Bush missed both Obama and Cheney's speeches Thursday, a source tells CNN.

(CNN) - So what did former President Bush think about President Obama and former Vice President Dick Cheney's dueling speeches on national security policies Thursday?

He didn't watch them.

A source close to Bush said the former president was traveling at the time, enroute to New Mexico where he is the keynote speaker Thursday night at a fund raising dinner for a scholarship program for students at Artesia High School.

People are actually letting him give commencement speeches? He should't even be out in public.

Evidently Mr. Bush is the classy one of the Bush/Cheney pair. I wonder what sort of administration Mr. Bush would have had if he didn't have Darth Vader as his wingman.

Laura said "No Way!" With all the preparation needed for one public outing, taking a chance on some off the cuff remark turning into another GOP coffin nail was out of the question. Besides, they don't pay their attorneys to be decorations like Dick. They should at least try and listen to them once in awhile.

He doesnt need to listen because the man who spoke for him for 8 years is still speaking and still using the technique they used so successfully on the United States citizens for 7 years – Fear. As long as Cheney can continue to scare Americans the Bush-Cheney regime is still in power. As long as 24/7 news gives him the platform his buddy will continue to spew his venom and scare Americans. Who is the real terrorist here?????? Thank you for actually retiring President Bush!! Please try to get Osama Ben Cheney to shut up.

I must say one thing about W Bush

it is proving more and more that he was not the big boss man at the time of all the lies it would apear that tricky dicky Chenney as we most all figured ran the counrty from under a rock in an undesclosed location

instead of calling Cheney Darth Vader

we should all refer to him as ( CHENEY ALL MIGHTY)

    works for me

Bush didn't do a lot of things, and what he did do, trashed our nation.

Also, what's the difference between the camp in Cuba, and a super max prison in the US for detained terrorist?

The only thing I can think of is that torture is ok as long as it's not on US soil. And we wonder why they hate us so much...

  9. The Party of NO stood by calmly as the shrub raped and pillaged America, why should we listen to you now?

While no fan of Bush, he is at least NOT helping al Queada by declaring to the world he thinks we are vulnerable to an attack.

Cheney should be indicted for treason.

Bush lived this war along with Cheney. He doesn't need to be lectured by an idiot like Obama who was hiding under his desk in Springfield during 9/11.
