WASHINGTON (CNN) – Next month, another member of the Best Political Team on Television will add an award to her already long list of honors.
Senior Political Correspondent Candy Crowley, along with CNN's Christiane Amanpour, will be among the honorees of the Women's Media Center's first annual Media Awards at the Sackler Foundation in New York on June 17.
Crowley is being honored by the WMC for her outstanding political coverage during the 2008 election.
The Women's Media Center was founded in 2005 by Gloria Steinem, Jane Fonda and Robin Morgan to promote women in the media.
In June, Crowley also will be accepting a Gracie Allen Award from AWRT for outstanding feature - hard news program for her coverage of Hillary Clinton's bid for the White House.
Great for you CNN, this isn't news.
Congratulations to her. She is good.
Congrats, I think it is well deserved. I love your reporting. Thanks for all the hard work.
she looks awfully chubby in the picture. cnn should pay for her to go on jenny craig program.
Congratulations Candy! Your even handed reporting has been a delight to watch!
Two reporters receiving well deserved awards. The "Situation Room" motto should be, " The best Female news team on TV " The males lose out due to the very bias reporting of Ed Henry and John King.
Something positive! I've watched Candy Crowley for ages and felt she was one of the best things about television journalism. She's incisive and clear and also has a spirit about her that left her the only newsperson still palatable by the end of the Fall primaries. Great lady.
Well deserved! Candy has always been the best in the business.
Great for these two women! Love their work.
Well deserved. A favorite I always love to hear from.
America is a changin'.....finally ...woman getting the respect they desrve... Congratulations to both of you!
A well deserved award. Candy is an excellent journalist. She is fair minded and without the spin unlike so many other CNN news anchors and journalist. I watched her a lot during the 2008 campaign and election process and loved her reporting.
Congratulations, well deserved. Both are outstanding journalist!
What a great story. This is nearly as significant as Newt Gingrich calling for Nancy Pelosi to resign.
This is great. She deserves it.
The editor for this post, however, needs to go back to Journalism 101 (or at least to Mizzou).
You can't have a first annual anything. It's first ever and second annual.
Sorry to be a grammar snob, but this is basic stuff.
She is a pleasure to listen to, very smart!
Congrats Candy, I've watched you for years. ThanX for always respectful and honest reporting. You deserve this Award.
Good for this outstanding news caster.Keep it up Crowly you are my favorite correspondent on CNN plus John King.
