New York Rep. Peter King is one of six House Republicans targeted in a new DCCC ad campaign.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is taking aim at six House Republicans for their votes earlier this year against President Obama's $787 billion stimulus package.

The committee is launching radio ads Monday against Rep. Brian Bilbray of California's 50th congressional district; Rep. Charlie Dent, Pennsylvania's 15th congressional district; Rep. Peter King, New York's 3rd congressional district; Rep. Thad McCotter, Michigan's 11th congressional district; Rep. Tom Rooney, Florida's 16th congressional district, and Alaska's Rep. Don Young. The ads will run for a week, according to the DCCC.

E-mails and automated calls about the six Republicans' stimulus votes are also part of the DCCC latest ad campaign.

(Read the script of a radio ad and of an automated call after the jump)

The text of the radio ad targeting Rep. Peter King:

Did you know Congressman King voted against the Economic Recovery Plan? He opposed an $800 tax cut and opposed creating or saving 215,000 New York jobs. Tell King to put New York first.

The text of the automated call targeting Rep. Thad McCotter:

I'm calling from the DCCC to tell you how disappointed I am in Congressman Thad McCotter.

He keeps voting "no" on everything. Congressman McCotter even voted against the economic recovery plan, which is at work now to create or save over 109,000 Michigan jobs.

He voted "no" on transportation projects that mean good jobs right here – like widening Canton Center road.

He even voted against an $800 tax credit for Michigan couples.

I hope you'll join me in calling Congressman McCotter to tell him to stop voting "no," to stop standing in the way of getting the economy moving again.

Paid for by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, [phone number omitted]. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.

The GOP should put their money where their big mouth is. Sure, they'll vote against the stimulus, and grandstand publicly how they oppose it, but at the end of the day not ONE of them will reject the money to their districts. Even the holier-than-thou GOP governors were grandstanding about rejecting some hundred million dollars, while behind the scenes having no objections against the BILLIONS of dollars they took anyway. The GOP says they're fiscally conservative but only because they grandstand about rejecting less than 5% of the money. When they put their money where their big mouth is, maybe I'll consider calling them 'conservative' and actually voting for them. Until then, they're just as liberal as the democrats!

Ok, I see it in the libby full of hateful people states but to run an ad where good hearted people live like Flordia and Alaska, telling them that so and so is evil for not supporting Obama's march toward Socialism and absolute total destruction of our way of life is absurd.

Think of what libs support if you are thinking about voting Democrat.

Obama is closing down profitable dealerships who have donated to republicans, while keeping liberal supportive dealerships that are bleeding cash open.

Obama picks a surpreme court judge soley based on her ethnicity and racist attitute, looking to further divide our nation.

That's libby lite, the fact that he is destroying our nation and robbing our children of their future is the real libness of his administration, the liberalization of America is all about destruction, since not one Democrat in America thinks for themself, Obama has his echmans, like other national socialists of the past.

  7. RepugliKLAN conscience

Repugs voted against stimulating the US economy so they could pander to the far right and trash Obama in their 2010 re-election race. Disgracefully hypocritical how Repugs complain about spending and yet can't specify a single government program that they want to cut or eliminate.

Where, oh, where were these 'fiscally conservative' republicans for the past eight years? Oh, right, they were spending like crazy, approving all of Bush's LIBERAL spending, including billions of dollars for the first AIG bailout in 2005, no questions asked. They also voted along with everyone else for these socialist, bankrupting bailouts last October, for the corrupt banks and later for the auto industry. They did NOT protest then! I have no reason to find their current protests credible either! When they put their money where their mouth is (i.e. actually reject the stimulus money, instead of just talking about it then taking the money anyway) then I may believe them. Rejecting less than 5% of the stimulus money is NOT fiscally conservative!

I hate to tell you dimwitocrats but these ads aren't going to work...by the time of the next elections roll around so many more people are going to be out of work that the voting public will realize that the vast majority of this money has been wasted..how many ex chrysler and general motors employees do you think are going to vote for democrats??..especially after the uaw donated millions to get obumbler elected..all of the plants being shut down..parts suppliers shutting down..car dealers shutting down..what does that total..about 10 million voters losing their jobs in the largest government takeover of the private sector??..and that corelates in to more democratic voters??..how exactly??

  14. The Party of NO is only “pro-life” to save a zygote now, so it can then kill the “babies” 18 years later as soldiers in an elective religious war.

At least the progressives wait until the party member has ACTUALLY voted before they begin "bashing" by pointing out facts.

While the rabid Reich distributes talking points the day after one Supreme Court judge announces his retirement, stating to oppose ANYONE that is nominated.

Party of NO thy name is indeed republican.

Do the Democrats actually want these Congressional representatives to win? Most people were against that stimulus bill in the first place. If I were a republican targeted in one of those adds, I would run a counter add saying that you did vote against it and proud to do so.

I'd vote for anyone who had brains enough not tovote for the stimulous package. All it has done is put a huge load of debt on the next 2 to 3 generations.

By the time the elections happen, the majority of the public will realize what a fraud the stimulus plan was and these repubs should have no problem being reelected. Oh wait, you need an honest, unbiased press to make that known, I guess these guys will lose.

    Regardless of one's political leanings:

To have the hubris to vote in support of the largest and most expensive bill in human history without having even read it is one thing.

To call-out the few who were not willing to make the same blind leap of faith despite the fact that they did not stop a thing is akin to the church's logic during the Spanish Inquisition.

    YOU LIBTARDS ARE HILARIOUS!!!

Do you libtards actually think that opposing the "porkulous" bill are going to be HURT in the next election??

2010 is going to be an onslaught of Republicans victory. It'll be just like 1994 :-)

Put your money where your big mouth is people! You complain about debt for future generations, yet you don't seem to mind having borrowed America from the Chinese yourself! You wanted a taxcut for yourself because you thought it was 'your money' but in fact it was already borrowed by your father who also, selfishly, borrowed his taxcut that you'd have to repay. Oh right, you want a taxcut for yourself AND your children. Guess what, you and your father, and your grandfather have already borrowed this country. That money you think is yours was already borrowed. So if you worry so much about the burden for future generations then quit asking slefishly for taxcuts for yourself! Repay the debt your father borrowed! Oh, but I guess when Reagan and Bush Jr. each DOUBLED the national debt, it was okay, but not if somebody else does it? Hypocrites! I will vote republican only when they return to ACTUAL fiscal conservatism, not when all they ever do is pass the buck and find scapegoats!

Doug, pretty much everything you say there is a boldfaced lie, and Libby was the guy who went to jail in Bush's place, remember? As far as I can tell, the GOP is the National Socialist Party these days; right now they are having their Beer Hall Putsch. Soon they will burn the Reichstag and blame it on Michael Savage, then Rush will lead the charge on Krystallnacht.
RNC=LSD, you'd be surprised how many Democrats don't expect anything great from Obama. We never expect the president to be anointed by God, walk on water, convert the heathen and just generally be the American Pope the way you gops do. We're trying to hire a good business manager so we won't go broke; it's you guys who talk about your candidates in messianic terms.

    Peter E,

So your logic is that since someone else did it then it's ok for Obama to do it as well.

Let's see, FDR interned Japanese-Americans, do you support that?
FDR supported a segregated military based on race, support that too?
Nixon supported wage & price freezes, do you want that back?

In my opinion, the representatives that voted against the Stimulus package are heros and should / will be re-elected by landslide margins.

The Stimulus Bill was bad then and it is worse now.
I appreciate those who had the guts to vote against it.
It will go down in history as the BIG LIE.
