Palin tight-lipped on political future

(CNN) - Sarah Palin told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday she's not ready to announce any decision on whether she will seek re-election as governor of Alaska in 2010 or seek the Republcian presidential nomination in 2012.

"I'm not definitely going to do anything yet," said the former Republican vice presidential candidate. "What I'm trying to get done for Alaska right now is to get that Alaska gas line built. We need those energy sources flowing through North America. That's what my focus is."

Pressed if she had made a decision privately about future plans, Palin said "No decision that I'd want to announce today."

In a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released last week, Palin was effectively tied with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as the top pick by Republicans for the party's 2012 presidential nomination.

I think she is gearing up for the close race for Ms. Hooters Gal

I understand it takes a form fitting gal that knows how to make a statement

Memo to Palin supporters: All she's doing is creating every excuse to portray herself as a victim, encouraging you to see yourself as a victim, too.

She's using you to further her political ambitions, while she's being used to further the political ambitions of folks like Karl Rove and Grover Norquist, you really don't give a rat's arse about average Americans: Take a close look at how their tax policies exclusively favor the wealthy; did your income rise under Bush? Are you better off now than you were in 2000?

You are the voting equivalent of cannon fodder: Totally expendable. You'll be pandered to about anti-abortion this and anti-gay that; pro-gun this and anti-tax that; family values this and anti-Hollywood that. You'll go vote, like you voted for GW Bush, and as your lives continue to get progressively worse, Palin and the GOP will continue blaming "the media" and "the Liberals" and any other boogie-man they think you'll fall for.

All the while, they'll be taking your money, shipping jobs overseas, degrading the environment, etc., etc.

Wake up and smell the coffee, folks! Palin is just another puppet along the lines of GW Bush – it's just not that hard to connect the dots!

    "Tight lipped"? You're kidding right?
I listened to Plain's bleeting this morning and the that woman is like Liz Cheney – a non-stop, uninteruptable talking machine.
Like Cheney, she has a blovatous stream of non-stop conscienceness that is nothing but a series of empty political rhetoric – you know, freedom, small government, lower taxes, keeping America safe, yada yada.
Plus, Palin should be blasted by "real" Americans for making political hay by dragging her children into the public discourse. Palin's nothing but a fundamentalist, trailer park trash political hack...

I wish she were more tight lipped about a lot of other things. Every time she opens those thin lips she says something stupid and ignorant. Tighten up some more Sarah!

Why does CNN devote the whole ticker to this idiot? I'm offended by her very being as a woman, wife and mother. I would be TERRIFIED for my daughter if she grew up under a Palin Administration.

Somebody aughta make more fun of she and her hillbilly family. Oh, but then they'd still be in the media milking it for everything it's worth. So, scratch that....

Tight lipped????? PLEASE sarah, shut up!!!!

Quit embarrassing yourself and your family daily. You failed as a mother, dragged you children into the media and portray a perpetual victim about anything that comes your way. Quit insulting all of us and
    do your job.

Well, let me be the first to actaully trash her white trash family. The Palins are not only a danger to our coutnry, but a danger to their own family. They exploit their chidlren for politcial gain. They are dangerously demented in terms of their religious beliefs, and let's face it, if she wsn't a MILF, no one would care. The Plains just used thier 14 years old daughter to "snap on David Lettermen". How disgusting. But then again, this comes from the party taht invaded sourvern nation to jack up Military Contracts.

She should do porn. She would be more popular.

Heh-heh! It will be fun watching those 3 clowns tear each other up in the GOP primaries.

Do you think Huck and Romney are going to play nice-nice with Sugarskirt? No way!

And she'll bring out her cat claws.

But in the end, they will be vanquished by Barack Obama!

She has none except to stir people into racial slurs and anger towards anyone who doesn't agree with her religious philosophy. I'm surprised she has the nerve to even show her face anymore after the hypocrisy she calls her life. The radical right loves her because underneath their "christian" facade, they are as racist and hateful as she is.

Dave is the one who keeps bringing up Palin. Dave is a poisonous piece of crap who should never talk or suggest things about people or politics. I don't want to watch a show that is supposed to be "entertaiment" and then listen to Dave's crappy and obstructed opinions about politics. Dave wouldn't lik eit one bit if some comedian made fun of his little boy being molested in the mens room by Moonvees. Dave can worship his Messiah "O" (Satan's son). He will pay for it with his dirty soal. Dave isn't as degrading to women, children or anyone else as he is to himself. Dave is an evil minded piece of whale crap on the bottom of the ocean.

I am so sick of this woman. By the way, she is the one that used her family as props and tokens during her run for office. If she put them on display, then she will have to suffer the consequences of peoples jokes. No matter how tasteless they are.

    Liberals HATE this woman.

    Why?

    ...because they fear her.

For that reason alone, they have taken it as their mission to see not that she merely lose a political race... rather that she be personally destroyed, regardless of how ugly or vicious a manner it may take... even if, and especially if, that means taking her whole family down with her.

What else could explain the media's and the left's perpetual, stalking, obsession with, and inability to ignore, Palin?

Liberals... you won the election. YOU WON!!! Your man is in office now. Palin does not exist.

Letterman's smear wasn't just ugly. It was beyond the pale of basic human dignity. If you have a problem with Palin or her political leanings, FINE. Make the case. You're entitled and even encouraged to do so. But leave the woman's child out of it.

Letterman's tacky gutter swipes are exactly the kind of ugly, spoiled, snarky, ignorant adolescent behavior that will sour this nation on Democrats for a generation. Tread lightly Democrats... tread very lightly on this one, indeed.

    Wow, liberal hatred continues unabated.

I bet you guys support CBS's pedophilia jokes, too. After all, you don't agree with Palin so neither she nor her family count as human beings, right?

You liberals are no different than the anti-Fox journalism major who shot up the Holocaust museum.

    @jimbo

Dave keeps bringing up Palin because she is very easy to pick on and make jokes about her. If she was talking intelligently, knowledgeably and in a correct English Dave wouldn't have it so easy to pick at her.
I consider absolutely disrespectful and insulting to the majority of the American citizens to talk this way about the person who is in the highest office in this country voted by its citizens.

  25. Diana, Detroit

Why on earth would you want to elect a person to our highest office who sells herself as a "victim of the media?"
True leaders do not point fingers and whine. True leaders rise above it, laugh off what's not important and concentrate on what is.
The Letterman flap reminds me of the "lipstick on a pig" manufactured scandal from the campaign. Such pettiness and fake outrage is more suited for reality TV than elected office.
