Gore takes aim at Cheney

Gore criticized Cheney today in an interview with CNN.
Gore criticized Cheney today in an interview with CNN.

(CNN) – Former Vice President Al Gore Friday took his successor Dick Cheney to task for aggressively criticizing President Obama so soon into the new commander-in-chief's presidency.

In an interview with CNN, Gore said he himself had refrained from criticizing President Bush until well into the run up to the Iraq war - more than two years after the Clinton administration came to an end.

"I waited two years after I left office to make statements that were critical, and then of the policy," he said. "You know, you talk about somebody that shouldn't be talking about making the country less safe, invading a country that did not attack us and posed no serious threat to us at all."

During a series of television interviews in recent weeks, Cheney has repeatedly criticized the Obama administration for its national security policies.

"He can speak for himself," Gore also said of the former vice president. "And I have a feeling that members of his own party wish that he would not do that. But I'll let that be an argument between him and them."

"He has become, in many ways, the leading spokesman for his party during this period of time. And the message is one that he's deciding to deliver," said Gore.

Mr. Fake Green jeans himself. what could he possibly add to anything other than to write for Grimms Fairy tales? As much as many of you hate Bush, we as a country are way better off that this character did not become our president. He's a much better hypocrite. This country was much safer with Bush as our president than if Gore were to have won.

I think we should sent Dick Cheney and George Bush to Iraq. They wanted this war–so let's let them have it and bring all the troops home. Amen anyone?

Al Gore, the creative genius: the man who invented the internet.... then invented the myth of Global Warming.

Let's give him another Nobel Peace Prize because he waited TWO years before attacking President Bush.

    GO AL!
LOL, the GOP has many things to answer for. I'm not so Pollyanna to believe anyone in any party is without sin, but I think the GOP is in it up to their eyes. (no, they are not standing on their heads.)

Good old Al Gore, keeping us safe from the change of the seasons... er, uh, I mean "global climate change."

Up next: fighting man-made global gravity change... and beyond that, fighting man-made plate techtonics change.

The "Cheney " problem may just go away. IF the GOP, ie Gingrich, wants Pelosi investigated for lying about water boarding. They may just look at all the crimes against humanity by Cheney and former President Bush, water boarding / various torture vs the US Constitution, and Treaties the US signed.

Torture should never be an American treatment for prisoners. Please ask, John McCain.

Cheney has a topic, he is probably an expert on torture, he should talk on that subject only.

Mr. Cheney, the biggest loser, should shut up and be quiet. The American people spoke and soundly tossed him out of office. His policies did not work at all and we all know it. When do the criminal investigations him start anyway?

Dick Cheny should go back to his undisclosed secure location and never show his face again.

The nerve of him. He and his puppet Bush did more harm to this country in 8 years, than all the other years of America's existence.

He is an evil man and thereis a special place in hell for him. Bush was just stupid but Cheney is EVIL INCARNATE!! Hopefully, he will be occupying a jail cell real soon.

Yes, Al Gore, DICK is out of line! However, what are we to expect from the GOP's most vile VP? It is interesting how DICK was so quiet during the Bush regime and now they can't shut him up!

I say let DICK talk, everything he says can and will be used against him, when the torture trials/investigations begin.

Cheney is not fit for command. He had the opportunity to run for the office of the President after 8 yrs as a VP. How come he did not run ? All he is doing now is running his ugly mouth.

Hey Al..... May 15th, 2009 5:34 pm ET

where's the global warming? Since it's not here, it must be in your mind.

No icecap by 2015 in the summer. Shipping companies are already talking about navigating the new "Northwest Passage".

The Ross ice shelf in Antarctica is collapsing, and a chunk of the Wilkins ice shelf the size of Delaware broke off in 2007.

These are warning signs. If you live in the South, you better pray to any god that will listen that they figure out climate change soon. Guess the area of the country that lies almost entirely under the 100 foot sea level marker?
