"Agent 123," and "Agent E-634," with conspiracy to act as illegal agents of the Cuban government and to communicate classified information to the Cuban government.
Wow! State Department ihnfiltrated by Cuban spy for 30 years! That says a LOT about the State Department.

30 years spying for Cuba? Just now catching them now that they are in their 70's. I wonder about our CIA and FBI if they can't catch a couple until they are in their 70's and beginning to slow down.

One thing I can say with the State Department, it is full of bureaucrats, it is hard to catch a spy in the midst of them due to the fact of political correctness which put this country in a lot of danger.

The questions I have are: what did they take; how did they get it to Cuba; what did Cuba do with it (possible information to sell to other world players); what were they thinking?
I wonder if these people will get as much time a Pollard given they spied for an enemy unlike Pollard. He spied for a friend and has been in longer than anyone else.

"The clandestine activity alleged in the charging documents, which spanned nearly three decades, is incredibly serious .. "These arrests are the culmination of an outstanding counterespionage effort
Are you kidding me, I don't think a 30 operation can be considered a success. These people are in their 70s, what did they do, send geritol to Castro?

What a surprise, Myers and Steingraber-Myers, spying on our country for communist government. That reminds one of the Klaus Fuchs, the Rosenbergs, David Greenglass, Morton Sobell, Harry Gold, Joel Barr, Alfred Sarant, William Perl and the other nuclear spies and Jonathan Pollard. What do they all have in common? Hmmmm.
And by the way Stein in NJ, Pollard should have been shot like the sniveling cowardly traitor he is. "Friendly" governments don't spy upon and steal secrets from each other.

@ susie, no this time it is not Bush's fault, this falls on the shoulders of Jimmy Carter. So all the Republicans can breath easier. It was under a Democrat.

They transmitted key info to the Cubans, such as the following.
"Dear Fidel,
After exhaustive research we've reached the considered conclusion that the US would kick your butt from here to Martes if you picked a fight.
Send them back to Fidel's Cuba!
