WASHINGTON (CNN) – President Obama intends to nominate Chicago businessman Louis Susman to be the country's next U.S. ambassador to the Court of St. James's, according to sources familiar with the nomination.

Susman is 71 and retired in February as the vice chairman of Citigroup. Susman was a prominent fundraiser and "bundler" from Obama's presidential campaign and was also a key fundraiser for Sen. John Kerry's presidential bid.

The pick has been approved by the British government and Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

How much bailout money did Citi Group get?
So money and an Ambassadorship for raising money when he should have been doing business to make Citi financially sound.
That's a lot better than state Unemployment!

@ Nick - "Do any of them go to school, write, read, add, subtract, do any of them have a brain?" This might be favorite posting of all time. It is the typical hateful venom that comes from the so-called accepting Democrats. However, it's even more hilarious when Nick tries to call another "stupid" yet he doesn't even know proper grammar. Absolutely priceless. Ummmm, Nick, do you know what a run-on sentence is???

After the win but before the inauguration, Obama was asked if he'd appoint any contributors to his campaign as ambassadors. He said (to loosely quote it as I remember) "It would be disingenuous of me to tell that that won't happen. I'm sure there will be a few." and then implied it was historically a trend, which it is. So what?

What is the big deal? I heard that this has been done in other administrations. Plus, what's the big deal? Are these businessmen theives or charged with any corruption? Republicans, please continue to pick on everything the President does. I love it! The more you hate the President, the more your numbers stay in the 20s%. P.S. If the President isn't a change from the last administration, then why are you guys complaining so much?

Did anyone hear about the story today about the hundred Kindergartners who were turned away from their White House tour, because the White House had to get ready for the Pittsburgh Steelers visit? Funny, it doesn't make it on any of the major news networks, but the DC news are carrying it as a Gaff by the white house. Interesting...
