I guess all you far left loons on this site really believe this. The dems are highly unlikely to maintain a majority through the next 2 election cycles.

As in the past, the far left's control over the dim party will cause a backlash and they will be swept from office.

All you "yutes" on this site should stop watching you tube for a little while and pick up a history book.

Yeah, the USSR lasted for around 50 years or so too, didn't it? HMM.

Note the term, "rule." That is exactly what the Democrats (I call them Kingmen) intend to do: RULE. As in Mad King George.

"Those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."
This is what we get for considering the struggles of the Founding Fathers "outdated." They are NOT outdated. We are merely reliving them.

Welcome to a life under tyranny, America. So much for the land of the free–and with all the Democrats running around like cockroaches, it's certainly not the home of the brave. It's the home of the "entitled", the apathetic, the deliberately obtuse, the illiterate, and the fascist.

Remember: the government can only go so far before We the People refuse to tolerate any more and each and every part of the Union declares state's rights (10th Amendment). This is the honeymoon phase, but sooner or later, America is going to realize that they got drunk and married in the metaphorical Vegas–and eventually, they are going to wake up and realize that they are in bed with a monster.

Refiblicans always present this BS "smoke screen" argument about spending when it comes to a budget that invests in America's future. Their (GOP) empty argument is not valid because every Government (Democratic or Refiblican) spends on a budget. When rich Coporate folks refuse to pay taxes behind dishonest or unethical loopoles......that is spending.....from America's collective budget by the absence of what shoud have been contributed to America's tax base. How else can we describe the corrupt sales of fraudelent CDO sub prime mortgage accounts by Wall Street? It's purely a matter of whether the spending will yield returns for ALL America....or the select rich few. The Refiblican ideology (which they'll never publicly admit) is to bankrupt the American Government and middle class, so as to implement their complete privitization of our country to institute a "serf" system for rich and poor with no in control ALL wealth and properity for themselves.

If the democrats stay in power they will never rule to 2049 because this country will be long gone before then if they managed to stay in power.

The Dems had better what happened in 1994, after the assault weapons ban. After the next election it went to the Repubs! Or have they forgotten? None of the constitution and ALL the amendments are never to be tampered with by ANYONE, for any reason. These are sacred words

Now they think they can try this again, but now, the voters are watching carefully. Any attempt to revise the 2nd amendment or any other amendments will give the Repubs a much better chance to regain some more power.

This is in addition of all the problems with the economy, the banks...You name it

That would be the best thing that ever happen!

    Carville is nuts.
He needs meds. Even though we're in the same party, I feel like he's on a different planet.

Yeah right. My bet is that the GOP will make a huge impact in 2010 and regain the WH in 2012. I love hearing all you arrogant Libbies trash conservative values because you'll wish you had them when you wake up and realize the price tag Barry, Nancy and Harry leaving us all to pay.

I don't understand this. The people that are young and voted for the democrats are going to be mad when they have to start paying for all the stuff that Obama and the rest of the Democrats have passed.

Anyways, politics runs in cycles. People will get fed up with one party and will go back to the other.

The GOP needs to embrace social issues facing the country and stop trying to dismiss it. Protecting the country is what all Americans want but you can't do that without dealing with the issues facing the country internally. Wakeup GOP and stop letting the base of your party control your agenda. Its a new generation so wakeup or be left behind.

That's right Mr. Carville, keep the Repugs up late at night worrying about their jobs instead of what's best for the country. And don't forget to ruffle their leader, Rush Limbutt's, feathers while you're at it if he doesn't stroke out first.

I hope so. After Obama running two terms, I hope Hillary will come to the oval office for another two.

  17. Independent that is Starting to see Obama for who he is

Thats hilarious, this is the first time they have been in power in the last 25 yrs and now they will have it for the next 50 yrs? Democrats are arrogant and non-patriotic. All the republicans have to do is sit back and let the dems self-destruct. They always do.

Democrats will hold power until 2016. With Obama gone, Blacks & Hispanics will be siphoned off because of the gay marriage issue. Most blue dogs will go to the Republican party & there will be more liberal republicans in the Northeast. It is impossible for the Democrats to hold power for 50 years.

We need republicans as strong opposition, but not like Sara Palin, Rush and Rudy Juliani.

even if this is so-it won't be the same democratic party it will perhaps be very close to center with the ability to be not only inclusive but more importantly responsive to the needs of the people – those who work and pay taxes and if they are lucky own a home!
