WASHINGTON (CNN) - Mike Huckabee has apparently found his muse: Nancy Pelosi.
Huckabee penned a poem about the House speaker, who has come under fire from the GOP for accusing the CIA of lying to her in intelligence briefings about the agency’s use of harsh interrogation techniques.
The seven-stanza poem, found on the former presidential candidate’s Web site, is called “Fancy Nancy.”
Huckabee calls Pelosi a “ruthless politician” and tweaks the San Franscisco Democrat for her use of a military plane for travel back to her district.
But the heart of the poem is about Pelosi's CIA he-said-she-said:
She sat in briefings and knew about enhanced interrogation; But claims she wasn't there, and can't give an explanation.She disparages the CIA and says they are a bunch of liars; Even the press aren't buying it and they're stoking their fires.

All you people defending her have set the bar so low, it will take a long time to get our moral compass back. Cmon, lying to the congress and the American people is excusable now? And the scary part is she is 3rd in line of the order of succession. Even the President has the brains not to "touch" this one.

Wow, the hatred is really pouring forth from the left wing, as usual. I think we need to keep Pelosi around as Speaker..... she can only do the Republicans good. She knew about the so called "torture", plain and simple.... and did NOTHING to stop it. Not a word. She just continued her ultimate quest to undermine the entire Bush administration for eight years. The true "party of NO". She now is reaping what she sowed.
By the way...why is this so bad, liberals, while Obama's "person of color" comment toward Boehner is OK?????? I just cannot understand the continuous blatant hypocrisy espoused by the left.
It is so like the Repbulicans to keep the forcus on Nancy when it was their party that committed the real crimes of torture not Nancy. Keep this up and all you Repubicans will be on trial for all your lies and sending American men and women into a war on lies. Lying to the American people and sending our troops to fight a war on lies is worse then Nancy lying on the CIA which I find it hard to believe any thing for the CIA have to say after 8 years of their lies.

The republican are like a bunch of hyenas waiting for a carcass. There were many more issues that could have been raised during the last dictatorship over the past 8 years as far as lies, inuendo, and outright leading the American people through disengenuous statements that were aimed at scaring Americans into not questioning the validity or what the administration was doing illegally, and the perjury that was commited. This is a fact folks. We were there, and were listening to the lies being spewed on a daily basis. So before we write poems and have Pelosi strung up, let's all take a step back and look where the lies started.

I have a poem about the GOP leadership on this one as well but I think it will be too long "waiting for moderation".

Again, the media, including CNN, is giving the GOP all the coverage they need to go after Pelosi so they can have a story; yet, CNN and other news organizations are hesitant to keep the Bush Administration's feet to the fire on the torture issue. It's all about selling Time Magazine and get conservatives to watch CNN. Afterall, they have to compete with FIX NEWS!
And again... instead of either doing the Christian thing and trying to be more Christ-like by just apologizing for torture, or answering the very prescient question of who, exactly, Jesus would think it's ok to torture... Mr. Huckabee instead goes off insisting that Pelosi was at meetings that we now know did not occur. Name-calling instead of problem-solving... that's what the Republicans are offering, and why nobody is listening to them any more.

Why aren't we questioning Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Rove, and the CIA about their torture program and their LIES about it?
-I second and third this assessment. The Dems are doing an AWFUL job of keeping on message, so easily distracted by those who got the world into the current mess. Haven't we learned anything?
I enjoyed Mike Huckabee on The Colbert Report, but since then, he's just come across as weird!
- Making jokes about Obama being assassinated during the Presidential campaign;
- Not believing in evolution;
- Now a poem about a very serious subject (torture and whether one of our national leaders – third in line to the Presidency – or the CIA has lied about it).
Weird, just weird ....
the republicans are "acting" like it's worse to know something about the torture then being the actual criminals performing these horrible actions against detainees.
This is all part of the GOP's concerted (and desperate) effort to sidetrack the public from the very real issue that George Bush and Dick Cheney should have been impeached and should be prosecuted for war crimes.
The party that says no to the stimulus package and yes to torture is wrong. They can't change the subject and make Nancy Pelosi the target. They're the ones who tortured, not the Dems.
Cheney and Bush lied to us way worse than this manufactured scandal.
Sean Hannity's radio introduction song includes the lyrics "Make the guily pay" Any of you Hannity supporters out there think we should prosecute Bush, Cheney et al. for torture crimes? Torture is illegal. If they are guilty, they should pay. Or do they get a pass because you voted for them?
My guess is none of the partisan neocons will touch that issue. They want to fry Pelosi and are so consummed with hating her that they want to change the subject to Pelosi and make the real issue irrelevant.

Ok, that last one had six syllables, but it's my haiku. Call it artistic freedom.
I thought Huckabee claimed to be a good christian fellow. It doesn't look like he pays much attention to the Bible. I believe there is a passage that says something like "judge not lest ye be judged". I guess Huckabee forgot that part.
There is no hypocrite like a religious zealot.
Pelosi is 3rd in line for the Presidency. Very scary.
Can someone anyone whether Rep or Dem, Lib or Consv explain to me why on God's green earth I or anyone should care who was in this briefing or who was briefed.
The CIA wasn't giving a briefing asking for persmission they were briefing to say look this is either a. what we are thinking of doing or b. what we are doing to prisoners.
So I don't care if Pelosi and the others that were in the briefing were given pictures of them waterboarding prisoners in the briefing.
The CIA are the ones who commited the illegal, immoral action.
...and yes, Jason, it is worse to know about the torture and claim ignorance, than to perform the actual torture (on all of three people...and it saves thousands of lives).
Or maybe Nancy isn't claiming ignorance. Perhaps, she actually is ignorant.
And he is a preacher? If I was a Baptist I would be ashamed of him.
