(CNN) – A new national poll suggests that Americans think Vice President Joe Biden's performance deserves a C plus.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday, as the Obama administration marks 100 days in office, asked respondents to use a grading scale of A, B, C, D and F, where A is excellent and F is very poor.

Sixteen percent of those questioned gave the Vice President an A, 31 percent a B, 25 percent a C, 16 percent a D and 12 percent a F. Biden's grade averaged out to a C plus.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted April 23-26, with 2,019 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey's sampling error is plus or minus two percentage points.

F This guy has been in office longer than I have been living and he has made more stupid statements than anyone I can think of yet he is the vice pres. That is the biggest slap in the face for americans.

A

He is a breath of fresh air and he knows what he is doing. He makes me laugh but I know I can trust him

The campaign is over. I give Vice-President Joe Biden an A. While he is not out there in front of the cameras, I believe he is working hard behind the scenes!

A+ for Joe, He is gentle and wiseman

Tippy44   April 29th, 2009 7:50 pm ET

A. He provides sound counsel to the President. At least we see him sometimes unlike the mystery man who preceded him.

Rayford L. Thrasher   April 29th, 2009 7:44 pm ET

I rate Vice President Biden's performance as an "F". He is a divider and not a uniter. He has a problem of engaging his mouth before his brain. I do not trust the man at all. Some of his degrading and deleterious comments he made during the Presidential campaign, especially during the debate with Governor Sarah Palin were disgusting, distasteful and demeaning. He should be ashamed of himself.
