All of these protesters must demand to know all of the students and faculty at ND who are pro-choice and demand the leave.

These people are evil evil evil and would apparently destroy this presidency without a second thought and yet they parade as though they are special in the eyes of their god.

Anyone who protests stem cell research should be on the other end of that hell and then let's see the reactions.. They are simply ignorant fools who think they have the right to speak for millions of others dying of pernicious illnesses all over the world.

I,for one, look forward to the day when the RC Church and the other so-called Christian churches are rendered impotent once and for all- With all the lives the RC church has taken in the name of a made up doctrine, how dare they protest this man who wishes no ill on anyone, a man who is trying only to bring some sense to this insane world.. and what's up wth these Catholic colleges and why are they still around? They have been outdated for decades now parents, so don't send you children there unless you want an automaton for a kid?

Notre Dame will be disgraced on Sunday.

It would interest me to find out if the GOP is quietly stirring up this little ant's nest at Notre Dame. I am a Catholic and I am outraged that anyone would protest this.....the Catholic church has not spoken for the average American for 30 years.

Perhaps these same students should ponder why they don't protest against the Church instead for its outmoded and obsolete positions on women in the church, allowing priests to marry, and allowing the most basic of birth control. We are not living in the 19th century....the prices to attend Notre Dame sure reflect that!

Why is it always those who claim to be "Christian" who are the meanest, nastiest folks in any debate. This is more of that Terry Schaivo nonsense – morons.

The protesters are acting like spoiled brats. Whine little children whine. Maybe you will get your way. Why don't you hold your breath until you turn blue.

  11. Republicans are the American Taliban

The Catholic church, the Republicans, and the Taliban have a common philosophy that women have no right making decisions about their own bodies.

People like that disgust me. They have no business calling themselves Christian and be oblivious to respect for the President who leads ALL citizens. This is NOT a church run nation. And Notre Dame is the one who invited Obama! Those protestors didn't bother to protest Bush for sending our young military humans to war to be killed! And just because Bush and Cheney wanted their precious oil and who knew all along that al Qaeda was in Afghanistan because the U.S. PUT HIM THERE years ago!

Jesus did NOT preach protests and violence!

Two categories of protesters; racists and hypocrites.......Thank God he's a bigger person than those so called religious Rights and others protesting him.........I applaud him for taking the time out of his busy schedule to deal with ASU's audacity - now this.....I used to admire Notre Dame......No more......They're on the same level as ASU........A notch lower because they're suppose to have class......

If these phony catholics had been this outraged about all the pedophile priests that were protected by the church for many years, their complaints might seem more legitimate. Instead it rings pretty hollow. Our recent Clown President spoke at ND in 2001 and he had been responsible for scores of executions as governor of Texas. Where were all the protesters back then?

As good Catholics we expect the Catholic Universities to lead the way and teach our children how to be a good Catholic and stand up for all that is right, even when it isn't the popular thing.

If our Clergy and Catholic Universities don't stand up for the reverence of life and gods teachings......then who will?

Notre Dame has let Catholics down!

I have no issue with President Obama speaking, however, it goes against our faith to HONOR a MAN who HONORS ABORTION!

Notre Dame has disgraced itself in the eyes of millions of Catholics.

Notre Dame needs to get a life. People need to respect the President, which ever party or race or gender, and accept others not like themselves. They should be honored that Obama is going to their college. Incredible.

Wow look....Another video of religious fanatics who aren't open to other peoples opinions...Go figure! Good on that one kid though for at least trying to make some sense of all this.

The rest of the graduating seniors should be very happy that a handful of righteous students will boycott the graduation. It will be a much more pleasant event without them there. My suggestion to them and all the pro-life protestors: if you cannot accept the laws of the US, move to a country that supports your views on this. You have some lovely choices: Colombia, El Salvador, Haiti, Nicaragua, Angola, Nigeria, Somalia, Uganda, Iran, Mexico, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, to name a few. You will be pleased to be living in a country where abortion is illegal, and most Americans will be happy to have you gone. Everyone wins!

I do not believe this is because oboma has different views than the catholics. I personally believe its because oboma is a black president and they are using his beliefs as a reason to keep him from being honored this is terrible. Im sure that many other presidents had a lot of different views on many other things. But I didn't see any body protesting to keep them away. This is terrible.

  20. EA for Obama

Politics aside, there is unfortunately and uglier element here. Racism is yet again at the forefront of this alleged controvery. When other POTUS have been asked to speak, their bodies of work were not called into question, nor their political stances or beliefs. Death is death, and if for argument sake abortion is death to th eunborn, so is the death penalty to the criminals. I believe this is all about race and the candidate that did not win...a WHITE one. Had Hilary Clinton won and held up a womans right, I assure you there would be half the backlash that Mr Obama is receiving. We have come a long way, but when I listen to some of these priests and Archbishops and heads of teh Diocese, who for decades turned a blind eye to all the abuses of their own, and now want to be all self-righteous here, I just don't get it. I can only summarize as I have that race is one of the larger reasons. And I hope that the thousands of young students who will receive their diplomas will keep the faith, and realize that he is a man of principle and respect. God bless all of you, with or without flaws....

Notre Dame "catholics" are hypocrites. I didn't see them protesting the war in Iraq (much less volunteering to go there), nor did I see them protest against the former President for starting the war. Hmm, also not a peep out of them over the sex-abuse scandal. All of this makes them hypocrites and irrelevant- kinda like their football team in the BCS...

I will listen to the abortion foes when they begin to hold up pictures of real kids who have been abused and killed by their loving parents. If they are so concerned over a human life then where are they when a child is murdered? Why don't they protest and demand a just punishment for the murder of a living, BREATHING, human. When they begin to value a life that is outside the womb, then I will listen.

The goody-two-shoes pro-life idiots fail to inderstand that their stubborn insistence upon having their way has contributed to our nation's current ruination and morale decline. They act just like the radical Muslims in their beliefs only haven't resorted to violence....yet!!!
