I am so proud of being an American now that Mr. and Mrs. Obama are our first couple. Mr. Obama is a great leader (not perfect, but real). I am so proud that I've cancelled my plans to move to Canada or England...LOL!

Oh it's Camelot again. Just like the Kennedys. I'm so excited. Just seeing their majesties together makes me moist. Let it never stop.

    Dear Geri,
The President could not have stopped the photo of him in swim trunks from being published. Freedom of the press would have been argued clear up to the Supreme Court, and the Court would have ruled in favor of publication. If you really don't know this is true, you ought to get out more.

I'm sure the Bushes went to balls just as the Obamas are doing. People went to dances during WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Grenada incursion, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, WWI, Desert Storm, and every other military operation the US has been involved in, probably including General Washington and the Revolutionary War. Get your head out of - er - the sand and read a little history.

Man..yall are hilarious and DUMB...this was taken MONTHS ago at the Governors Ball...which is a TRADITIONAL event after a newly elected President takes office....so Obama did not "THROW A PARTY" while the rest of the country is in crisis..he was doing what EVERY OTHER PRESIDENT has done and it was his RIGHT to do so....

Get a life folks....it's Sunday...stop being hateful and bitter at least ONCE in your life...

The correct question should be why they are showing this photo now months after the event.....

To all the Nay sayers, get involved and try to make a difference in the world instead of back biting and whining. There is so much to do to get the country back on track. Either get with the program or "GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY". The constant whining from the party of No is getting on my nerves.

When God blesses, He blesses indeed. I love the way they express their love for each other. Dreams come true people. And there are still good marriages. God continue to bless the first family and give the president the wisdom and humility to rule your people

President Obama and his family absolutely warm my heart. After eight disappointing years, I am happy to see such refreshing, educated people in our executive office.

After reading so many of the posts here, I see that the Republicans are still being sore losers.

I love seeing the Obama's together. Mrs. Obama always makes our president smile. Love is grand!

Debbie, you said "i'd love to see the bill for Mrs. Fashion Plates wardrobe. not to mention all their black tie affairs. is that part of the stimulus package too??"

Mrs. Obama can buy whatever she wants. It is HER money, not yours or other taxpayers. WE do not pay for her wardrobe, food, dry cleaning, or any personal parties the Obamas have. They are presented a bill at the end of the month for their personal expenses. WE only pay for official White House dinners, such as State dinners where the American people are perhaps HOSTING a foreign leader.

    Look it up.

Simply wonderful. President Obama is doing a outstanding job managing the mess he inherited, full speed ahead. The wars, the financial mess and now a outbreak of flu. The correct decision will be made and carried out.

There are many challenges in life (for all of us), thus not excluding the President (Obama). We all must face them with both Joy and Sorrow... but never with living the BAD day in and day out. Give Mr. President a chance, surely, he is more out-going and seen in oublic than our former president. Not everything in any and all Americans life relies on the President, please do your part (each one of us), he is doing his..... Our President.......
With lots of love and Respect, We love you Mr President and First Lady.

    Dear EM Hunt,

Yow, a rant from what I had hoped was the Nazi past. I'll bet you think the Holocaust was all made up. Take yourself to the pictures of General Eisenhower entering the concentration camps and then find evidence that that great military man and Republican President-to-be was a tool of the zionist conspiracy, and then, when you can't find any, go join Curled Up In A Ball.

Or, better yet, read Winston Churchill's 4-volume History of the Second World War.

I don't agree with many of President Obama's policies. He's a socialist and way too radical. It's funny how libs continue to trash President Bush, but if anyone disagrees with Obama and his policies they attack. Very hypocritical!! No matter how different our opinions are from one another, we have the right ,for now to express our concerns and opinions....for now. Too bad your hatred for George W Bush will allow Obama to push through his socialist agenda.

IT'S NICE TO C THAT THE PRESIDENT TAKES TIME TO HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF FUN. HE DESERVES A BREAK NOW AND THEN
AFTER PUTTING UP WITH ALL THE NO SAYERS
MAY GODBLESS HIM HIS FAMILY AND ALL IN AMERICA

It doesn't feel like your typical DC stuffiness...it feels genuine. dancing should be fun and why not enjoy it no matter who you are. This couple is real and they have real love for each other and they have fun fun. he has a very hard job why can't he smile and get down sometimes??? A happy (and smart) president makes for a happy (and smart) country. Amen!

What a beautiful photo. People who don't like Obama are finding any chance they can to bash him, but I see nothing wrong with this photo. Sure, we have people struggling in this country, but that doesn't mean our President shouldn't be allowed to go to a ball. He is the President of the United States, duh! I'm so proud to have Obama as our President. He has done and is doing so much to make America better. I can't think of any other recent President who has done 1/2 in his whole term than this one has done in his first 100 days. God Bless him.

The right wing wackos HATE that the Obamas are competent, smart, and focused...no matter how hard FOx No News, Gingrich, O'Reilley, INgraham, et al, spew their vile hate, the Obamas continue to have the vast majority of the American preople's suport! Calling him a socialist, communist, traitor, etc., hasn't worked...now they have to find another tactic to try and win an election somewhere
