Bush missed both Obama and Cheney's speeches Thursday, a source tells CNN.

(CNN) - So what did former President Bush think about President Obama and former Vice President Dick Cheney's dueling speeches on national security policies Thursday?

He didn't watch them.

A source close to Bush said the former president was traveling at the time, enroute to New Mexico where he is the keynote speaker Thursday night at a fund raising dinner for a scholarship program for students at Artesia High School.

So president hope and change said that he wouldn't release any dangerous terrorists in the US but that he would try some in US courts. Hmm, sounds like he has already prejudged the outcome of the trials. If he tried some and they are found innocent, where do they go?

This proves what we all suspected, that the real President for the last eight years was none other than Dick Cheney. George Bush was just a figurehead

Dubya is as uninteresed on what is going on now as he was when he was president.

Cheney is busy trying to run the country; like he did when Dubya was president.

    Is this news?????????

If there are no attacks under the Obama Administration at the end of his term, will Cheney and supporters concede that Obama has kept us safe WITHOUT enhanced interrogation? So far, our President Obama has kept us safe for 4 months and counting.

God, just seeing Bush's dumb, vacant face reminds me once again how thankful I am that we finally have someone with a brain in the White House. Of course Bush didn't watch either speech, he's a vapid human being and, also, why would he want to be reminded that he ruined the country.

Bush is keeping silent so that when they come to prosecute him for authorizing torture for political reasons he can say . . .
"I was only following Cheney's orders."

Bush couldn't speak when he was in office. Why in the world would somebody pay this idiot to speak.

If Cheney wanted to save his legacy. He should have capture BL as quickly as they caught Saddan.

Cheney open a can of worms that he can't stomp out.

If you wanted to be President you should have ran.

Of course not, he's a total dullard and Cheneybot is too busy trying to stay out of jail that he's not been there to pull the Bushtard's puppetstrings.

Cheney should take a lesson from Bush and stay mum on this issue. It is a proven fact the the American Military was spread thin, making the country less safe.

Mr. Cheney, you were an accident. Thank God nothing ever happend to Bush while in office. Our country would have really been doomed.

    Just think...

Bill Clinton was impeached for the Monica Lewinsky affair...

Yet after eight years of one of the worst administrations in our country's history... Bush, Cheney, Rove, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Rice, Gonzalez and many, many more are still walking around as free people and haven't even been given an official slap on the wrist for EVERYTHING they did to our country. As an American citizen, I find this amazing... and very discouraging.
