Bush missed both Obama and Cheney's speeches Thursday, a source tells CNN.

(CNN) - So what did former President Bush think about President Obama and former Vice President Dick Cheney's dueling speeches on national security policies Thursday?

He didn't watch them.

A source close to Bush said the former president was traveling at the time, enroute to New Mexico where he is the keynote speaker Thursday night at a fund raising dinner for a scholarship program for students at Artesia High School.

All we need is a little makeup and we got Bozo, just look at the picture. Cheny is a perfect Cooke the clown. Because of clowns You know we are all spinning our wheels, the terrorist are not even as organized as some of the Republican CEO con-men. We are spending trillions of dollars to fight half witt bands of people in rags on the other side of the planet. The pirates in Africa had more organization and we got them under control. Suspicious?

President Bush has a big smile on his face.

VP Cheney just schooled Obama on being a leader.

Obama was so out of his league.

It was so hard to watch.

    Obama so far:

    Economy – Failed
    Foreign Policy – Failed

He's quiet because he understands better than Cheney how difficult it is to safeguard the USA. Mr Cheney who was VP on 9-11-2001? Did you say something about keeping us safe?

    Thank you

For those who claim Obama is the idiot – I think your definition of idiot needs a lot of revising! If lack of intelligence and long term thinking are your qualifications, then Bush has it and Obama is the antithesis of it.

Fear mongering won't work either Cheney. YOUR ADMINISTRATION is the one who missed the warnings on 9-11. So, to say you guys kept us safe is a complete lie. You have made us nothing but MORE in danger than before. Obama has begun the long road back from this, starting by closing Guantanamo.

What does he care what Cheney or Obama say? His job wrecking the country and making him and his friends rich is done.

The former president has and is acting like he believes that there is only one president at a time -BRAVO!

As for Cheny, he needs to realize that he is not and nver was President. HE needs to disappear SILENTLY into the sunset!

Citizen Bush wouldn't have understood either Mr. Cheney's or President Obama's presentations. It is nice that Bush is doing something positive for education. His" No Child Left Behind" has sure been a wasteful disaster.

President Bush said ealier that President Obama deserved his silence and he is sticking by that. I think Bush is basically a good man though not a good president and he is doing the classy thing. Leave the classless stuff to Cheney and the right wingers like some of the ones that post here on these blogs. Like mother used to tell me "empty wagons make the MOST noise"!

Bush didn't listen when there was no proof of WMD's, Bush didn't listen when told Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, Bush wasn't listening when the economy came crashing down, Bush never listened to the American people but I guarantee you Bush knew exactly what Cheney was going to say, Karl Rove wrote his speech.

He knows what both are going to say. He has served and moved on. Love all these people calling our leaders idiots. Most of this group probably do not even have college degrees or decent jobs. But that is why they need the Secular Welfare State Obama is offering.

Dick Cheney should be making his case in an orange suit in front of a criminal judge.
I condemn Obama not to go after this EVIL PERSON. He is the cause of all the problem we have in this country.
Now he's only wish is to have the country attacked again to prove his shady arguments to the stupid morons who believed he kept them safe.

The argument for / against the Bush-Cheney administration has already been made in the way they governed. No new words will change the history. Bush is acting intelligently; Cheney is trying too hard to be convincing. (By the way, CNN did not say whether Bush taped the speeches for later viewing).

Cheaney and Bush already had their turn to screw things up. And they took full advantage. Why in the hell are they still talking?

    Obama is the President.

Only the American's who hate every body who is not white are supporting Cheaney.
