Oh, boy. Better cancel any vacation days for the National Guard NOW. They're gonna be busy...

Ryan   May 28th, 2009 4:00 pm ET

Hey Marc,
Just so you know, I am a guy with regular, common sense and sane American; therefore, I’m wishing that the scenario 1 to come true. Do you honestly see the signs that the economy as whole is recovering? I certainly hope it is recovering, though. I know for a fact, it takes time.

Polar Bears Against Palen   May 28th, 2009 3:58 pm ET

Ryan,

Check the recent economic indicators. Wall Street. And, consumer confidence. We are already seeing signs of recovery. Most economists are now saying the end of the recession is in sight.

Do you think this would be the case under McCain or the bubblehead from Alaska?

shucks   May 28th, 2009 3:55 pm ET

Tom Bachman, if you don't like it leave. Most Pittsburgher's are proud of their city. We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, our housing market has remained stable, building and development continue at a remarkable pace, and yes we have the Steelers and the Penguins. The only thing we have that we can spare are as rep Murtha put it, a bunch of gun toting, bible thumping, rednecks. I beleive that includes the like of you.

Marc   May 28th, 2009 3:48 pm ET

One of these two scenarios is very likely to be happening when this summit is going on:
1 – There are evident signs that the economy as a whole is recovering.
2 – There are evident signs that the economy as a whole is not recovering.

If you are an regular, common sense and sane American you're wishing that the scenario 1 is the one that will come true.

If you are a Republican you're probably wishing that the scenario 2 happens.

Let the bashing begin...

Ryan   May 28th, 2009 3:47 pm ET

Robens, you don't even know what you're talking about. How about you shut up, dim-witted.

JA/TN   May 28th, 2009 3:46 pm ET

i think we want it in America, don't protest surround it, same implications as detainees being jailed here

Boudin   May 28th, 2009 3:45 pm ET

Welcome, "Comrades".

Robens   May 28th, 2009 3:43 pm ET

Shut up he doinga good thing. But you stupid Right wing puing him down

Ryan   May 28th, 2009 3:43 pm ET

Dino May 28th, 2009 3:21 pm ET
You right-wingers are a joke. And, Bush already destroyed the economy, losers.
---------------------------------
President Obama is helping other countries such as sending $ 1 Billion to Palestine and $ 100 million to Pakistan. Of course, I am sure there’s more. Bottom line, it’s the money that we don’t have. So, how is President Obama helping our economy?

debbie   May 28th, 2009 3:41 pm ET

That's just wonderful!!! I hope Obama helps these other countries just like he's helping our country – NOT – He was just here where I live (Las Vegas) and he could have helped us but he chose not TOO!!!
He could have met with our gov – but than again chose NOT to. He really has hurt our ecomony and all he cares about is his celebtity status!!!
way to go pres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Broker.   May 28th, 2009 3:40 pm ET

Mr. Magic   May 28th, 2009 3:38 pm ET

Repunks are here in full force I see... I tell you what. Don't ask for any of the tourism money that comes in due to this summit. I feel if you gonna cry like a little kid...take your a$$ to bed like a little kid, and let the adults fix this mess.

Dino   May 28th, 2009 3:37 pm ET

Israel sucks!

ray ray   May 28th, 2009 3:28 pm ET

I wonder how much THIS meeting will cost our country??

Obama is the ATM-in-chief. Need money? Call Obama. Already he has promised over $50 BILLION in foreign aid including:

$1 Billion to Palestine (Hamas needs money to fund terrorism)
$100 Million going to Pakistan (Hillary PROMISES it won't go to terrorists)

More money to: Jordan, Kenya, South Africa, Mexico, etc.

WORST PRESIDENT EVER!

Simmy   May 28th, 2009 3:27 pm ET

A win for Pittsburgh.....Tourism will increase.......Businesses will benefit......Pride will overflow.....It's a great move.......Congrats Pitts-B!

Ron, caro Michigan   May 28th, 2009 3:25 pm ET

Yes, but just like in the White House,he will not take questions from anyone who has not been screened by his handlers. He proved worthless as a president and is not worth listening to now.

dc   May 28th, 2009 3:24 pm ET

i sense some cynicism

Dino   May 28th, 2009 3:21 pm ET

You right-wingers are a joke. And, Bush already destroyed the economy, losers.

Obama Victim   May 28th, 2009 3:20 pm ET

the good news for Pittsburgh is that it will be real boost to their economy.............the bad news, well....is that The Annoited One will surely show up..............you know there will be a camera there....................

Gary   May 28th, 2009 3:17 pm ET

Wonder how Cheney, Limbaugh, Rove, and Steele will find fault with this????

Ennis, LA   May 28th, 2009 3:16 pm ET

Yeah...and all the protesters will have a field day. Poor Obama...can he
do anything right?

Rob   May 28th, 2009 2:54 pm ET

Obama and Geitner will be leading a session called "Ruining Your Country's Economy in 5 Easy Steps" Maybe if we're lucky Obama will apologise to the other members for America being at the forefront of the global economy. Yes, we are meanies!

bsmith171   May 28th, 2009 2:52 pm ET

another gabfest and waste of money.

Dutch/Bad Newz, VA   May 28th, 2009 2:43 pm ET

I hope some economic solutions come out of it. With this President, I'm sure there will.

Bill   May 28th, 2009 2:42 pm ET

Is Rush Limbaugh invited for the G-20 summit.

If not he will criticize and oppose it :P

Fair is Fair   May 28th, 2009 2:37 pm ET

Well, it can't possibly be worse than the disaster that the last G-20 was. Just keep Biden away or I'll have to eat my words.

King Abdullah   May 28th, 2009 2:31 pm ET

Just don't expect me to reciprocate.

Teleprompter of the U.S.A.   May 28th, 2009 2:28 pm ET

That's just great. The host country is being run by someone destroying the U.S. exconomy and by extension a lot of the world's economy and they're going to have an economic summit here...

Maybe Demjanyuk can host a conference on human rights and how to prevent genocides.

Tom Bachman   May 28th, 2009 2:27 pm ET

Welcome to Pittsburgh. Ask them to bring some cash to help our Dem-destroyed City & Allegheny County finances.
