I didn't know we had so many nuts and bigots in this country. You left wingers (socialists) wouldn't recognize a train wreck if you were in it.

What do you know! Charlton Heston reborn. Not only am I all done with right wing politics...I'm done with Jon Voights, Fox TV, Limbaughs and his "skinheads", and any other right wing idiot who dares to espouse the politics of fear, hate, ridicule and just about any other negative emotion these wingnuts can come up with disquised under the Conservative Republican Brand. Shame on all of you Un-American wacko's. As for Jon Voight please be advised you are hereby "banned" from any element of broadcast within my range of view, audible or otherwise, along side of your hero...Moses.

Who gives a crap about what some over-paid has-been actor thinks about our president and his challenges? About as many people who give a crap about what you or I have to say.

    Stuff it, Jon!

Jon Voight, if it were Barbara Srteisand the media would be laughing at the thought of her making a comment. Bu then she's a woman and a liberal. Jon Voight, on the other hand is male and conservative so therefore he merits coverage as someone who matters. What baloney.

Well, I certainly wouldn't call him a prophet..that would be offensive to God. I find it intersting that CNN closed comments on the NYS coup...not like you...
Being from NY ...alot of folks are rambling this was hyjack of the voters choice....so untrue....this was pure demoracy at work. Our leaders were NOT listening to the majority of constituents...and Thank God Golisano didn't move yet...say waht you may about Espanda and Monsenate...but they did the right thing..and from my faith perspective God rewarded it. This state has suffered much...you have no idea across this country just how....and we 'know' what is right now...we are not straying from doing right.. we will have a prosperous state again...and the church bells will once again ring loudly!

CNN, why is my comment still waiting approval while others who have commented since me have been approved?

Many things have been placed onto Obama's plate and I am willing to say he has a lot of handle. But, he has not performed very well under pressure and has given too much to the people who got us in this economic mess. With that being said, I agree with Jon's comments who heatedly. He was the prophet and is completely false.

"In the time of the end...the king of the north...will he will have to come all the way to his end, and there will be no helper for him". Daniel chapter 11, the Holy Bible; the word of God. "During that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who is standing up in behalf of the sons of you people. " Daniel Chapter 12 vs 1 "Then if anyone says to you "Look here is the Christ' do not believe it". Matthew 24 vs 23

Who could possibly care what am actor has to say about Obama, or politics in general? The problem with the media these days is that anyone who is mildly famous can get some reporter from some organization to spout whatever they want. Where's the news in the coverage of this story?

All of the name calling and division among Americans (Black and White) has to stop! President Obama NEVER called himself a prophet, never has he acted as such either. Those of us that have supported him do believe that he was placed in the position that he is in now because he is what this Country needs at exactly this moment. But by no means do we consider him a prophet nor worship him as some God. We are not a bunch of mindless individuals that follow blindly, we are educated, have minds of our own and can think for ourselves very well.

Why is that people do not realize that the power America once had is long gone and it is not due to us having President Obama in the White House, our standing in the world diminished eight years ago! No longer can we bully the rest of the world and expect them to lay-over and submit to our will!

The views of Mr. Voit breeds hate and anger, we can do without that. When are people going to realize this President did not create the mess this country is in and he is trying his best to fix the mess that was left for him. If you do not have anything constructive to say then by all means please keep your thoughts to yourself. By President Obama reaching out to the world and displaying a willingness to work together he is actually laying the foundation for a peaceful resolution to the hostility that is directed towards America! We cannot exist in this world alone so why not learn to work together?

Wow. Voight turned out to be a wacko. Crazy, unrealistic, brainwashed talking, fearful people, especially ACTORS are dangerous. Seriously.

maybe CNN writers could use verbs other than 'blasts' or 'slams' . It seems like every controversial article written uses one of those words to make a point. Don't we have other verbs available?

Jon Voight is just pissed because he sucks as a father and an actor. This mans words are as relevant as his relation to his daughter. When he can set a good example as a man (and an actor) then he can be respected for his opinion. But the guy sucks in all regards, so him having a delusional, pschyzoprhanic conspiracy theory, is not surprising.

Get meds dude, you need them!

I love him! He is right, Obama is nothing but a people pleasing celebrity! Stop talking and do something! You shouldn't pick on Voight because he has the balls to say something about it! I also enjoyed the swinging on the playground metaphor.

It doesn't matter about Mr. Voight's family or current ability or inability to earn money. What matters is that he is right about Mr. Obama. He is literally giving this country away while we sit by and watch, and he knows exactly what he's doing. What may seem like a plan gone wrong in our eyes is most likely a plan gone very right in his. Don't for one minute let yourselves believe that Mr. Obama has this country's best interest at heart. What he has at heart is his standing with his fellow Muslims and Allah. By the time he has served his 8 years in office we will have no freedoms left and probably will have lost all right to own property in our own names. The press will continue to cover for him and we will be lucky if know half of what he is doing in the White House. This is a very scary situation people; the United States will never again be the same country it was even a year ago so what shape will it be in 7 years from now.

I will be 60 years old tomorrow and I have lost a son and brother in wars to maintain this country's freedom. In less than 6 months Mr. Obama has begun to give it all away. Sad.

Isn't this the same guy who's own daughter disowned? Funny how all the guys saying this stuff are Old White and at the end of their careers.

This sort of overstatement says alot more about Voight's state of mind than it does about Obama's.

"False Prophet"??? I don't recall Obama ever even intimating that he was anything but a politician. Maybe you need to look up the definition of "prophet". Why not just avoid the looney references and respectfully disagree Mr. Voight? Maybe you're the one fixated on prophets because your argument lacks intellectual merit.

Oh, hang it it up Jon, what do you know. You are just a washed up actor who knows nothing about The President. I really think he is doing a great job and i like that he is tring deplomacy instead of ignoring the whole country like Bush did, also Bush did nothing but put us in a big mess that Barack has to fix it. Well I know you didn't vote for Barack Obama.
