Prosecutors interviewed Karl Rove today inside his lawyer’s office.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Former Bush administration official Karl Rove was interviewed Friday at the office of his lawyer about why several U.S. attorneys were fired in 2006.

Rove's attorney, Robert Luskin, issued a statement after the meeting saying, "Mr. Rove was interviewed by prosecutors today and answered all of their questions. He intends to fully cooperate with the investigation."

Rove himself had no comment for reporters outside Luskin's office, saying only, "Have a nice weekend."

No details of the discussions were publicly released Friday, so the scope of the questioning was not fully known.

Just because he anwered all the questions doesn't mean he did it truthfully. Look, nothing is going to happen to this old goat. He's a part of something much larger than we imagine...much more than just politcal lies and greed. We'll never know the real truth because the wealthy don't have to explain jack to us working class and poor and they know it.

Proud DHS radical   May 15th, 2009 9:52 pm ET

Ask Obama why he's replacing U.S. attorneys with his appointees?

What a ridiculous waste of time. The president and his administration had the OBLIGATION to remove lawyers who would not comply with his direction. I can't believe we are still talking about this non-issue.

Are you kidding? US Attorneys, all attorneys, are to follow the LAW, and the Constitution, not the President's whims. That's why torture happened, because the DOJ lawyers bowed to Bush and wrote what he wanted them to to approve torture. This is still America...in spite of Bush's efforts to turn us into something else.

you people from cnn and the rest of the media should read these posts because you are responsable for unreasonable anger from people that think you tell the truth

Liberals are just so convinced that Bush had to have done something illegal.

I think it has to do with how dishonest the democrats tend to be.

Clinton lied about Monica, Hillary lied about sniper fire, Pelosi is caught lying about CIA briefs, several of them lied and cheated on their taxes, Edwards cheated on his sick wife... the dishonesty goes on and on.

People always seem to accept the lies of democrats while accusing the Republicans of being dishonest liars.

The Democrats always seem to be fooled or misled by everyone around them. The war in Iraq comes to mind.

Just like the CIA briefs, nothing will come of this.

Rove will be the scapegoat for DOJ abuses committed by every president since Nixon. But he won't suffer much. A little slap on the wrist is all he'll get. He knows too much. And Obama isn't going to want to shine a light on the Bush DOJ which just happens to be the Obama DOJ complete with the unreformed Patriot Act, warrant-less wiretaps and politically motivated investigations.

Independent   May 15th, 2009 8:40 pm ET

After 4 hrs of questioning.....he must of had something to say....probably lies anyway....I bet he forgot how to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth....lol lol lol

Funny, heard that Laura Bush didn't like the little sidewinder....

Hey rove its yr turn hope u go to jail! you the saying every dog has his day looks like rove day has come

Frank, Las Vegas   May 15th, 2009 7:41 pm ET

Was he under oath, oh wait, it makes no difference, Rove doesn't know what the word truth means.

Keith in CA   May 15th, 2009 7:41 pm ET

Rove "intends to fully cooperate with the investigation"? There is a big difference between "intends to" and "will". Perhaps some enhanced interrogation techniques might help Mr. Rove keep to his intentions. He and his cronies seem to like waterboarding. Surfs up, Karl!

What a ridiculous waste of time. The president and his administration had the OBLIGATION to remove lawyers who would not comply with his direction. I can't believe we are still talking about this non-issue.

Hey there, in what country do you live? In America, we aren't OBLIGATED to comply with our leaders. We are OBLIGATED to oppose them when they are wrong, not stand blindly behind them. See, this is just the kind of BS the GOP talks. If President Obama is a "socialist" then W is a commie and so are you.

MCD, San Francisco, CA   May 15th, 2009 7:22 pm ET

RayRay – you need to educate yourself. Do you think that Obama won the election with only the votes of libs????? Even Dems & Libs & independents couldn't have given him that victory. Republicans helped elect Obama. Why do you think republicans would vote for Obama? Yes, there is a lot of hate out here for Cheney/Rove and others and some of that hate if coming from Republicans. Perhaps you should take the time to look into this and see why.

MK   May 15th, 2009 7:19 pm ET

If his lips were moving he was lying.

hongli   May 15th, 2009 7:18 pm ET

It's time to use torture on this SOB to get the truth from him. Karl Rove and his buddies are never to be trusted again. They will lie their way as far as they could go.

Marc   May 15th, 2009 7:17 pm ET

Ray Ray – Before saying anything else about 'libs' (i.e. anyone that doesn't agree with your point of view...) go and check Mississipi Mike's post... it's so ridiculous that it is hilarious. Not even VP Bidden's ten worst phrases combed can be so pathetic!

Imarriedmy sister in Mississippi   May 15th, 2009 7:15 pm ET

Hes using his finger to check the wind. The stench of his dirty deeds is backing up on old turd blossom.

Barbara   May 15th, 2009 7:03 pm ET

I wonder – did he tell the truth? Does he even know what the truth is? He and I do mean he, was the reason we ended up in Iraq. Maybe we should send him over there to fight with the troops. He wouldn't even know which way to point the gun. But, we could send Cheney over with him and Cheney could show him how to point the gun. Of course someone else would have to make sure that the gun is point in the right direction or someone would get hurt.

Minnesotan   May 15th, 2009 6:57 pm ET

Can somebody please waterboard Karl Rove?

GOPer   May 15th, 2009 6:41 pm ET

Waterboard this punk. The best thing that can happen to the GOP is Rove going to jail.

Jeff in Houston   May 15th, 2009 6:39 pm ET

It will do no good. If Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Gonzales have all avoided jail time by this point, nothing will happen. The only thing these people will have to answer to is their own concious, and, since that is non-existent with these poeple, well, I hope you have faith in God. That is the only way these people will pay for what they have done.

And, before you get too excited, do you really want them to stand trial for what they have done? Think again. Their rabid, mindless followers will only raise them to the status of Martyr. Taliban/NeoCon, very little difference, just a question of scale.

We just need to vomit at the sight of these people, then move on. We have no other alternative. Get over it progressives. They will get off scott free.

Jim El Paso Tx.   May 15th, 2009 6:31 pm ET

@ Mississippi Mike...are you nuts??? The Justice Department lawyers are to uphold the LAW. NOT the whims of the knucklehead from Crawford's own agenda.

Ray Ray   May 15th, 2009 6:31 pm ET

You libs are quite comical....

Look at your seething, hateful, angry, desperate posts suggesting Rove is that which you portray.

You are Rove!!

Joe Terrogano   May 15th, 2009 6:21 pm ET

This "genius" orchestrated the Bush victories by slinging slime, innuendo, and heightening the fears of the American public. He had nothing left when Obama rolled over the Republican Party, because there was no substance in his "brilliance". Look at the results. One of the worst Administrations in recent history. A clear abandonment of the conservative principles that they were supposed to uphold. International loathing of our government. What a one-man disaster!

Larry   May 15th, 2009 6:12 pm ET

GUT AND BLEED THIS PIG ...

Called Karl rove ...

He deserves Boiling Oil ... The Noose ... Death By Fire ...

I would smile as he burned ... and cried out

For he is responsible for so many of our young childrens deaths

And I am a peaceful man ...

Bill in Austin   May 15th, 2009 6:09 pm ET

Wonder if he was under oath this time? I wouldn't believe a thing this guy says.

Fla.   May 15th, 2009 5:56 pm ET

Yeah, Rove "intends to" (not "will") cooperate with the investigation. We've all seen Rove's past intents, and it's certainly NOT cooperation.

Karl Rove should already be in jail along with Gonzales, Cheney, and Rumsfeld. Our nation's justice needs to prevail by holding their criminal acts accountable once and for all.

Gary   May 15th, 2009 5:49 pm ET

Karl Rove, a man seething with contempt for the American way of life, has absolutely not intention of co-operating in any investigation.

Lisa in Shelton   May 15th, 2009 5:48 pm ET

Karl Rove is the maniacal architect of some of the worst abuses of power our country has ever seen. I hope the comission finds a way to prosecute him and Harriet.

You know, your administration has done some illegal things....when so many of the former admin., are either before congress or on tv, defending their stances......it's disgusting, and pathetic, to think all of this mess, that america is in, is from eight years of incompetence.......bukcle up America.....we're in for a bumpy ride.....this won't be a quick fix.....America is really recovering from a catastrophe....REALLY.

Karl had nothing to say? Since when?

This guy was not elected yet he held the fate of prosecuters and judges in his sweaty, pudgy little hands. He and his boss's admin. need to be investigated fully.
We are not talking about sex in the oval office here folks, we are talking about turning the Justice dept into a political wing of the Executive branch. Shredding the Constitution in hopes of Rove's "permenant Republican majortity"
and yes, I know that Justice is under the Executive. There ARE LIMITS to Presidential power regardless of what neocons think.

Big Ed   May 15th, 2009 5:31 pm ET

An interview. I sure hope they but that snake-oil salesman in front of a Special Prosecutor and a judge, along with the rest of the lying and thieving Bush Administration!

Obama Victim   May 15th, 2009 5:26 pm ET

Dog and pony show meant to appease rabid liberals bent on revenge for Pres. Clinton's impeachment.

Hate to break it to ya.... but NOTHING will come of this.

LOL!!!

You don't expect the truth from Rove do you? He hasn't been known to be truthful in the past.
