(CNN) – Bill Clinton is happy he can still dabble in the world of politics, even if Hillary Clinton can't.
Clinton said as much while campaigning in Norfolk on Thursday for his friend Terry McAuliffe, who is seeking the Virginia governorship.
"All of you know that we're very close friends," Clinton said of McAuliffe before the Virginia crowd. "All of you know that he did a great deal for me and our family."
"Hillary and I love him," Clinton continued. "And now that President Obama has given her a job that requires that she not ever participate in politics as long as she's Secretary of State, I'm the only one that can say that we love him."

Bill Clinton the nice guy, is doing well for himself and other good causes. He is doing right; move forward with the right action and succeed!
All the best to you Bill Clinton! Hillary, your daughter and you had moved much closer together as a family unit after the campaigning.
Good for you!
All the best to you!
Bring back Bill, he is the best.
phoenix86 – WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM WITH ACORN??? In the case you only watch FAUX NEWS and listen to Rush Limbaugh, this whole ACORN business started when they (ACORN) found out that some of the people they paid to do the work they're supposed to do were crooks and, since they paid them with donated money (part of it Federal), they had to call the FBI and tell them what happened. SO THEY WENT AFTER THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!!!
Bachmann Calls on Congress to Block Funds to ACORN
The Minnesota congresswoman's call for action comes after Nevada officials filed voter registration fraud charges against the group, and Pennsylvania authorities charged seven local ACORN workers with forging voter registration forms.
Rick CT – You seem to forget it was the media and not Bill Clinton that caused Hillary to get passed over. He was only defending what the media twisted to make a story. Blame the Republican ran media not Bill. He is still the man I will bank on.
I am glad I belong to a party surrounded by smart people the likes of Clinton and Obama.
The Rep party is going to remain a regional party if all they can come up with are Limabaugh and Dick Cheney!
The last time Bill got political he sabatoged his wife's Presidential Campaign.
oh boy ,,,a lawyer politican................ugh ..... go write a book or something....
phoenix86-
How can you be so out of touch with reality and still be so hateful?
Why do we keep expecting Bill to be more professional – campaigning for and supporting a candidate is all well and good – but why, again and again must he undermine the Secretary of State's professionalism. Hillary has got to be in a continuous state of damage control....
Go git 'em, Bill. I wanna hear some jabs at the Republicans. Get yourself a good pundit to write your material. Say, Wanda Sykes.
The problem with the GOP is that the church age has come to an end.
Good for you Bill. Keep swinging slugger. The crap that has been coming from the dying party needs washed away. They will lash out at everything because of their despair. If they would ignore Rush, and Boehner they could re-group. Most of my friends are republican and I'm a dem, and we can agree on many things. Why can't Washington?
He was impeached for lying and immorality. Why is he still being listened to?
Bill Clinton is a smart man who nearly balanced the budget during his presidency. It demeans him to get into a cat fight with Dick Cheney. Particularly when the issue is torture. During the Clinton administration we (he) knowingly sent terrorists to Egypt and other countries (Rendition) to be tortured to gain information. Politically/publically he can disagree with Cheney on this point however as a practical matter Bill Clinton, current attorney General Eric Holder and even Nancy Pelosi all have dirty hands with respect to torture. War and terrorism sucks but winning is everything and even though I don't like torture, The Bush administration kept us safe....I'd just let these "borderline" torture issues go. move on....er moveon.org. hehehe
Bill Clinton – out on the road – no woman is safe, particularly those who work for him. How can any Democrat support someone like this who has abused young female employees....isn't he the ultimate lying sexist pig?
I see that the clinton haters are out. Go Bubba and you still look good!
Any time Bill starts talking about "loving" somebody I can't help but wonder if another cigar was involved.
Go away Bill. You've done enough damage.
If McAuliffe wins the governorship of Virginia, the voters can consider themselves as stupid as the morons in Minnesota who voted for and elected a wrestler, a comedian, and a bad senator. McAuliffe is the worst of the worst, smarmy and corrupt.

@Rudra – you should – they are both crooks!

Bill Clinton once described politics as the family business! This is not news! NEXT!
Seriously? "Yeah, she can't say it out loud, but really, my wife supports this guy. Just take it as rote. She'd get in trouble if she actually said it, but I'll say it all over national news."
Mr. President, may I compliment you on so effectively removing a parasite from the Democratic party by making her Secretary of State. Now may I suggest to you that you treat her husband's comments as if she had said them, and deal with her accordingly.
I'd love to see Bill run for Hillary's seat next time...so we don't end up with Pataki or Guilliani as our Senator! There aren't as many known Dems statewide!
As I recall, McAuliffe was an enabler of your spreading the love around while you were president....
