Obama, Richardson to meet up in New Mexico

Obama will appear with Richardson Thursday.
Obama will appear with Richardson Thursday.

(CNN) - President Obama is set to meet up with Gov. Bill Richardson at a New Mexico town-hall Thursday, the first time the two will have appeared together since Richardson abruptly withdrew his nomination to commerce secretary in early January.

Richardson - who sought the Democratic presidential nomination himself last year - withdrew his nomination to Obama's Cabinet in early January, citing the distraction of a federal investigation into ties to a company that has done business with his state.

Two Democratic strategists outside Obama's transition team told CNN that Obama aides pushed the withdrawal because they did not want an ethical distraction amid the controversy then surrounding ex-Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Richardson maintains he has not violated any laws.

Still laughing this traitor didn't get what he was after. Old Hillary still took him down for the SOS position and the world is better for it.

This is comical but practical adivce for all those emotionally challenged "still hate and blame Bush for everything" people. Calm down. Think. Rationalize. Now treat ex-president Bush like an ex-spouse – forget 'em and look to the present and future. All that emotional negativity has a cost. If you only look to the past, you cannot concentrate on the future. Now, what do you see?

I like Richardson...just curious..when his 'legal' matters are cleared does that mean he comes 'on board'?

Republicans like to overlook that Richardson has not been convicted while they support Norm Coleman in his charge of illegally using campaign donations??

I also have to laugh at the people who daily insult the people who voted for the President claiming they were deceived.

Skip, dude...tell me you did NOT just reference Faux Noise in this blog..lol!!! Maybe with a REAL news channel like CNN, it's about getting the truth out to the public, NOT about getting ratings..you should rethink your ideology.

The dumbest man in politics(Richardson) meeting up with the most incompetent man in politics(Obama). This should be a real think-tank in the works.
