To Bodine/MU, I agree with you totally.

Andrea, Los Angeles   May 4th, 2009 12:27 pm ET

Very cool video.

Why can't people appreciate this for what it is? A lovely video of nature and nurturing. It's Spring!! Whether you're "right" or "left"; red state or blue state, it's just something nice!

If you don't want a break from bad news, then why did you bother viewing this, and why did you take the time to write and complain?

No More Incumbents   May 4th, 2009 12:19 pm ET

I've said all along the Obama was for the birds.......... sorry.

RNC = DNC = politics as usual   May 4th, 2009 11:44 am ET

@ michael "It's ok to smile sometimes"

Thanks for your condescending permission. It is OK to smile but the world has serious problems and there are many Americans out there that still have a superhero view of Obama.

Smiling in a fantasyland is fun but it does not make it reality. I hate to break it to you but all presidents in spring had little birdies flying around DC.

Tulsa   May 4th, 2009 11:39 am ET

Robin,
Seems to me the only hate being spewed is by the far right. I love the birds and the sybology of re-birth of this nation.
Don't you?

Peggy   May 4th, 2009 11:30 am ET

How cute! Even if it isn't hard news, sometimes you just need something to make you smile these days. This is coming from someone who have be unemployed for more than 10 months. I also enjoyed an earlier video of a mother duck and her babies at the White House.

virginia nielsen   May 4th, 2009 11:23 am ET

That's the perfect representation of the reborning of the american people!!! The WH is blooming with life !!!

Robin   May 4th, 2009 11:18 am ET

Wow, even cute little birds at the White House brings out the liberal hate.

Joe the Palin 2012   May 4th, 2009 10:58 am ET

Beautiful change of pace... Nice vid...

Michael   May 4th, 2009 10:54 am ET

Has CNN nothing better to post on its web-site? Has all other news stopped? I admit that it is cute and very springtime, however with all that is going on in our country and the world, get real!

CitizenJane   May 4th, 2009 10:36 am ET

How cute is that? We have a Robin who returns every year. Once the babies leave the nest, she loves to show them off, parading them throughout our yard.

Tulsa   May 4th, 2009 10:34 am ET

Bodine/MU...

...and look at the pretty Robins.

sharon   May 4th, 2009 10:31 am ET

zaoli, you are correct might be a slow newsday... Not here in Michigan though where the car companies are hanging by a thread and a real threat of being destroyed by the government. I will bet there have been plenty of robins at the white house during all presidential terms, the news just does not report any good news when republicans are in the white house. Even a reasonable thinking individual is on to that one.

The Broker.   May 4th, 2009 10:29 am ET

Now wait until: The Fall of the White-House...

PA Dem   May 4th, 2009 10:21 am ET

I know it's not hard-core news...or even political news, but I have to admit that I enjoyed watching the clip. And especially enjoyed the silence - no voice over! Wonderful to see the glory of spring and new life. And I learned something. I didn't know chicks that young could eat that much. That worm was pretty big. Good catch, Mom!

Thebe   May 4th, 2009 10:20 am ET

Great videography. Life attracts life!

Just look at all the renewal at the Obama White House: a passionate couple, smart and beautiful children, a dog, a garden, and baby robins!

Will Work For Sleep   May 4th, 2009 10:14 am ET

Birds, we see them all day long, nothing more to talk about, where are the jobs..........

LISA   May 4th, 2009 9:57 am ET

How cute!

Sheri   May 4th, 2009 9:57 am ET

Very special God's nature one of the many things we appreciate in our good country. Obama families newest friends (smile)

Andi   May 4th, 2009 9:50 am ET

Can't wait for the GOP to find something wrong with this.

Bodine/MU   May 4th, 2009 9:35 am ET

The entire process is a shame..... The American people and even the corporations are over taxed. WHY DOES THIS COUNTRY EVEN EXSIST? OVER TAXATION IN ENGLAND!!!!! And now the US is doing the same exact thing to the American people. There should be a flat rate of 10 – 15% tax of your yearly earnings. Maybe even 15 – 20% for businesses. No more of this crappy TAX system that not even the IRS can understand. And that 10 – 15% would be devided between Federal, State and Local. No more April 15th nightmares, and no more filing tax returns. Take it straight from the payroll and be done with it. But the government won't do this because they can't screw the American people if we have it down to a simple science, and that's what the government does best,,,, SCREWING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. We also need to liminate 50% of the government starting in Washington DC, to scale down the cost of running and throwing away the American tax payers money!!!!!!!!!!! I know this will never happen because I'm just joe the average American and what I say or think doesn't matter to this government!!!!! It doesn't matter if it's Obama or Bush or Reagan or even Kennedy. The American government has always screwed the American people.

ChicagoJim   May 4th, 2009 9:31 am ET

Finally, new life at the White House!

Pat   May 4th, 2009 9:28 am ET

This is clearly a security threat to the White House and to the American people. Even if there is a 1% chance these chicks and thier mother are agents of a foriegn species hostile to The United States, they should be dealt with and eliminated.

-Dick Cheney

JP   May 4th, 2009 9:24 am ET

The media should respect the privacy of the Robin family.

Rose   May 4th, 2009 9:15 am ET

CNN, with all the stuff that is going on in this country I find it unbelievable that you would even consider this article. What a waste of time, give us news, we don't care about the Obama bird.

Adair   May 4th, 2009 9:13 am ET

Very cool! I'll bet Sasha and Malia love watching them!

zaoli   May 4th, 2009 9:12 am ET

Wow, slow news day. But look how nurturing and delightful the Obama's are, I bet robins never took up roost when the republicans were there.
