FEC dismisses complaint over Palin wardrobe

The Palin camp had come under fire over the source of funding for her campaign wardrobe.
The Palin camp had come under fire over the source of funding for her campaign wardrobe.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - The Federal Election Commission dismissed a complaint on Tuesday against the Republican Party for funding a $150,000 designer wardrobe for then-vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, the group that filed complaint, argued that political candidates aren't allowed to spend campaign donations on personal items like clothing. But the FEC dismissed the case on Tuesday, saying that the purchases were "coordinated party expenditures" because the Republican National Committee spent its own money alone on her wardrobe, and did not use donations made to the McCain-Palin campaign.

In the original complaint, CREW targeted over $150,000 spent at high-end stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales and Neiman Marcus to outfit Palin and her family after she was picked as McCain's vice presidential nominee.

I see all the conservative bloggers and I guess you losers are all the ones who havent set your bumper stickers to a new election cycle. You lost. Youre losers and if you cling to a life raft called Palin, youre just a bigger loser.
Also, CREW is gunning for Murtha, and is not a "lib" entity. It stands for ethics in Congress and sees no party line. So read something, when you can, other than the crawl on Fox News.
But most of you just listen...when not blogging while, youre kids are having unprotected sex.

It makes no difference how much the Republican Party spent on Gov. Sarah Palin clothes, when you put lipstick on a pig, it is still a pig.

Pretty sad when a governor of a state does not have clothes to wear on the campaign trail. Maybe she just didn't have enough class to refuse them. Maybe she didn"t have enough common sense to know how to shop for clothes. After all, she didn't know which newspaper she read. Oh I forgot, she could see Russia from her house.

    Dear Mississippi Mike,
Most women DO NOT love Palin, at least not the educated women I know. NONE of them love Palin. In fact, NONE of them even like Palin. They see her as an illiterate fool constantly engaged in CYA. I hope you live happily ever after in your world of dilusion. This woman lost the election for the Republican Party. Plain and simple. But, she came out of it no longer needing Republican Party dollars to buy a dress and matching jacket, shoes, purse, clothes for her children, husband, probably a collar for the family dog.....Whatever. The Republicans brought this joke on themselves.

Scared of Palin? Nah. What is to be scared of – she can barely interview herself out of a paper bag. The scary thing is that you all think she's the best thing since sliced bread. Now, THAT'S scary!

Stupidity at its finest. Do you think the Obamas' wardrobe came from a garage sale? Celebrities, the media, business executives, attorneys, et al all have to look professional and spend a lot on their clothes. This is nothing more than the left continuing vicious, inane attacks in ways that are totally inappropriate and irrelevant.

The FEC is a useless waste of taxpayer money. They never regulate anything, they let everyone get away with the most corrupt, most scandalous practices.
