked out of the West Wing by 5ish and was in bed by 9ish (daily). This administration works MUCH later hours, so if at the end of those late working days he wants dance a little... God bless him, and let him do it. Some of you really need to get over yourself. It's sad how unintelligent some of this country is. You make us look bad.

It is really ridiculous that people hold this mindset that the president is not allowed to do anything recreational as long as there are problems in America. He has a family and a life just like the rest of us, and it is absolutely unfair to him to set these unreasonable expectations. President Obama having some fun every once in a while is not going to send our country to the pits.

Wow,, they are dancing , who cares. I can't believe how so many think he is STILL doing a good job..What can't you read,, listen to what he has and is going to do.. Lets talk at the end of his four years.. then lets see what you think..

Oh those shouder blades and all that hip? I just love the camera angle. Yep enjoy it while you are at it. The next 100 days is right around the corner and still no economic progress in sight but unbelievably unecessary distraction with the call for an inquiry commssion to look into the criminal intelligence report. Where is the focus?
