Bush missed both Obama and Cheney's speeches Thursday, a source tells CNN.

(CNN) - So what did former President Bush think about President Obama and former Vice President Dick Cheney's dueling speeches on national security policies Thursday?

He didn't watch them.

A source close to Bush said the former president was traveling at the time, enroute to New Mexico where he is the keynote speaker Thursday night at a fund raising dinner for a scholarship program for students at Artesia High School.

So what's new, he was watching anything for the last 8 years either. However, at least he has moved on unlike his pathetic vice president who is the most devisive figure I have seen since well Sarah Palin!

While no Buh fan, at least he is showing some class by keeping his mouth shut, and getting on with his life. I think Cheney's speaking tour is because he has no life now that he is done running the country. Perhaps he is rehearsing his defense for his treason and war crimes trial?

My guess is that he probably didnt want to watch it and feel guilty about what has been done to this country over the last 8 yrs.Cheney has a lot hate in his heart as far i can tell and thats why the torture went down; Now Cheney is to trying to put fear into the hearts of the america people with hatred and fear and most of the republicans stand behind him even though he violated our consitution.

Lets see – A commencement speech in Mexico – yet we now know that a huge % of students in Texas are from and or living just over the boarder in Mexico.

Maybe Texas should secede from the Union and just be part of Mexico.

I got it now – We can call the new state Texico !

LN– You MUST be a liberal with your mentality. I don't know where you get the idea that Bush speaking to a group of high schoolers is his "best gig that he can get".
Really.?. I'm guessing he's had some pretty good offers since leaving office but nobody hears about them.
Leave your little mind comments to yourself.

1 in 7 terrorists return to terrorism. Bush and Cheney understand that but naive Obama doesn't.

all you people making nasty remarks about our president, you are just upset because we finall have a strong Black man in office to try and correct the mess your white race has messed up for centries. Bush was by far one of the most stupid looking men I have seen hold a high office. The man can't hold down a speach withot looking stupid.

Is this the Obama network or a news network? It just looks like an off-shoot of Entertainment Tonight posing as news...

    What a disgrace!!

Of course Bush didn't watch the speeches - he has zero intellectual curriosity about anything. And now that he's not pretending to be president, he doesn't have to listen to Cheney's orders any more.

Help me! I am starting to think that Bush is a honorable man and it was Cheney that took this country down. I am starting to feel sorry for him. Please America grow tired of him trying to make you afraid. That is the real answer to fighting terrorist. Stop being afraid!

Hilarious – on the CNN poll earlier in the day, a majority did not agree w/closing Guantanamo. Now, the poll says 60% agree with Obama as compared to Cheney on the issue, yet it's the exact same issue! People – don't just vote for a name or an image, you have to understand the message. Think for yourselves!

Ok. Results speak themselves. We won't forget 9/11 and 9/11 needs a closure. Bush/Cheney FAILED to close out 9/11. Instead, they opened an uncessary Iraq war and Obama has to cleen up these mess they created. Simple question to Chenney – where is Bin Laden? Failure is failure, nothing can hide the failure, period.
