I thought Obama was running for president, not prophet! Mr. Voight, while you have your right to your opinion, and you have a right to express it in a responsible fashion, may I suggest you stick with acting. You are much better at that.

The Iraninan president is going down to a reformer in the next election, Heszbollah lost in Lebenon, local shooting at the Taliban in Afgan; lets see what your Cowboy deplomacy did the last eight years:

    Iran going Nuclear
    North Korea already Nuclear
Iraq a complete disaster that almost collapsed our economy
    Taliban stronger that ever
Bin Laden sitting eating ice cream in a cave who knows where
Isreal had to go to war
    should I keep going...

Go back to acting, or is that what your speech was...

This is terminally sick. so Jon wants to go back to the days of empire when all political decisions in the world must be cleared through Washinton and the American Right Wing? I thank God that the days of living in fear that the third worlders will take away outr"stuff" if we are not armed to the teeth are on the wane.
If this is the best that the right wingers can do it may be a long time in the wilderness for them. This is right out of the Joe McCarthy play book

YES! Please let us go back to being the country that crams our sanctimonious ideology down the throats of any and all nations that should disagree with our policing of this planet. I miss being scorned by the world.

You, sir, are a washed-up, bas-been, realtively medicore actor - taking the last refuge open to pathetic attention-seekers: political pawn. You envy our hard-working, intelligent, and on-the-whole successful President; and you aren't fit even to mention his name.
Why don't you just go try for some Lifetime soaper flick and earn some money the honest way, Midnight Cowboy?

    Voight is right.
    Obama is an abomination.
    Silver tongued devil.
    Evil incarnate.
    Spawn of Saten.
Time will prove his opposition right.
    History will condemn him.
Not all Americans are kool-aid drinking fools.
    Thanks Jon.

how do you know what he is ? do you know what the true meaning of a prophet is? it is not in human form. as we think

president knows he will never please everyone he is trying to do a better job than the others.

what does prophet have to do with being a president, you should be concerned about him being and doing his job as pres.

i love and support him he is the best thing going right now. he came into a mess left by the o t h e r

President Obama is not a prophet at all. He's a politician and a leader.

But what I really can't wait for is all the wingnuts rationalizing why this Hollywood star's opinion is worthy, when they've spent the past ... forever keening and wailing about other Hollywood stars' opinions.

I guess this explains why Angelina refuses to allow him contact with her kids.

This poor washed up soul needs to go to the retired actors home and tell his glory day stories to people who can turn down their hearing aides. I cannot believe this sort of nonsense gets airtime. The man is clearly demneted.

Isn't bad enough that we listen to nut cases like Sarah Palin....now we give washed up actors like Voight air time...

I'll tell you what else Mr Voight. Israel can take care of Israel, it's not our responsibility and they are strong enough to fend for themselves. And you can't proclaim your own country to be the "great powerful good in the world", that is a title given to you by the rest of the world who HATES US, because of republican foreign policy.

Those who live in glass houses should NOT throw stones. When did President Obama declare that he was running for Pope? I see a man who is a great husband, PHENOMENAL FATHER to his daughters, and a learned man. It's highly unlikely that we'll ever see Sasha and Malia on tv stating that they have cut off all ties with their father.

I really wish that people would let this man do his job ... because it's the GOP who led this country into this mess that we're in .... President Obama is working to get us out.

don't you have to be a prophet to be a "false" prophet? I don't consider Obama anything but our current president... Good or bad, like him or not, he's just the president.

How come Republicans slam actors who take a Democrat/liberal political position as "having no right to an opinion," but when it is an actor on "their" side suddenly these guys are geniuses and worth listening to? Hypocrisy anyone?

Just one more reason to avoid this actor's work. He was a lousy actor, a worse father, and an ignorant individual who's rants on politics hold no interest to most thinking Americans. Just another example of a celebrity who thinks that because he is famous his opinions are worth reading.
