What's the point in classifying something everybody already knows about?
Oh right, if it's classified then no one can talk about it and the administration doesn't look bad....
where is the transparency Obama?
Ooh, bad move. Can we get a FOIA request cookin' here?
"The most open and transparent government" ever, eh?
Come on... it's a freaking picture of a 747 in-flight... based on what reasoning could they possible classify this image. Release the images.
Bad move and bad precedent.
Why would anyone, all of a sudden, classify photos that were to be released anyway? Do they show someone in the plane that possibly shouldn't have been there? Or someone that said they weren't in the plane, but actually were present? There must be something behind this move.
The US Defence Department constantly drills and conducts military exercises. The incremental cost of this photo was ZERO. The proper authorities were notified. For security reasons, Air Force One's operations are not telegraphed in advance to the whole world, for access by every terrorist or nutcase.
If the New York State and New York City governmental agencies can not collaborate today, I wonder if they learned anything from 9-11.
New York City needs to look in the mirror at its own governance, and to get its own house in order, before it starts castigating others! Mayor Bloomberg should get a grip!
Obama figures that if the photo isn't seen for a long time then we will forget about it....
By the way ........... the chances of BEING KILLED IN A TERRORIST ATTACK IS...............ONE IN 9.3 MILLION!
COMPARED TO: dying from Cancer!
OR dying from the common FLU..... 31,000 Americans DIE EVERY YEAR from the FLU!
People need to get a GRIP! Stop listening to the GOP-fear-mongers!
AND..... ITS A FACT...... that the Pentagon ordered those photos taken!
The fly-by was an error. The photos are a reminder and should be destroyed.
if you did something stupid i'm sure you wouldn't want the photos published. there are plenty of independent photos and vids.
get on with life, all you haters.
